27/09/2024: We stayed a few nights at Mas Candille and to get used to the beautiful 5-star establishments, here is our experience: - The hotel is located in a peaceful environment, in the heart of Mougins. The view is splendid! - Our arrival at the hotel was absolutely not warm. The gentleman at reception neither welcomed us, nor offered refreshments, nor a tour of the premises... He simply asked us our name and gave us the room card. - The room is new, in a cozy style. The bedding is excellent! - The restaurant for dining overlooks a pretty swimming pool. We waited 15 minutes before a server took our order. - The restaurant's kitchen is open to the tables. Which is generally appreciable provided that the kitchen is not a place of chatter and a noise nuisance for the terrace! The chef and his brigade were particularly noisy and constantly on their cell phones and laptops. Damage. - The dishes were very good and the servers were pleasant. - Back in the room, a very loud noise from the outside air conditioning prevented us from getting to sleep. We asked to change rooms the next day. - Breakfast is very good. The room is not spacious but the staff are pleasant. - The establishment has a second very large and heated swimming pool. The problem: no service around the swimming pool. No one to welcome or available. In a 4 star, this would be normal. Finally, the overall experience is a little disappointing, especially since we regularly go to Mas de Pierre, which is a real guarantee of 5-star quality. We are well aware that Mas Candille opened its doors a few months ago and that the team may struggle to get up to speed.

30/08/2024: Very disappointing in terms of reception. A former customer of Mas de Candille before the change, it was made clear to me that it was impossible to take advantage of the swimming pool even if we had lunch at lunchtime at the POOL, a massage at the spa and another dinner in the evening! Night time is essential! No problem we will go elsewhere...

13/08/2024: Given the comments, at first I said to myself I wouldn't go there and go to the other 2 next door which weren't great in the end. I decided to go there to form my own opinion. I bought baguettes and sandwiches, they are very good, I am not disappointed and what's more, hot baguettes are always a pleasure.

24/08/2024: Table de 5 dont une personne en fauteuil roulant... Cadre magnifique mais pizzas dégueu,je ne trouve pas d'autres mots,la pâte était dure et la sauce pas assaisonnée, c'était fade, sans goût,bref très mauvaise expérience, à fuir!!!!

25/09/2024: A disappointment. If the ratatouille was overall very good, the pieces of charred vegetables were less appreciable. The stew was dry and the gnocchi overcooked. In short, the cooking needs to be reviewed. The service also seemed unorganized.

06/04/2024: Very rude. We wanted to have a drink and were rudely turned away with the information that the empty restaurant was fully booked due to the show. When I asked if I could go to the toilet for a moment, I was told that this was only for guests and I was turned away. It's a shame how the community treats each other. This is a very bad place.

02/09/2024: Nothing to say about the menu, it’s Mac Do, so a sure bet! The little minus, a large number of employees who take their break slumped on the tables in front of the restaurant, that doesn't necessarily give a great image.

26/03/2024: Good coffee. Below, the 500gr sachets are made in Belgium.? For the 1kg bag, it is made in France. It remains to be seen whether the beans and the roasting will be of the same quality or, in the Italian style. (Small and overcooked) for my taste. Laos coffee does not produce much foam. 13/04/2024: Nem et beignets de crevettes manque de cuisson plat trop salé sauce minime une demi de bouteille de côté du Rhône sur la carte à 8€ pas dispo me propose une 50 cl de rouge de Provence à la place mais pas sur la carte ! Résultat à l’addition 16€ ?? Restaurant sans apéro pas de licence !!!! Plus jamais pour moi

14/09/2024: So what has become of the Hôtel Mercure brand? What’s more, we thought we would find a high-level Mercure hotel at this address (Promenade des Anglais). Everything seems old, from another era! This feeling is present from the layout of the reception. The room is also not up to standard: painting, decoration, bathroom, bedding; we have to start all over again. You should not expect the standard of other Mercury! I'll temper my comment a little. The next morning, expressing my disappointment at reception, I was listened to by a very pleasant and very professional person. We were able to change rooms and the new one corresponds a little better to Mercure standards. THANKS !

13/09/2024: It's a bit old for the price. Reception does not have the charm that we are used to from All Accor. The service in the breakfast room is very nice and competent.

I recommend" that was my comment before, but now I would say that the pan bagnats are still as good but the service is the bare minimum, customer for 20 years, never a smile, I ask if the person knows a place where I can sit to taste the pan bagnat the person tells me no even though the snack room behind her was empty.. well in short we are not asking for the moon but the minimum !
