09/05/2026: Highly recommended restaurant. Excellent food, welcome, and service. The €30 set menu was very good value for money. The foie gras was superb, and the sea bass with its delicious garnish was a real treat. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were always smiling and friendly. A wonderful discovery to share, and best of all, it's right across from the beach. PERFECT, THANK YOU!
06/05/2026: Excellent! The seared tuna was superb, and the side dish was very tasty. I had a chocolate fondant for dessert, and I thoroughly enjoyed that too!
We'll definitely be back to this lovely little restaurant 👍

06/05/2026: A fantastic find! The service was incredibly friendly and fast, the food was delicious (best crème brûlée ever 😍), and the setting was lovely. We loved it!

However, the location was very quiet and pleasant. More affordable food options would be a plus.
16/05/2026: This is a place we regularly stop on our holiday route near Saintes. We particularly love the peaceful terrace bordering the lovely park with its beautiful trees and pond, home to a few ducks, a swan (her name is Mathilde), and even a heron. We also appreciate the service, which is always professional and friendly. And we love the location, less than 5 minutes from the motorway exit.

The place is simple and friendly, the kind of place we'd love to find instead of fast food... We wish them a great season; they deserve it, and this place is well worth the detour.

15/05/2026: It took 2.5 hours to get a meal during the Ascension Day long weekend. The owner came to "apologize" in a very unpleasant manner. He insisted on offering the meals free of charge, but it took 30 minutes to take our order, 2 hours to get our food, and then we were brushed off.
The food itself was good, though. What a shame...
15/05/2026: During the Ascension Day long weekend, the restaurant was packed (two very large tables inside), yet the service was impeccable. The waitresses and the owner were all smiles and attentive. The whole team went the extra mile.
The dishes were perfect: oysters, whelks, octopus, mussels—everything was delicious. Good value for money overall. We highly recommend it!

06/05/2026: We've lived in Saint-Palais for over 30 years, so we know Le Dransard well. Imagine our surprise last night when we went there with the family! We ordered wine, a beer, and… a large sharing platter (charcuterie and cheese). Just last year, we paid €14 or €15 for it! Last night, it was €24! 😡 Poor quality, and a ridiculously small amount.
In short, wine and beer… €65… it's outrageous!
Mr. Owner, please remember that the whole year isn't just about tourism.

11/05/2026: We were just passing through and what a lovely discovery! A simple, unpretentious restaurant with homemade food. Very generous portions; kudos to Catherine who runs the place single-handedly.
19/03/2026: We arrived by chance, a little late, at this unassuming roadside spot, but were immediately warmly welcomed by the owner.
The set menu is truly generous. Real, good home-style cooking at a very reasonable price.
