31/08/2026: I'm giving 3 stars mainly because of Laura, the waitress, who was lovely, always smiling, and very professional. She even gave my children ice cream. Thank you to her for her warm welcome and kindness 😊 The 2 stars I'm deducting are for the mussels with Roquefort cheese, which I found quite disappointing as they were very watery, and for the owner's behavior during an altercation with a dissatisfied customer. I found some of the comments he made as the customer was leaving to be really inappropriate, especially in front of the other customers. The karaoke atmosphere was fun. It's a shame, because with a better meal and a more professional attitude from the owner, the experience would have been much better.

30/08/2026: A disastrous experience from start to finish! We had reserved a table for 14 people. We placed our order with the waiter, who returned to tell us there was no more fish at all. When we pointed out that my mother doesn't eat meat and that we hadn't been informed beforehand, the waiter magically "found" three portions. The nightmare continued with the rib-eye steaks (there weren't enough left) and the children's menus, before he finally brought us what we had originally ordered (minced steaks). A few other unacceptable points noted during our visit: A surprise on the bill: Beers listed at €5 on the menu were charged at €8 when we paid, the waiter (wrongly) claiming that he had warned us. Mediocre food: Uncleaned mussels served in a tasteless, watery sauce. Disrespectful service: Plates were cleared before we'd even finished eating. Questionable hygiene: The area behind the bar was visibly filthy, and the staff at the counter were extremely unpleasant when we paid. The worst part was the owner's reaction when we tried to express our disappointment regarding the lack of communication about stock shortages. His response was, to say the least, bizarre and disrespectful: "When you come to a restaurant, you eat what's available and what's left." A bill of €420. Total disregard for the customer. Absolutely avoid this place, even if you're just going for a drink!

19/09/2026: The ice cream wasn't great. It didn't have much flavor and was very sweet.

11/09/2026: As a customer since 2007, I've placed several orders since the change of ownership and have always been very satisfied with the value for money. Deliveries are always on time, the wait time on the phone is now very short, and the service is still excellent. I will continue to order delivery.

21/08/2026: Hello, Why did you change the homemade bread at Les Américains? The current baguette is really not as good. Regulars like me were used to Jiji's American bread, and it would be great if they could make the effort to bring back the bread they used to make. The recipe hasn't changed, but the bread has, and honestly, it's quite disappointing, especially since Jiji's American bread is usually among the best around! On the other hand, the service is friendly, the cooks are still there, and the owners are pleasant.

02/09/2026: It's nice but there's too much noise, too many people, not enough tables, and it's too expensive too.

30/08/2026: I stopped at McDonald's with my son for ice cream. I ordered two McFlurries with table service. The restaurant was practically empty: two customers were already seated and being served. One employee was emptying the trash, another was preparing a takeout order, while two servers were chatting quietly with an acquaintance. We waited… 5 minutes, then 10 minutes. Still no ice cream. In the meantime, the two servers had disappeared. So I finally went to ask for my order. The employee looked for her colleagues, couldn't find them, and finally asked me what I had ordered. She served me the two ice creams very kindly; I have no complaints about her service. However, the McFlurries were only half full. So I pointed out to her that, at €4.75 per ice cream, it was starting to get expensive for half a McFlurry. She replied, very politely and visibly embarrassed, that those were the guidelines. Granted, she's just following instructions and isn't responsible. But when you pay €4.75 for a McFlurry, you still expect a decent amount of product in the cup. Between the 10-minute wait in a practically empty restaurant, the staff who seem more interested in chatting than serving customers, and now smaller portions at full price… This McDonald's is really getting worse and worse.

20/08/2026: A good, reasonably priced restaurant with a very friendly atmosphere. I go there regularly for takeout or to eat in, and I'm never disappointed! Highly recommended! Well done and thank you!

20/07/2026: I had delivery tonight: disgusting spring rolls, impossible to eat because they fell apart into a thousand pieces. The food had no flavor. Last time I order from there…

17/09/2026: An average place, with average drinks and average service. Its main draw is its location. The iced coffee is quite mediocre, and you have to wait a long time to be served.

16/09/2026: Bad experience. The manager is not at all welcoming. He doesn't care about the customers. I brought 50 people from my association, and I left very disappointed and offended by the manager's lack of professionalism. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

13/09/2026: After a staff turnover, the service isn't exactly welcoming (except for the most senior employee); even a simple "hello" is a struggle. But when I see that on a Sunday at 9:30 a.m. there are no croissants and the stoic waitress simply replies, "No, we don't have any"... You should find another line of work...

22/08/2026: We ordered a birthday cake for our daughter. A raspberry macaron. I reserved it by phone and there were no problems picking it up, contrary to many reviews. The saleswoman was welcoming and very kind. We also tried the bread, the chorizo ​​baguette, and a second time we had an afternoon snack. Special mention for the pavlova, which was incredibly delicious! I recommend this bakery.

