07/04/2026: As a beer enthusiast and professional, I wanted to visit Brasserie des Îles d’Or in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, the welcome was disappointing. The reception was cold and impersonal, with an approach solely focused on sales. No one even got up from their chair; interaction and consideration are sorely lacking. This is all the more disappointing in an environment where sharing and passion should be paramount. An experience that doesn't reflect the image one expects from a brewery. Disappointing...

07/04/2026: We went to Jardin Tropezina in Ramatuelle and had booked the first available time slot. Unfortunately, we were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant, not outside with a view of the beach – a disappointing start. The food and drinks were mediocre at best. The taste was okay, but nothing special – especially considering the prices. I had a burger for about €46, which was good, but rather small and came with very few sides. For a third of the price, you can get significantly more, and often even better quality, at many good burger joints. What was really disappointing was that, as is customary there, a serving table was set up next to our table. Our main course had been sitting there for several minutes while we were still enjoying the amuse-bouche. Shortly after, it was practically snatched from our hands so the main course could be served. This seemed unnecessarily rushed and poorly planned. Overall, the service felt very rigid and almost over-organized. The waiters were friendly, but very focused on following their service plan – which sometimes made them seem a little tense. The ambiance, however, is truly outstanding and hard to beat – you're definitely paying for the location and the atmosphere right on the beach. All in all: a beautiful place – especially for those who see money as just a number.

20/04/2026: Very welcoming restaurant, even for a last-minute group of 20! I haven't had such good pizzas in a long time; great crust and generous toppings. Friendly staff and fast service!

08/11/2025: At 1 p.m., the daily special was gone... so I had to choose a steak or duck breast, which was much more expensive... the fries were greasy, the rump steak too fatty, and there was no salad or it was an extra charge... The dining room was noisy, and I didn't want to sit under the air conditioning, it was either too hot or too cold! It's really not worth the price unless you manage to get the daily special!

24/09/2025: Business lunch. Despite fairly quick service, the quality of the food was disappointing: the daily special of chicken leg and fries was a small portion and the fried chicken was overcooked. The price was excessive for the quantity served and the quality of the food. The air conditioning was incredibly noisy in the dining room, and the cleanliness was only average.

19/03/2026: A sublime, very natural setting. The room was clean, simple but functional, with a very comfortable bed. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed: dishes, coffee, tea, sugar, microwave, and refrigerator. The shower and toilet were very clean. Towels and linens were provided. We had a very pleasant stay and would gladly return. We highly recommend this ideal location.

The Carthage restaurant, located on Place du Mûrier, is much more than just a restaurant for us… it has become a true favorite ❤️ Since 2020, we've been coming back again and again, and each visit is pure bliss. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with exceptional warmth by Saliha and Khaled, who are always smiling, attentive, and incredibly generous. You immediately feel right at home. And what can we say about the food… everything is absolutely delicious! Flavorful, authentic dishes, prepared with love and impeccable quality. Every bite is a journey, a true delight for the taste buds. The atmosphere is friendly, warm, and genuine… exactly what you're looking for when you want to have a perfect time. A huge thank you to Saliha and Khaled for their welcome, their passion, and their dedication. You make this place truly unique.

30/10/2025: Owner, wife, and staff—all attentive to the customer. Super friendly, top-notch service, great beer, great fries. A wonderful experience for us Vosges locals who came out of nowhere. We'll definitely make the detour next time we're in the area.

30/03/2026: We eat here very often when we're in Cavalaire. The owner is very approachable and communicative. Don't forget he's busy and can't chat for three hours. He's on his own and deserves it. He works hard. The food and prices are very reasonable. Criticism is easy. Those who are unhappy can move on, but don't ruin this business for the average French person. Keep it up, J M, don't change a thing.

09/04/2026: This place has been well-known for many years, but I'd say it's now become a tourist trap. They used to have very good ice cream, but today it's very disappointing due to the lack of flavor and excessive sugar. And the waffle cone: it tastes ordinary too, without the crispness of a handcrafted cone, more like a mass-produced one. Plus, they only accept credit cards for orders over €15.

11/04/2026: I ordered mussels, advertised as a house specialty, and it was a terrible experience. The taste was already very disappointing, with an impression of frozen food (onions, garlic, and probably the mussels themselves). But most importantly, I got sick after the meal, with symptoms that lasted for several days. It was the only dish I ate that evening, so I seriously question the freshness of the ingredients. I even had to continue working in that condition, which made the situation even more difficult. A very bad experience for me.

22/02/2026: Very disappointed… I used to go to this restaurant often before it changed hands, and it was excellent. I decided to give the new owners a chance, and the dishes were pretty much the same, but less fresh; we got sick. Furthermore, there were many things missing: no beef, not enough drinks for the whole table, no rice, and so on. I won't be going back.

14/02/2026: We're thrilled this legendary restaurant has new owners. We hadn't been there in years and were pleasantly surprised. Excellent food, great service. We were very pleased. We also learned they now offer musical evenings. We'll definitely be back!
