We started with a seafood platter as an appetizer, paired with a Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil rosé, followed by a fish stew on a bed of mashed potatoes (tuna, sea bass fillet, and mussels), and for dessert, a fig tiramisu. Coffee. All for 76 euros for two. Honestly, excellent value for money. Kudos to the staff at this establishment.

From the moment we arrived, the magic was palpable: a gentle waitress had thought of us even before we got there, sensing how comfortable we would both be in this enchanting setting, our table set facing the harbor in the breathtaking late afternoon light. This is true luxury. The appetizers set the tone: flavorful baby squid with chorizo, delicate fried smelts enhanced by an absolutely divine homemade béarnaise sauce. Freshness and deliciousness from the very first bite. And then came the main course, and wow, it was a revelation. A duo of locally caught fish that literally melted in the mouth, accompanied by ratatouille, homemade mashed potatoes and sweet potato purée, crispy onions, and a perfectly balanced lemon sauce. Every texture, every flavor interacted with the others without ever overpowering the rest. It was a thoughtful, expertly crafted, and truly inspired dish. The dessert sealed the deal: a sumptuous French toast, topped with homemade crème anglaise and caramel. A pure moment of indulgence. Mornac-sur-Seudre is a village of artists, painters, potters... But tonight, we discovered that the most moving art was found on a plate. Behind these dishes, a chef and her kitchen partner meticulously craft each flavor combination with rare precision, and in the dining room, a truly delicate touch. 24/08/2026: Nothing to say, it's a perfectly normal McDonald's. However, if you're not familiar with it, pay close attention so you don't miss the parking lot entrance, and if there's no space and you have to park elsewhere, that's complicated too.

16/08/2026: Pitt stop for a quick refreshment. Its a busy place and our server was busy but very efficient dealing with many orders all at once. Nice spot to people watch with locals.

24/08/2026: We went into this restaurant for a beer and a quick bite. We ordered a club sandwich, but unfortunately, the quality of the food was very disappointing. I couldn't finish my sandwich because the bread was soggy and completely soggy from the lettuce. The filling—chicken, tomatoes, and cheese—was very meager, with truly small portions. In terms of quality and presentation, it was more like an average fast-food meal than what you'd expect from a restaurant. The fries were also disappointing: overcooked, dry, and tasteless. On the other hand, the waitress was welcoming and friendly, and we have no complaints about the service. Unfortunately, pleasant service isn't enough to compensate for such poor food. Based on our experience, I don't recommend this restaurant.

20/08/2026: We were just passing through and tried their delicious pizzas. The crust was crispy, the toppings were scrumptious. The service was quick. The gentleman who runs the restaurant is lovely. We devoured them. I highly recommend it!

26/07/2026: We stopped for a quick drink, and we were met by a visibly disgruntled waiter who seemed to be wasting his time serving us. No hello, no goodbye... However, the bill was immediately placed on the table. We had read excellent reviews and were planning to return for a meal. But given the reception, that won't be happening. Keep this up if your goal is to drive customers away; you're well on your way.

30/06/2026: Nice little restaurant with an ocean view, decent food, the flank steak was excellent and tender. The scallop tartare with its small scoop of lemon-basil ice cream was a truly surprising and delightful experience. Friendly staff.

03/04/2026: I called them at 9:15 PM on a Friday night to order two pizzas. They refused my order, saying they closed at 9:20 PM, even though their website states 9:30 PM as their closing time. Frankly, it's not like it takes an hour to make two half-frozen pizzas. They simply didn't want to finish five minutes late. Not very professional of them.

04/09/2026: Passing through La Rochelle, we didn't know this restaurant. Originally planning a stop for drinks, we decided to stay for lunch. A homemade menu, fresh seafood, and very affordable prices—we had a wonderful time on the terrace. A special mention for Flo, the incredibly kind waiter! Thank you for your hospitality!
