17/07/2026: Royan's go-to spot, for both business and pleasure! ⚜️ I go there very often, but this is the first time I'm leaving a review (better late than never!)... I've been coming even more regularly for almost two years now, and for good reason: - it truly lives up to its name. Centrally located near Grande Conche beach, the spot offers a magnificent view with palm trees, sand, the sea, and the beautiful Charente-Maritime sunshine ☀️🌴🌊. It's a popular and lively place, always bustling with people. On the ground floor, the terrace offers lovely tables and very comfortable armchairs. You're always greeted with a smile and genuine kindness. We have NEVER had a single bad experience, whether for breakfast (coffee and croissants ☕️🥐), lunch, dinner, or simply for an aperitif at the end of the day. A crucial point to emphasize: - The facilities are always extremely clean, the hygiene is impeccable, and we have complete confidence from beginning to end! ✨ A huge plus for the professional aspect: - As part of our Real Estate Business Club, they reserve a fantastic upstairs space for us, complete with a terrace for sunny days. Even though the establishment is quite lively, the confidentiality of our meetings is fully preserved. It's also the ideal place where we like to host our end-of-year celebrations with our partners and colleagues. I highly recommend Le Point Central, both for professional events and group bookings, as well as for a relaxing time as a customer. A huge thank you to the whole team, and one thing is for sure: => I will keep coming!

17/07/2026: I'm surprised to see such a low rating. We were very warmly welcomed, we had an excellent plate of fried fish, mussels, and seafood salad—everything was delicious. No complaints whatsoever; I highly recommend it.

11/06/2026: Terrible service - We stopped off for a couple of drinks after cycling along the river - I ordered at the bar , we waited outside for nearly half an hour (the bar had customers, but wasn't busy) I went back in to check on our beers, thinking maybe they were waiting at the bar , but the server was at a table talking to friends - we just left 🤷

06/05/2026: Disgusted as she left, one of the employees was smoking a cigarette on the sidewalk with his black latex gloves on and immediately went back to handling the food.

03/05/2026: We had a very good meal. Lots of choices. The service was quite fast and the staff friendly. The only slight downside was the cleanliness of the tables, which was somewhat lacking. The tacos were generous, the sauces were good, and the fries were too. The chicken burger was also good.

A genuine and pleasant welcome, fresh and delicious cuisine, a blend of traditional recipes and a modern approach, original organic wines – in short, an address where you can spend an excellent moment relaxing and sharing!

28/10/2025: A very disappointing experience on a human level. I'm not questioning the quality of the coffee, but the attitude of the staff, particularly one woman present, was simply unacceptable. She started raising her voice and speaking very rudely because my dog ​​had simply sniffed a flowerpot on the terrace—without barking, making a mess, or disturbing anyone in any way. What's most incomprehensible is that there were no other customers present at the time. Nothing justified such a reaction. A simple word spoken calmly, with a modicum of politeness, would have been more than enough: we would have understood without any problem. Instead, the woman flew into a rage, forgetting all forms of respect and courtesy. It's a shame, because a business is also judged on the quality of its service and the human touch it demonstrates.

28/07/2026: Very thick and dense pizza! Nothing amazing at that price, avoid it, don't go there

03/04/2026: I called them at 9:15 PM on a Friday night to order two pizzas. They refused my order, saying they closed at 9:20 PM, even though their website states 9:30 PM as their closing time. Frankly, it's not like it takes an hour to make two half-frozen pizzas. They simply didn't want to finish five minutes late. Not very professional of them.

19/07/2026: Just passing through Friday at lunchtime. What a mess… a 20-minute wait at the drive-thru. And it was 11:45 am. There was no one in front of me. Then I went over, checked, and luckily there were no toys in the Happy Meals. We were told there were no more toys… imagine the children's disappointment… and to top it all off, my children told me the Coke was awful because it wasn't fizzy… I immediately called McDonald's to let them know, but the employee clearly didn't care… and we couldn't exchange the drinks because we were already on the highway. A very bad experience

11/07/2026: I went to the drive-thru, and they forgot my McDonald's sandwich. I called, and since I wasn't far away, I came back to get it. Once I got home, I realized that a Chinese sauce was missing, and the Oasis drink I ordered had turned into iced tea—too bad for me, I don't like that.

16/07/2026: A very good place to eat; we came as a group of 10. The dishes and desserts are homemade and very good! A place to relax in the shade after a lovely walk on the island.

15/07/2026: Great place! The mussels cooked over a brazier were magnificent, a real treat. The waiters and waitresses were super friendly. I'll be back next year! 👍👍👍👍

03/07/2026: Error in the cocktail order, mussels and fries served with the cocktails, not many people, very long wait for dessert, unfriendly staff. I'll be lenient, it's the start of the season, but personally I won't be going back. Going into a business and feeling like you're bothering them... Not great. And to top it all off, when we asked for the menu for dessert, the owner (I think) replied, "Well, it's written on the placemats, it's obvious..." That's what I call customer service! And out of the four desserts, only three were served... A 10-minute wait for the fourth (not great for ice cream). For our part, we remained polite throughout. Their advantage is their prime location, but beware, there are other restaurants like this...

22/05/2026: Absolutely avoid this place if you have a dog! Even a 3kg one. In the sweltering heat, the owner and her cronies refuse to provide a bowl for a dog! The bowl provided is dirty, drooling, sitting in direct sunlight, and empty... I'm not thanking you for the welcome, where the regulars at the bar insult you for good measure... A rinsed bowl for a dog that won't drink from the drooling, smelly bowl provided for all dogs is too much to ask for a local, regular customer. I had lunch there yesterday and I go about ten times a year because I live nearby. I'm not going to congratulate you on your customer loyalty efforts... asking for an extra drink isn't hygienic, according to them, even though all the glassware/dishes should go in the dishwasher (according to the Regional Health Authority), using a product that is, to say the least, "toxic."

17/05/2026: The guy thought we were going to leave without paying, he jumped on us for our money, while the bakery next door called Les Petits Choux is super welcoming. I really don't recommend this restaurant.
