13/06/2026: Very nice, good food, beautiful setting, terrace by the ramparts, and a friendly waiter who takes the time to chat with us.

12/06/2026: We came for my birthday and had a lovely, peaceful time. The meal was excellent; we ate very well. We paid with ANCV Connect and it worked perfectly.

10/06/2026: Run by a very welcoming and friendly couple (and a good-natured dog :D), this place welcomes you to a charming garden not far from the canal. Ideal for a drink after a day of exploring. (Bike storage available overnight) The place is filled with little decorations featuring positive and cheerful quotes. The food is homemade and delicious (chef's terrine), with a vegetarian option (delicious vegetable lasagna). I recommend it.

24/05/2026: We needed last-minute accommodation, and this did the job. We also enjoyed the meal (thankfully, as there's nothing else nearby). However, the room was basic, and the welcome was impersonal. It was rather expensive for what it offered.

15/04/2026: Best pizzeria in the area. Extraordinary crust, thin and crispy. Pizzas with generous toppings and excellent flavor. I've been a customer for 3 years, and I'll continue to go more often. 😋🍕

28/04/2026: Passing through Carcassonne, we wanted to grab a bite to eat before visiting the citadel. We found Le Lotus d'Or on Google and were honestly not disappointed. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the owner was incredibly kind. We'll definitely be back.

08/04/2026: Excellent restaurant, great food made with fresh ingredients, calm atmosphere (Tuesday lunchtime), and plenty of comics to keep you entertained while you wait! Please note: they do not accept credit cards.

03/06/2026: I had fond memories, but that was before... before the owners changed. The crepes are bland, not very generously filled. In the end, for two of us, it cost €50, including a small pitcher of cider, a drink, and a dessert crepe. We left still hungry and, above all, very disappointed.

16/05/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance and immediately knew we were in for a treat. A cheerful and festive atmosphere at the bar while we waited for a table, simple yet generous cuisine, colorful characters, and a special shout-out to Eric, Mylène's cousin! 🤣 A genuine, unpretentious, and authentic spot where you feel right at home!

14/05/2026: The waiter who served us was friendly and professional; however, the food was completely bland. The mussels marinière seemed to have been prepared by a chef who had clearly forgotten the proper recipe. The fries were supposedly fresh, but we have our doubts. The chocolate fondant wasn't moist at all. The other two waiters were a bit too familiar. And finally, the restrooms are in dire need of renovation. We know quite a few restaurants in Gruissan, but this is the only one we would avoid at all costs!

11/10/2025: Thank you for the warm welcome and very quick service. The pizza was very good and generous. The tiramisu was too soft for my taste, but it was still a very good experience!

03/06/2026: What can I say, except that I was disappointed by the bare minimum offered for dinner and especially breakfast (for jam, they offer strawberry or apricot, a pat of butter, three small slices of bread, and a cup of coffee, and that's it... I won't add anything more; the value for money is poor). A hiker on the Cathar Trail...

16/04/2026: We were on foot and took advantage of the bar for a quick drink. The service and atmosphere were fine. However, in hindsight, I think it was quite expensive: 3 sparkling waters and a Pepsi for €16.

24/02/2026: Very good restaurant open for lunch on weekdays. Simple, fresh, and tasty buffet and main courses.

06/05/2026: Set menu at €17.90 chosen. The gizzard salad was just okay: firm tomatoes and barely lukewarm gizzards. The cassoulet was disappointing: rather tough meat and under-seasoned. For an establishment claiming to be the home of cassoulet, this is regrettable. The desserts, on the other hand, were excellent. Regarding the service, our comments were not well received: the most senior waiter didn't seem to accept criticism. When the bill arrived, his response, "With pleasure... oh no, maybe not then," left a rather unprofessional impression. Having visited the city for the second time, there are better restaurants for almost the same price.

05/05/2026: Excellent restaurant. Good value for money. Delicious cassoulet, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Very pleasant and smiling waiter. Absolutely top-notch, I recommend it 100%.

07/06/2026: We wanted to have a drink on the terrace, but the waiter walked past us ten times, took orders from neighboring tables that arrived after us, and came back to serve us without ever asking what we wanted. Pathetic service. Have a good season. What a lack of professionalism!

30/06/2026: The menu selection is very limited. Dish of the day is €19. No salad options. Prices are relatively high. Long wait for very few tables to serve! Disappointing.

11/05/2026: If I could give it lower I would. €10 for a hoegaarden is obscene and nothing about this place justified the frankly extortionate cost. That is double what it is everywhere else.
