16/08/2026: My friends and I had embarked on an odyssey in search of a kebab in Gruissan, and it wasn't an easy task. Then we stumbled upon Chez Mag, wondering if we'd found a bar, a kebab shop, or just someone's home. We, who were rather skeptical at first, were very, very pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and the friendly, delicious taste of what can only be described as a wonderful kebab.

07/08/2026: Very disappointed, the kebab was small and didn't even come with fries for 8 euros. We were still hungry after our meal. I do not recommend it.

20/07/2026: We went as a family to lunch at Le Petit Puit during our visit to the medieval city of Carcassonne. I was surprised to see such poor reviews for this restaurant, as our experience was quite different. The welcome was very warm, and we chose the set menu for €15.90. Frankly, at that price, in a touristy area like this, I don't see what more people could expect. For us, it was perfectly adequate. The starter (salad with terrine or goat cheese) was nicely presented, the chicken in cream sauce with fries was simple but good, and the floating island dessert was a pleasant way to end the meal. Unpretentious, home-style cooking, but satisfying for the price.

10/03/2026: ⚠️⚠️⚠️ILLEGAL ACTIVITY: ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Article L.3341-4 of the French Public Health Code requires establishments serving drinks for on-premises consumption that close between 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM to provide the public with one or more breathalyzers. THE WAITER PROUDLY ANSWERED MY REQUEST FOR A BREADHOLDER TEST THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY HERE, EVEN THOUGH I HAD TO DRIVE AFTERWARDS… THIS BAR SHOULD BE INSPECTED!!!!

14/04/2026: I do not recommend this place. The manager rushed us to order because he claimed it would be busy for Valentine's Day, but there were only two or three people when I arrived, then two more. We're in Castel, not Marseille or Paris, sir! I've been to many restaurants and I've never heard anything like it in my life. You have to hurry to order because there will be customers! He was incredibly rude. I came with my daughters and I won't be back. The food is really mediocre, the portions are small, and we found a thin stem in the stiff rice that my daughter could have swallowed. I don't recommend it for the service either! The New Sushi restaurant, which is Thai, is much more commercial, good, clean, and welcoming. 💁‍♂️ This place is absolutely terrible.

10/04/2026: The food reminds me of my childhood: I love it. The welcome was warm. The timing was perfect. I've been recommending it to my friends who appreciate both the food and the atmosphere. It deserves to be better known. Go there, the quality and price are unbeatable.

19/07/2026: Avoid this: When you pay €19.50 for a salad, there's a way to speak to your customers. The blonde manager should take a good look at herself, because at McDonald's they know how to respect their customers (she'll understand).

13/07/2026: Extremely disappointed. The feta, cucumber, olive, and tomato salad contained only lettuce and feta... and cost €17 less. When I pointed out the missing ingredients, I received no apologies, only complaints.

19/10/2025: Visit in October 2025, Sunday lunchtime Unlike our previous meal a year earlier, this experience was a complete disaster! We arrived around 1 p.m. It was fairly busy, but not crowded; some tables were empty. We left at 3:30 p.m., having only eaten one course. The dishes were brought out sporadically, with more than half an hour between the first and last person (there were seven of us, not a very large group). We only received one carafe of water for the entire meal; we had to ask several times for bread and napkins. The dishes were decent, but almost cold; the kitchen staff must have been rushing, so the servers were inadequate. My seafood platter didn't have toothpicks for the whelks or finger bowls, but oh well, no big deal. One person had a set menu with dessert included, and even though it was a long wait, we were planning to have dessert too. They offered him an apple or a yogurt! I've never seen anything like it... We didn't order coffee or dessert, we just went to pay for our meals. At the register, the person apologized again for the last course arriving very late, but there was no gesture of goodwill, no discount, not even a free coffee... First review from October 2024: Good meal, friendly and smiling staff, fast service. The duck breast was cooked perfectly. Generous and well-presented salads. Terrace overlooking the sea. The tiramisu was a bit small; for €8, we expected better.

