24/05/2026: Passing through La Rochelle, we had a quick lunch break with the girls. The Caesar salad with chicken was... well, nothing. The tables were dirty, and we asked them to be cleaned; otherwise, it wouldn't have occurred to the waitress. We asked for bread, but they were out. Instead of asking at the restaurant next door or going to the bakery 100 meters away, she just sat down (it was a bit late lunchtime, so there weren't many people). She was very friendly and smiling, but the waitress took absolutely no initiative. As for the restrooms, avoid them at all costs! Broken floor, no soap. I went in and left immediately because it was so disgusting! It's a real shame because the place has enormous potential!

18/05/2026: The quality was there, but the quantity wasn't quite right… I had fish and chips, which was very good, but there weren't enough fries; there were just small pieces. It looked like leftover fries… The waitresses were very friendly. So far, so good. Except that when we got to dessert, my friend and I noticed a strange taste in the tiramisu… We asked the waitress if it contained alcohol, and she said no. However, I'm convinced it did (Amaretto). Either I'm mistaken, in which case I'm sorry and sorry for this review. Otherwise, it's entirely due to your dishonesty.

27/05/2026: If you want a great meal, this is the place to stop! I've been under construction in the area for about two months, and I eat here every lunchtime. Never a single mistake in the kitchen! Meat and omelets are always cooked perfectly. The pizzas are generous and delicious. I especially love the fish and chips and the Saint-Marcellin fondue. The service is always excellent, with a smile and friendly service! They're always responsive and attentive to their customers. Thank you so much, please don't change a thing! Luckily, I'm still under construction in the area for a little while longer.

25/05/2026: I never miss the pleasure of stopping for a coffee when I go shopping because it's a friendly place and I always enjoy going back; the owner and staff are lovely people.

19/04/2026: Excellent restaurant overlooking the sea. Original dishes made with local produce. Very efficient service and friendly staff. Friendly atmosphere.

25/05/2026: The waitress was unpleasant, throwing plates on the table, putting mustard on the table, the food was of poor quality, and it took 2.5 hours to eat – in short, a fiasco! Definitely avoid this place.

25/05/2026: Excellent value for money, generous and delicious portions, top-notch staff (a rarity these days), very good desserts, and the rum baba (the authentic recipe) was superb! Bravo!

25/05/2026: This review applies to the restaurant only. The service was unfriendly, and the quality was very questionable. Be prepared to wait, especially at the start of peak season, as we waited almost half an hour for a carafe of water (in 34-degree heat, that's really pushing it) and a burger that wasn't cooked properly. Our food was lukewarm, and judging by the burger bun and the frozen fries, which were as hard as a rock, you have to wonder if the plates hadn't cooled down somewhere before reaching our table... I want to emphasize the desperately long wait; our neighbors had to help themselves to salt from another table that hadn't been cleared yet. We even shared our sauces with them because they were forgotten. The only good point is that the portions weren't too large or too small, but overall it's really very average, and the numerous Routard awards it has received in the past don't guarantee the current quality.

05/05/2026: The casino itself is nice, but they could really use some smiles and energy from the staff. You can bet 1000 euros and they don't even offer you a coffee. Plus, it's freezing. Anyway... typical French casino food.

25/04/2026: Shameful! I'm a loyal customer of both the restaurant and the casino, but frankly, this is outrageous. We never win anything, not even at any game, or if we do, it's only 3.45. We didn't even have time to enjoy ourselves. Avoid this place! It's scandalous!

16/04/2026: No extra blankets, and the weekend was cold, so we were cold at night.

03/04/2026: The hotel offers a clean room with a standard bed and a sink. The shared showers and toilets in the hallway are functional, although the flooring is mediocre. However, the soundproofing is poor: you can hear the neighbors until late at night (midnight) and again early in the morning (from 6 a.m.). Adequate for the price, but difficult to get a good night's sleep.

26/05/2026: We sat there to grab a drink and a desert. As soon as we sat the girl approched us, since the menue was not yet loaded we asked the waiters to give us couples of min, she gave us a FACE and came after 3 min; we asked for a desert and a beer. She told us for the desert we have to go to the next place! Then why do you have it in the menu, if you don't serve it !! I asked to give me a minute to think of something esle! She became irritated and give a me a very rude look and a rolled eyes! If I asked for something on your menu and you said you cant get me, don't be surprised if I need time to think what else your highness can provide!!! VERY RUDE WOMAN. I SUGGEST THE WOMAN WORK IN ANOTHER SECTOR and NOT HOSPITALLITY! SHE IS NOT BIULD FOR HOSPITALITY, SHE IS very RUDE. Its a shame for such a lovely terrace.

30/05/2026: We left this restaurant completely satisfied until tomorrow... 🤣... A very warm welcome, excellent staff... A beautiful setting overlooking the sea and... very peaceful. Everything is high quality and fresh. I had delicious mussels à la paysanne, and my husband enjoyed a very generous seafood platter. Despite what the picky and complaining people might say... we will definitely return. Reasonable prices.

19/04/2026: Honestly, getting in for €16 with a drink wasn't worth it. It was our first time there for a weekend, and the music was awful. There were already bad reviews about this nightclub; we would have been better off going elsewhere.

26/01/2025: Go elsewhere, there are many other bars in Saintes. The waiters are rude, don't want to serve you and let you know it. The cuisine, once again better elsewhere for less money and a warmer atmosphere. Go on your way.

14/08/2025: Uh, how can I put this... €10 for a 50cl beer, a Diabolo for the same price as a soft drink... Server (probably the owner) not very clean, elbow and t-shirt covered in blood. Very dirty place, completely out of place next to a 5-star hotel. I don't recommend it.
