14/06/2026: A very nice restaurant with very friendly staff who immediately offered a bowl of water for the dog. The meal was very good, the only downside was the fries which were rather bland… however, the meat was excellent and perfectly cooked. And the waiters who looked after us were fantastic!

06/06/2026: I'm posting this review because I was extremely disappointed with the burgers. The bun was as hard as a cracker, and the cheddar sauce was grainy, probably because it had been reheated several times. The steak was okay, and the fries weren't great. I'm really disappointed, and I'm not trying to be a gourmet; go somewhere else and save yourself some time.

05/06/2026: It was right next to our hotel and looked promising. The place is great, and the service is good. We ordered a couple of burgers (one of them XL). The meat is good quality, but the seasoning is very bland. The burger toppings in general are quite tasteless, and the cheddar drip is purely for show, adding no flavor. The worst part was the fries… a deep brown color (we thought they were sweet potato fries) and they tasted like they were reheated from the day before… we left them all.

28/06/2026: Please like and follow. ​Mixed experience inside the citadel. 🏰 We stopped at Le Marcou in the main square. The beers were cold, the service was courteous, and the cassoulet was absolutely excellent! The meat pasta was a large portion and tasty, but nothing special. ​Unfortunately, we found a slug in one of our salads. The server kindly replaced it with a good cheese plate. However, when the bill arrived, they had charged us for the uneaten salad anyway. They did refund us €20 after we pointed it out, but it felt like a sneaky habit of trying to overcharge tourists. ​Check your salad and definitely double-check your bill! . We stopped at Le Marcou on the main square. The beers were cold, the service courteous, and the cassoulet was excellent! The meat pasta (bolognese) was plentiful and good, but nothing more. 21/09/2025: Very bad experience. I had ordered two portions of lamb couscous to take away, announced at €24 per portion on the phone and displayed at the same price on the restaurant's blackboard. When it came to paying, the price had suddenly increased to €54 on the pretext that a lamb shank had been added. I explained to the manager that this was not justified since it was lamb couscous after all and that she should have announced it to us on the phone and not changed the price at the last minute when we came to collect the dish. She immediately became angry and told me that if I did not want to pay the price she had just announced, she would remove the shank from the dish. She then started to open the dish and try to remove the shank, which is totally inappropriate and unprofessional. In addition, the hygiene leaves something to be desired (linen and underwear lying in the middle of the restaurant). A shocking attitude that made me leave without my meal, very disappointed by this lack of respect and seriousness.

11/05/2026: A must-try restaurant in the magnificent city of Carcassonne! A warm welcome, a high chair quickly provided, and excellent value for money! Absolutely nothing to complain about... And the three-course set menu for €15.90 is very tempting! The generous cassoulet is excellent. There's also a children's menu with homemade fries and nuggets coated in pumpkin seeds... A good local beer, "La Ciutat," to go with it... Sunshine... Everything was perfect!

16/12/2025: A very friendly welcome, quick service, a relaxed atmosphere, and a subtle, unobtrusive electronic soundtrack. The adults appreciated the peaceful setting, which was great in the middle of August, and the children enjoyed playing pétanque without disturbing anyone in the back courtyard. In short, perfect.

24/05/2026: 11.30am. We sat down to have a coffee and were told that if We didn't have lunch We couldn't sit, despite half of the tables being empty and other tables with people having coffees...

22/05/2026: We loved the place on the canal; the service was outstanding, the food was excellent, and we even met the owner who offered us a digestif. A place with a great atmosphere, unpretentious.

05/11/2025: A very disappointing Marie Blachère experience! The waitress wasn't particularly friendly, and many items were unavailable compared to other Marie Blachère locations (perhaps due to the busy lunchtime service). The restaurant is exposed to strong winds, so you're likely to catch a cold while making your choice. My slice of Reine pizza was overcooked and burnt on the side, and asking for it to be reheated only made it even more crispy and burnt. A real shame. Eating in requires a certain level of refinement, as none of the tables were wiped down and used paper napkins were still lying around (even though customers are supposed to clear their own tables when they leave, others shouldn't have to eat next to someone else's trash). And to top it all off, the toilets were in a deplorable state, with urine stains on the floor – the flies were having a field day! If you dry your hands, you'll have the pleasure of seeing a disgusting wall covered in hair... after a meal, nothing makes you want to vomit like that, what with the smells and the sheer awfulness! Seriously, for a chain like Marie Blachère, invest in staff if there aren't enough employees to do everything! I won't be going back!

01/11/2025: Hello, I politely asked an employee to slice my two day-old wholemeal loaves, and she replied, "I already told you we don't slice day-old bread." I left the loaf and went with my baguette. What's the difference between slicing day-old bread and freshly baked bread? The person will recognize themselves; not very professional.
