16/07/2026: The best wine bar, the benchmark in Old Nice. Established in 1947, Jean-Philippe Gazan, the owner and manager of La Cave de la Tour, is dedicated to preserving traditions. For connoisseurs and lovers of Niçois wines, they offer wines from Bellet and Saint-Jeannet, at the foot of the Baou. Even if you're welcomed in, you'll feel like you've entered paradise. "There are men and there are Niçois," proclaims the slogan above the entrance; it says it all. The best selection of rosés is available at the bar, particularly from the Estandon cooperative winery. They also offer local wines on tap, available to take away in bottles. Always excellent. Consider ordering small plates for an aperitif (especially the beautiful charcuterie board) and come for the annual World Championship of Stuffed Vegetables – it's a truly prestigious event! World Championship of Stuffed Vegetables from Nice Every year, in a festive atmosphere, around twenty amateur cooks compete before a jury of chefs for the title.

15/08/2026: Unfriendly welcome. Feeling like a nuisance. A piece of plastic was found in the ice and reported. No apology or gesture of goodwill. A place to avoid.

12/06/2026: It was excellent. The 400g ribeye steak was perfect. The chocolate mousse was perfect and indulgent. The service was top-notch, and the shaded areas with a gentle breeze were very pleasant. Thank you, I highly recommend it.

10/07/2025: Terminal 1, upstairs. Le bar, restaurant closed?? Pre made and heated onsite. Horrible for 28eur/dish.

04/02/2026: A place that closes late where you can dine discreetly and all you can eat. Good, exotic music and unlimited tea upon request. Ayran is also available for those who like it.

08/09/2026: The galette was completely burnt and black on the bottom. It looked fine from the top. The blackening wasn't immediately visible. The taste was okay, but I couldn't even eat half of it. The price/quality ratio is unacceptable.

29/05/2026: We arrived at 6:18 PM to order a hot chocolate. To our surprise, the young employee responded very rudely, telling us she no longer made hot chocolates. However, the establishment displayed a closing time of 7:00 PM, so there were still more than 40 minutes left before closing time. Disappointed by the lack of professionalism.

04/10/2026: The quality was very inconsistent, with some products inedible, like the breadsticks that were as hard as a rock, the cookies for children, and so on… The saleswomen made many mistakes with the orders, so we arrived home with half the products, which was a loss for the turnover. This was due to the noise in the bakery 🤣, not their concentration, just the noise… We were given packaging with pieces of onion from pissaladière instead of a cheese loaf; my wife is allergic to onions, luckily we noticed in time.

02/09/2026: We weren't greeted with a smile, and we chalked it up to the end-of-season tourist fatigue. We ordered two steak tartares, and we weren't given a choice of whether we wanted them prepared or not. They were prepared, which is fine, it's the restaurant's policy, but the mustard hit us from the first bite; we couldn't taste the meat. We left without ordering dessert. Given the price of desserts and the waiter's lack of smiles, we'll get them elsewhere. Besides, €50 for two steak tartares and two aperitifs—that bill will be hard to swallow.

22/08/2026: Ordered a salad niçoise which was horribly salty and surprisingly greasy, yet still cost €18. The service was terrible with inattentive staff who bordered on rude. To add insult to injury, we've discovered that we've been charged twice but have now left the area so cannot go down and complain. There are plenty of other restaurants in Grasse and I would suggest going to one of them.

16/09/2026: I ordered mussels and fries and was told the fryer wasn't working, but that there were roasted potatoes in the oven. When the meal arrived, the potatoes weren't roasted, but still had their skins on and were cold. I couldn't tell they weren't fresh. The mussels—I had 14 pieces—were completely closed. I ate a lot of bread. Frankly, this is a restaurant to avoid. It's expensive, the quality of the food is poor, and I was very disappointed. Our first restaurant after arriving in Menton ☹️

12/09/2026: We certainly ate well, but BEWARE, when the bill arrived we were given an exorbitant price and when we pointed out the "mistake" we were insulted in Italian

05/09/2026: I went to Marie Blachère today to buy white bread, which is very good by the way, as well as some cakes. I was disappointed with the tarts; they were very poorly presented, meh, meh. At first glance, they looked good, but once I got home, the tarts... wow! €3 a tart, seriously? Anyway...

30/08/2026: Hello, I come from Monday to Saturday, I work for a large company, I take a minimum of 36 baguettes morning and evening, does this pose a production problem?

20/08/2026: Always top-notch. Their mushroom-style escalopes with homemade fries are excellent. Never disappointed.

26/06/2026: Friday is aioli day! The cod was perfectly cooked, as were the vegetables. And the aioli sauce was delicious! 😋 The carpaccio and fries were also perfect. Ideal for lunch. Good value for money.

26/07/2026: I went to the bakery to buy pastries for my family and myself, only to find that half of them stayed there even though I paid for them. I strongly advise against going to this awful bakery.

16/07/2026: I agree with several other reviews; the welcome was very unpleasant. Madam, you should find another line of work... One thing is for sure, I won't be going back.

08/02/2026: Terrible 👎 The €21 octopus salad was just canned beans and arugula. Three measly pieces of octopus. And it wasn't even seasoned. Most of the servers didn't speak French or English. My other friends thought it was expensive for what was on their plates. The portions were ridiculous. This used to be an excellent family restaurant. They kept the same name after the change of ownership. They didn't even bother to change the location and turn it into a tourist trap: SHAME ON YOU. 🤌🏻 We didn't stay for dessert.

14/12/2025: If you’re looking for a restaurant right in the heart of Nice’s old town, this is a great choice. It has a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere and a varied menu with plenty of cuisines to suit different tastes. I chose the lamb chops, which were absolutely divine and cooked perfectly. Prices for meals are very reasonable, especially considering the location and quality. One thing to note: if you’re dining in the evening, it’s worth bringing a jacket. The narrow streets can get chilly, and while there are gas heaters, an extra layer will make the experience far more comfortable.

15/09/2026: I can't speak for everyone obviously but I can say me and my friend had a very positive experience here. The food was good, room was cozy and the staff were nice (including one time I got locked out by accident). We needed some packed lunch for our hike the next day and the owner happily prepared us some large ham/cheese/salad sandwiches.

12/09/2026: I absolutely do not recommend it; go across the street instead, the service is unpleasant.
