11/12/2025: The warm welcome and genuine friendliness (they really wanted to please the customer) charmed us. You can feel the generosity in the service... The lunch menu was perfect, with a generous portion and homemade fries... The homemade floating islands were delicious and original, not to mention the enormous glass of excellent punch. 09/12/2025: Positive point: The food is quite good, but the price is rather high. You can easily find just as good or better elsewhere for less. Negative points: - When we (a couple) entered the restaurant, the owner immediately asked us where we were from. Looking at the reviews, one mentions that walk-in customers are treated worse than regulars, and I think there's some truth to that, having observed how the regular customers were treated. - French regulations are not being followed in several ways. There are no menus displayed outside, only a chalkboard inside. There's no drinks menu displayed either outside or inside. We were offered an aperitif and wine verbally without being shown the menu or given the prices. - The menu board inside offered mussels and fries (in season), which is what we wanted, but no mussels. Yet, mussel season on Oléron is from July to December; so we chose monkfish because we're not fans of burgers or fish and chips, but it was €9 more per dish than the mussels. - The bill of €110.70 for two people doesn't match the prices listed on the website, with a difference of €5, but since we weren't given a receipt or invoice, it was impossible to verify. You might ask: Why didn't you complain? Because for me, a restaurant is a place for socializing and relaxing, and I'm not going to waste my time complaining. It's up to the staff or owner to make suggestions to satisfy the customers, and that clearly wasn't the case here. A shame.

I regret not being able to finish my plate, it was so generous and hearty; it captured all the flavors of India. It's an incredible experience! The restaurant is well-maintained and clean, and the setting is very pleasant. I can't give it six stars, but frankly, the five I gave are more than deserved. Well done and thank you.

24/11/2025: This restaurant is definitely worth a visit! The decor is stylish, the food is delicious and very generous, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is attentive. All this at a very reasonable price. Places like this are rare; it's a shame we don't live in the area because we would have gone back regularly.

17/12/2024: Very disappointed. I attended Les Flots for a few years. Last night, a decent welcome, nothing more, bad atmosphere between the staff, unsmiling or even unpleasant servers. An ultra fast and not adjusted service: no request for an aperitif, no bread, no attention to the wine: we had to ask for all of that. A waiter who transfers the bottom of a bottle into another in full service, in full view of the customers. Payment to a server without attention or correction: not a word. Not a goodbye. Fortunately the cuisine is good without being up to what we experienced. Disappointment and no desire to come back.

16/12/2024: Salle chaleureuse et excellent accueil. Service sérieux et bien rythmé. Les mets nous ont ont procuré de l'étonnement et satisfaction à la dégustation. Notamment le tartare de Salers et Huîtres. Plus réservé sur le Rocher en dessert, rien de très original au plan de l'aspect et de la composition. Bon tout de même, mais sans plus !

16/09/2024: Very nice and nicely decorated creperie. We were able to have lunch despite the late hour and a very full room. Our 2 savory crepes, a real delight, made with very good ingredients will leave us with pleasant memories of our stay in St Denis d'Oléron. Place not to be missed and we recommend it 100%.

17/09/2024: Petit resto hyper chaleureux, cosy et un personnel très très attentionné. Carte très sympa avec des classiques ( cagouilles) mais aussi des créations (tartare d’algue par exemple) le patron est un vrai passionné ,un bonheur d’échanger avec lui. Je ne suis pas allé dans un restaurant de ce genre depuis quelques décennies. Je recommande fortement.
