06/09/2024: Nous avons pris le menu à 30€, rien à redire, repas très bon, service parfait..personnel sympa, déçu par le prix de l’apéro…un demi pêche à 5€10 +1€ pour la pêche ( qui ne s’est pas trop senti) et un petit verre de blanc moelleux à 6€50….un peu cher quand même….

01/09/2024: Le cadre est sympa, l'accueil est parfait, gentillesse et sourire du personnel. Par contre repas très médiocre. La qualité des plats n est pas là et la quantité dans les assiettes pourrait être revue à la hausse. Nous avons été déçu. 3 étoiles pour le personnel.

07/12/2025: An excellent experience at La Cantine du Saint Roch. The service is impeccable: attentive, friendly, and always willing to speak Spanish to make you feel right at home. The food is fantastic, with well-prepared and flavorful dishes. Without a doubt, a highly recommended place to eat in Carcassonne. Perfect for a return visit.

07/12/2025: We booked for dinner at 8 pm through Google Maps and it was really quick and easy. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious.

14/09/2024: I have dined several times in this restaurant and the pizzas chosen have all been excellent: fresh produce, thin crust and very good. The owners are welcoming and attentive; the setting is pleasant and the background music is present but discreet, which allows you to keep going without raising your voice. To recommend

09/07/2025: Good but slow service quickly overwhelmed

27/06/2025: Update: Years later, we went back and decided to get something to eat. It took about five minutes to get a table. There were plenty of seats available. The waitress obviously had other things on her agenda, and there weren't even 15 guests. Once we were seated, it took another ten minutes, during which the waitress (an Englishwoman) worked through everything else on her list in sequence, adding a course without service each time. She could have taken the other tables' orders or cleared the dishes before returning to the kitchen. But she didn't. This led to an ever-increasing delay in her processes and only made her more stressed. A vicious circle that revealed very little experience in the restaurant industry. Well, eventually we ordered and got our food. It was a bit more expensive than elsewhere at lunchtime, but it was really delicious. Luckily, you can pay at the counter in France, so we were spared a bit of a wait. -- Unfortunately if you just want a drink you get the cat table inside next to the toilet. That's really unfortunate and needs to change.

18/01/2026: A very friendly restaurant where you can enjoy Mediterranean dishes, even in winter. I will definitely return, but more for the quality of the service.

31/12/2025: Ah, how long ago it seems that this restaurant was truly worth the detour… Certainly, the setting remains magnificent with its breathtaking view of the Gruissan salt marshes, but alas, the flavor of the dishes seems to have evaporated. Let's start with the positive: the sea bream, cooked to perfection, was a real delight. The seafood platter, accompanied by its aioli sauce, was also excellent. Now for the less-than-savory part: the duck breast in a salt crust. Dry as a desert and as difficult to eat as shoe leather, our dogs, however, devoured it. At least someone was happy! As for the side dishes, the tricolor rice was very good, but the mashed potatoes with olives were sorely lacking in flavor. And the children's menu, with its oily pasta, didn't exactly contribute to our family's satisfaction. Back to the positives with the desserts: the ice cream was delicious, but our enthusiasm quickly waned when they forgot to serve us the dessert from the children's menu. A child without dessert is a bit like a clown without a red nose. The low point of our experience? The cashier, more engrossed in her voicemail messages than in our pain. Perhaps she was expecting culinary advice over the phone? In conclusion, this restaurant is no longer worth the trip.

11/01/2026: The waiter, a man in his fifties with glasses, greeted us at 3 pm with extreme rudeness. He sighed and sulked, giving us a very poor reception. We got up without ordering. It's unacceptable to have this kind of person in your establishment; they drive customers away.

08/11/2025: We were looking for a good cassoulet and found the perfect place. It's listed on the menu as "cassoulet à ma façon" and it's spectacular. Served in a cocotte, it has a subtle smokiness when uncovered and delicious meats—especially the duck confit. We paired it with a red wine recommended by the waiter, the ideal match. 🍷 Thank you for such a rich and authentic experience.