15/10/2025: Small, unpretentious beach bar/restaurant. Terrace facing the sea. Nice for a short break after a walk.

01/03/2026: Very noisy place. Not recommended: linguine con polpete – too much sauce for not enough pasta, and the meatball was bland.

23/05/2026: For the restaurant, avoid this place. A children's menu with the cheapest ham replaced by defrosted nuggets and frozen fries. A goat cheese salad with four tiny slices of the cheapest goat cheese, the salad swimming in tasteless tomato sauce. Chicken Provençal: dry, overcooked chicken. A galette with a tasteless sausage, probably from a factory. Dry bread from a basket. In short, 70 euros for four people, expensive and not good. Only the location is nice. It's a shame we have to give it one star. It's not that difficult to use real potatoes, real ham, and offer a little bit of good food and a minimum of pleasure to our taste buds. A disappointment, a serious reassessment is needed in the kitchen.

22/05/2026: We had a very good meal, a set menu with a salad and the duck confit, it was great! The waiters were very kind and helpful!

15/08/2026: The food was average for the high prices. The service wasn't very good, and the music was too loud and inappropriate for a restaurant (with Spotify ads).

15/08/2026: We ordered beef, it was rubbery and hard to chew, foie gras was good, mussels were tasty, but a bit salty

26/07/2026: Absolutely avoid! A very disappointing experience from start to finish. The food: We ordered two portions of mussels, and half the shells were empty. The service: The staff has a severe lack of customer service skills, if any at all. You constantly have to ask for everything; for example, there were no napkins on the table and we had to request them. The value for money: Totally unjustified. Paying that price to end up with half-empty dishes and such a low level of service is unacceptable. The price is clearly not worth the experience offered. In short, it was a completely disappointing experience. I would even say it's an establishment to avoid.

20/01/2026: Truly low-end. Only one server out of five speaks French; the others understand nothing. Extremely poor quality.

07/10/2025: The Highlights Good reception The staff is attentive, prompt, and friendly, which can contribute to a pleasant stay. Value for money: Some guests generally rate the value for money as good and are satisfied with the menus offered. Satisfaction with simple dishes: Dishes like the Caesar salad and the burgers in particular are praised by some as "very good" and "nothing to complain about." L'Oasis in Narbonne-Plage is a solid place for a casual break, especially because of its unbeatable views and relaxed atmosphere. If you're looking for a relaxed spot for a drink, a crêpe, or ice cream with a great sea view, L'Oasis is a great choice.

26/10/2025: Avoid at all costs!!!! Catastrophic service, portions far too small! Over 45 minutes just for the appetizers! Rubbery mussels, definitely frozen...

28/08/2025: No comment on the food since we weren't served! We sat on the terrace and then had to wait 20 minutes for the menus! I went inside to ask for them, thinking I could help, but I was treated very rudely and we never received them, even though she said she would bring them to us. It was 9:15 pm, there were only three tables, and I think she simply didn't want to work any harder, since there were seven of us plus a baby. Luckily, we received better service at the ice cream parlors next door.

10/06/2026: One star only because I can't give ZERO! I went into the shop, leaving my four-and-a-half-month-old son in his stroller with my mother-in-law in front of the window. It's a very nice shop, and I was interested in the macarons (which, by the way, weren't priced). As I approached the saleswoman to ask for macarons, she said, word for word, "What's she doing in front of the window with her kid?!" Stunned, I decided to leave to avoid making a scene. Please know, Madam, that the kid was my son, and given your lack of courtesy, you'll never get a penny from me. I sincerely hope you're not the manager and that someone will put you in your place. If you are the manager, then perhaps it's time to consider a completely different career path. (Why not cultivate lavender fields? It's relaxing.) A truly terrible experience. Never again.

15/03/2026: Awful experience. Chased out of the shop by the saleswomen and accused of not saying hello after cheerfully greeting her on entry. Avoid.
