28/09/2026: My favorite place for a quick lunch! I love the hot dogs, they're delicious and generously topped, but the cookies are to die for!! I give them a 100% thumbs up, and the Nutella and whipped cream lattes are also divine! It's a very cozy and welcoming place, perfect for grabbing a coffee or an afternoon snack. I highly recommend it; there's always a great selection, and the bagels are excellent too. Best cookies ever 🍪

12/09/2026: At the time of this review, the place is "temporarily closed." I'm glad because if you're a foreigner and speak English, you'll be ignored. We were told to choose a table, sit down, and wait for the waiter. We sat down, chose food from the menu, and waited, waving, trying to get their attention. The waitress saw us and just went about her business! We got up and left! I don't recommend this place!!!!

23/05/2026: We came to this restaurant hoping for a pleasant evening and unfortunately had a very shocking experience. While eating our appetizer, we noticed what strongly resembled mold and a moldy taste on the prosciutto. We calmly, discreetly, and respectfully pointed out the problem to the owner, without causing a scene or disturbing the other customers, simply hoping he would change the dish and we could move on. Instead, the owner began speaking to us aggressively, asserting that he was certain of his ingredients. He then called the chef, who spoke to us in the same tone. Despite this, we tried to remain polite and explain that we didn't want to offend anyone and that we were simply within our rights to request a change of dish when faced with a suspicious-looking item. The situation then escalated for no apparent reason: the owner spoke to us very rudely, removed our drinks from the table, and asked us to leave, saying he didn't want customers like us. We left extremely shocked and humiliated, even though we never raised our voices or disrespected anyone. Our evening was completely ruined. It's all the more disappointing because we were regular customers and used to come here to celebrate our important occasions. We will never set foot in this place again. I would have given it zero stars if I could.

21/05/2026: I stopped for a soda; there were four tourists on the terrace, but the waiter took 20 minutes to come and take my order... he was too busy telling his love stories about English women... more of a fish market than a relaxing place... the only good thing was the pretty view.

25/10/2026: For the same price, we get less and less, the fillings are less and less provided... forced to take extras to get what we used to have.

21/09/2026: I came to eat with my dad at Mister Pizza Mandelieu and we had a wonderful time! The welcome was fantastic, the staff very friendly, and the service impeccable. The food was excellent, everything was truly delicious. A big thank you to the whole team for this lovely experience; we will definitely be back! ❤️🍕

12/10/2026: Outside you're eating with the pigeons! Inside you have to eat in your swimsuit because it's so hot and there's no ventilation! The service is appalling! In short, avoid it! 🫡

11/10/2026: Good food, not long of a wait. Very reasonable prices. Made a good change from the UK McDonald that I am used to. However there was lots of rubbish left on tables and people pushing in front of you in queues. The lady who brought me my order wished me a good meal in french and English.

03/10/2026: I'll start with the acceptable: the set menu was like any other French restaurant, neither better nor worse. The shrimp in olive oil was good. The zucchini blossoms were very bad, over-fried. The terrible part: the service. They treat tourists like second-class citizens. The two tables next to us were served bruschetta with anchovies. We also ordered the same sole as the table next to us, but they showed it to them before serving it, while we didn't. You can feel the poor service and discrimination. And this is coming from a reservation at a 5-star luxury hotel. At the table they gave us, we were elbow-to-elbow with the people next to us (in the attached photo, I blurred out my wife, who was between the two people you see on either side). We accidentally smoked with them. In short, don't waste your money, even if many locals recommend it; there are better options. This is a cafeteria serving food, far from being a restaurant to enjoy an evening with your partner.

30/09/2026: We loved our experience here, not only was the food excellent but the staff was over the top and we also had a little magic show at the end. Definitely recommend.

16/09/2026: We enjoyed the shrimp ravioli and the zucchini blossom fritters. Everything was absolutely delicious! A wonderful discovery, with flavorful and perfectly prepared dishes. We highly recommend it!

02/10/2026: Fasinately rude waiter. Slammed everything on table, delivered wrong salad and totally dismissed that fact and stormed away from us. So rude was nearly funny 😁

12/10/2026: Catastrophic! Absolutely avoid this place! Unpleasant staff. No smiles, no friendliness. You ask for a carafe of water, they bring you a glass, and when you ask for it refilled, you get the feeling you're bothering them! The food is very average. The prices are very high. I won't be going back and I strongly advise you against going.

15/03/2026: Good food, good service. However, €9 for a bottle of sparkling water made with a SodaStream/Purezza machine…??? That's a shame; we won't be back for that reason alone.

07/03/2026: In my opinion, the bartender could easily do without smoking his IQOS or equivalent cigarette behind the bar... I'm sure a customer wouldn't be able to... A very atypical Chardonnay... lots of wind and drafts for very little emotion... the quality isn't there... The price is there... Pied Pipers

13/08/2026: Such a lovely server really nice and welcoming. Spoke English as well. Delicious pastries and coffee really good. Looks like a nice store selling variety of drinks and snacks. There is parking on the front, you can also sit inside/outside.

05/10/2026: The saleswoman's welcome was disastrous. She talked on her phone while taking orders, and was very unpleasant at the checkout. It was like she was bothering me; she said, "It's your job, Madam, it's a shame I don't know your name." They sold me a bag from the day before, not even sealed—unacceptable! And she told me, "No, they're fine!" I will never go back to this disastrous bakery.

21/10/2026: Sadly, l'Ovale is permanently closed.

03/10/2026: We made a reservation and when we arrived the restaurant was simply CLOSED. Terrible experience!

08/10/2026: I just asked if I could buy something during happy hour (my wife is breastfeeding), and they told me no, happy hour is for both of us.

19/09/2026: We stopped by on a whim for a cocktail and were very pleasantly surprised. The waiter was super friendly and smiling. The cocktail was delicious. Thank you for the warm welcome, it was much appreciated.

10/08/2026: Very welcoming staff. Excellent Corsican cakes. Quiet place to quench your thirst.

29/07/2026: Often when I go there, there are two or three people behind the counter, they look at me, and no one takes the initiative to serve me; it's usually someone who's either behind the counter or in the dining area clearing tables who comes to serve me. The bread is always overcooked.
