22/06/2026: Food was terrible and somehow came out in 7 minutes, which is the only fast thing about this place except how quickly I regretted it. The guy running the floor is rude and has a real talent for making the food taste even worse than it already did. They rush you out like there’s a line wrapped around the block, meanwhile the reviews suck, the dining room’s empty, and the food lives down to every word of it

16/07/2026: The best wine bar, the benchmark in Old Nice. Established in 1947, Jean-Philippe Gazan, the owner and manager of La Cave de la Tour, is dedicated to preserving traditions. For connoisseurs and lovers of Niçois wines, they offer wines from Bellet and Saint-Jeannet, at the foot of the Baou. Even if you're welcomed in, you'll feel like you've entered paradise. "There are men and there are Niçois," proclaims the slogan above the entrance; it says it all. The best selection of rosés is available at the bar, particularly from the Estandon cooperative winery. They also offer local wines on tap, available to take away in bottles. Always excellent. Consider ordering small plates for an aperitif (especially the beautiful charcuterie board) and come for the annual World Championship of Stuffed Vegetables – it's a truly prestigious event! World Championship of Stuffed Vegetables from Nice Every year, in a festive atmosphere, around twenty amateur cooks compete before a jury of chefs for the title.

08/02/2026: Terrible 👎 The €21 octopus salad was just canned beans and arugula. Three measly pieces of octopus. And it wasn't even seasoned. Most of the servers didn't speak French or English. My other friends thought it was expensive for what was on their plates. The portions were ridiculous. This used to be an excellent family restaurant. They kept the same name after the change of ownership. They didn't even bother to change the location and turn it into a tourist trap: SHAME ON YOU. 🤌🏻 We didn't stay for dessert.

14/12/2025: If you’re looking for a restaurant right in the heart of Nice’s old town, this is a great choice. It has a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere and a varied menu with plenty of cuisines to suit different tastes. I chose the lamb chops, which were absolutely divine and cooked perfectly. Prices for meals are very reasonable, especially considering the location and quality. One thing to note: if you’re dining in the evening, it’s worth bringing a jacket. The narrow streets can get chilly, and while there are gas heaters, an extra layer will make the experience far more comfortable.

15/06/2026: I placed an order on Uber Eats and frankly, I was outraged to receive my order in a black bag (the deguê and the bottle of water) and the lattike and the plantains in a white bag… no bag at all… nothing. The lattike was packed in an aluminum bowl with two or three pieces of cucumber… It was dry, as was the chicken, which was TOUGH, very dry. No seasoning… no oil, no sauce… the deguê was barely digestible! The millet grains were rock hard! And a liquid (I don't know if it was milk or yogurt). In short… the taste, the presentation… the preparation. At least make the effort to present the products you sell in a more appealing way. It's disappointing.

06/08/2026: Hello, I had a very bad experience that ended with me being assaulted by the son of two of their friends and most likely the owner, who rushed at me out of jealousy over a woman they intended to approach. Unfortunately, she preferred to accept my invitation; it's a place that could be a haven of peace. On the positive side, I'll remember the excellent cocktails.

04/04/2026: Absolutely avoid this place. That's the last time I'll ever set foot in there. Pay close attention to the meat they serve you: they just scoop it straight from a bowl and give you yesterday's leftovers… I'll stop there; more in the other comments.

19/07/2026: The taco was awful, the cheese sauce was disgusting. Furthermore, I ordered a chicken curry tenders taco, but I received a ground beef tenders taco.

30/07/2026: Don't pay attention to the negative reviews and go eat at Pasta Basta. We received a very warm welcome and excellent service. And what can I say about the food? There were six of us, and we ordered different meals, and everything was excellent. If we ever return to the area, we will definitely go back.

29/07/2026: Excellent welcome, I had a beef stew which was also excellent, the staff are friendly and attentive, I highly recommend it

02/06/2026: Don’t take those negative reviews, this really is a great street food spot, and best of all stays open late. The wrap bread is baked from scratch in front of you on the sajj and same goes for the crepes. We got the beef wrap and it was amazing got extra pickles and olives and it was so good. We got a crepe sucre and simple is better and very very fresh too. Take it to the nearby fountain.

18/05/2026: I got a cheese and mushroom crepe. Crepe wasn't freshly made, mushrooms weren't fresh either. It was probably the worst thing I've eaten in my entire life. But I forced myself to finish it, so that anything I ever eat from now on tastes amazing in comparison. So thank you Thym Thym for giving me this wonderful gift. I highly recommend other people go there and do the same as me.

19/07/2026: Very good, friendly staff. The bread, croissants, chocolates, etc., were all very good; they even had trompe-l'œil cakes, I'll try them next time.

12/07/2026: The products are good, although a bit pricey, but frankly, the service is appalling. Not a single smile; you get the feeling you're bothering them.

03/07/2026: The owner was extremely unpleasant. We wanted to have a drink while watching the World Cup match, and when someone asked for a carafe of water, he replied dismissively, "It's going to be a long evening, especially with just a glass of water." We were clearly not welcome, and despite being a party of seven, he only gave us one small table for all of us. It was very unpleasant and excessively expensive (€5.80 for a soda). There was absolutely no consideration from the staff. I do not recommend this place at all.

02/07/2026: A very bad experience. Five of us came to watch the Spain-Austria match and have a drink. Upon arrival, we were seated in an unwelcoming atmosphere at two small tables side by side. After taking our order, the owner made a comment when someone simply asked for a glass of water, saying that "it's going to be a long evening with just a glass of water to watch the match." When the drinks arrived, most of the tables around us had chips, except for ours. Then, as soon as he realized we weren't planning on eating, he made the five of us sit around a single small table, with no regard for our comfort. The owner was cold and unwelcoming. We clearly got the impression that people who were just there for a drink weren't welcome. In the end, a deplorable welcome and a real lack of consideration for customers.

09/07/2026: A takeaway order, served by a very unfriendly waitress: the crab claw fritters still had the shells on, and the same for the unpeeled shrimp fritters. It's shameful, I almost lost a tooth.

27/05/2026: Honestly, this was my first time here, and the woman was really unwelcoming. I felt like my presence bothered her. I asked for a sauce, and she sighed and said "Oh la la." Even a child asked her why she sighed, but she didn't answer. To make matters worse, she didn't close the container at all and let several other customers go ahead of me. Thanks for the terrible service; I'll never come back. Don't hire employees who can't even say a simple hello to a customer when they come in.

20/06/2026: Exceptionally good bakery! The pastries are fresh daily with fruit, not frozen for once. The specialty breads are very good, as are the baguettes, and the sweet and savory petits fours are top-notch. Take advantage of it, especially since it's just been renovated. 14/11/2025: The owner, Katia, made my wife and I feel like absolute VIPs on our honeymoon. The table service was very attentive and it seemed that other customers were attended to very promptly attended to at the same time. 10,000% recommended and would visit again! I recommend the Nutella, pistachio and mango ice creams.

28/09/2025: Unacceptable service. I simply asked for tea, which was clearly stated on the menu, and the waitress responded in a derogatory manner, calling my request "weird." She then introduced herself as the "boss" and continued to behave arrogantly and disrespectfully toward the customer. This attitude is completely unprofessional and should have no place in the restaurant industry. This establishment deserves to be called "Bad Mood."
