07/09/2026: If you don't want to miss out on dessert, remember to order it at the beginning of your meal! I was already familiar with this establishment, which I greatly enjoyed, and whose cuisine remains, in fact, excellent. It is therefore with regret that I think I won't be returning. When we ordered, the waiter—who may also be the owner—asked us if we wanted dessert. We simply replied that we preferred to wait until the end of the meal to see if we would still be hungry. At no point was it mentioned to us that if we didn't order our dessert at the beginning of the meal, it would no longer be possible to get it later. It's true that this information was indicated on the menu, but we hadn't noticed it. Given that the dishes were very good, but served in relatively small portions, we ultimately decided to finish our meal with a little something sweet. Imagine our surprise when we were told it was too late and that ordering dessert was absolutely impossible. We simply pointed out that this rule seemed rather odd and that we weren't used to this way of doing things. The response was, "It's written on the menu," in a tone that unfortunately made us quite uncomfortable. It's a shame, because we had a very good meal and the dishes were truly excellent. But this rigidity, combined with the way the situation was handled, somewhat spoiled the end of the meal. So we left disappointed, and despite the quality of the food, I unfortunately don't think I'll be returning to this establishment. It's a real pity.

25/08/2026: We regularly visit le Cottage on our travels in France. It is a top restaurant, the service is precise and the staff very knowledgeable about each dish. The menus are very well crafted with excellent textures and flavours. Unusually I went vegetarian this time. The ripe tomatoes deserved to star in the starter whilst the Moroccan tagine of egg plant, nuts, fruit and veg was one of the best. The cheesecake rounded off a delightful meal. Why hasn’t Doug and his team been recognised by Michelin? They deserve it.

11/07/2026: What a pleasure it is to return to Restaurant L’Ecume every year! We never tire of this refined cuisine, where every ingredient is perfectly prepared! The restaurant offers a 3-course market menu for €28, unbeatable for such high-quality food. Moreover, the welcome is always perfect, and the staff will always go out of their way to pamper you 🤩 I highly recommend it if you're passing through St-Trojan, and it's even worth a detour if you're simply on the island ☺️

15/08/2026: We came as a group of four after booking a table for our last day of vacation on the Île d'Oléron. The menu was simple but had something to please everyone. The dishes were very generous and high quality, and the young waitress served us very well. We started with a platter as an appetizer, followed by two excellent and generously topped burgers, a Burrata salad with delicious ingredients, chicken tinder, and a cordon bleu. We had a truly wonderful meal, especially considering it was our first time dining at your restaurant. We'll definitely be back for our next vacation and highly recommend this great place.

They're prepared in advance, pre-cooked, and cooked. Some places them raw for speed, but Mr. Titi prefers to prioritize taste and good food. You'll find the flavors of the Charente region and the expertise of the two pizza chefs. Thank you for your photos, which aren't AI-retouched; it proves a respected and respectable authenticity. 14/08/2026: We stumbled upon the truck by chance. It's best to order the pizzas in advance to ensure they're piping hot. However, we were able to buy some pizzas that were freshly made upon arrival. This allowed those unfamiliar with pizza, like us, to try them. They were cold and a bit pricey, but... they were delicious and generously topped! :D

18/07/2026: I absolutely loved it, and so did my husband! The mussels were amazing, the homemade fries were fantastic 👍, and the all-you-can-eat option was great. The staff were really friendly and smiling, very welcoming. The young waitress with the long eyelashes took excellent care of us. I highly recommend her!