08/11/2025: Shameful! I made a reservation for my birthday, it was confirmed, so I arrived on time and on the day I booked, only to find the restaurant closed. There were no signs, no posts on their Instagram mentioning the closure, especially since the reservation had been confirmed by email and text message. Thanks for ruining my birthday!

27/10/2025: I had reserved a table via the website. Reservation confirmed. We showed up on Sunday, October 26th, and what a surprise. It said "closed." I don't know if it's permanently closed. We had to find another solution. And to top it all off, this morning I received a message asking how my meal went. It's better to laugh about it...

13/05/2026: Disappointed with the service and experience. Not even a greeting during check-in – and if you're like us and end up in a room next to the kitchen, it's as if you're part of the kitchen staff. In short, it's not a hotel, but rather a restaurant masquerading as a hotel.

06/08/2026: A very unpleasant experience. The bartender was unfriendly, never smiled, and gave the impression of being a bother. No greeting was offered. Prices were very opaque, and no paper receipt was provided. Avoid at all costs.

26/06/2026: I sit down on the terrace. No one comes to see me. I go to the bar to get my coffee. It costs €2. The price displayed at the counter is €1.80. Apparently, that's the price on the terrace. Great! You've saved 20 cents…👍👏 Please display: tourist price: €2 😉

23/09/2026: ⭐️ Huge disappointment! We bought pizzas advertised as XXL at Marie Blachère in La Garde. When they arrived, they were barely 30 cm in diameter. For "XXL," we're still looking for the XXL... But what's even more disappointing is the topping: an enormous amount of dough, with almost a third of the pizza without any real toppings, and very few ingredients in the center. It feels like we're paying for the dough itself! So we complained to the cashier. And there, another disappointment: the only response was to offer us a pizza that was already in stock, without any real consideration for our dissatisfaction. When a product is advertised as "XXL," the least it should be is genuinely generous, both in size and toppings. Very poor quality/quantity/price ratio and frankly disappointing handling of the complaint. For us, this will be the last time we buy pizzas at Marie Blachère.

22/09/2026: I went to this bakery and was very surprised to see an employee spraying window cleaner while pizzas were displayed right next to them in the window. I find this truly appalling and, above all, quite concerning regarding hygiene and food safety. This type of cleaning should be carried out with greater care, away from food products. I hope management will take this problem seriously.

11/08/2026: Ordered this evening for delivery to a location 800m from the pizzeria. The delivery driver was very friendly and early, but the price was exorbitant: €18.50 for a medium-sized goat cheese and honey pizza and a bottle of cheap "Brise Marine" rosé wine for €10. That's outrageous. I understand it's tourist season, but this is excessive. It's a shame, the pizza was good, but we'll go elsewhere because €28.50 is shameful... Customers aren't cash cows. I don't recommend it.

01/08/2026: I arrived at the pizza truck and, seeing that there was hardly anyone there, I simply asked how long it would take to order two pizzas. I clearly made the mistake of interrupting what seemed to be a very important conversation… In response, I was met with an aggressive reply, for no apparent reason. I didn't push it and decided to leave without ordering. I understand being busy, but speaking to a customer like that is unacceptable. First and last visit for me.

09/09/2026: Avoid at all costs! What is the DDPP (Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations) doing? Ketchup with no expiration date and no taste of the real thing. Steak tartare served at a high temperature, in short, tasteless. Really disappointed for this type of place, what a shame. Simple dishes that don't live up to expectations. Luckily, the young waitress calmed things down. Honestly, get out of your establishment and find some inspiration; it's better to just throw things together if you don't know how. Saint-Tropez doesn't mean anything goes.

08/09/2026: Simple and affordable meals, considering what you'd find in St. Tropez. An omelet, salad, and a glass of wine was exactly what I was looking for—a light lunch that I enjoyed. €19.50 is reasonable. It was quite busy at the beginning of September, but I was served quickly.

29/10/2025: Well, I've never had that happen before! We came in the evening, Tuesday, for dinner. We were seated, the girl left and stopped talking to us; she went outside to chat. Anyway, a man came up and asked us what we wanted. We told him we hadn't received the cards, and he replied, "Go look outside at the board." I forgot, "I didn't print them out (mistake #1, see #2)." Given the way we left! So, we went outside and chose. Seriously, the nerve!! (We asked for two dishes, namely, stuffed vegetables and fish soup.) He said: "Oh, well, there aren't any left!" Wow! They really went too far. We had started our beers; I only drink with food, so we hadn't finished. He offered them to us! The least he could do...🤪 If they had a busy lunch service (which I can understand), they should have closed in the evening, or crossed out the dishes, or told us before making us go outside to choose! Sir, I hereby name you world champion of "I don't give a damn!" So we left and ate at a more expensive restaurant across the street, but absolutely Delicious, a lovely restaurant owner! Dear restaurant owner, Forever...!!! DON'T TAKE IT TOO FAR. Signed. Var vacationers!!!!

11/10/2025: Just perfect service, a super friendly boss and a more than perfect employee. A truly exquisite meal with a very good starter (really very good panisse) and a truly perfect pizza, I highly recommend it.
