20/06/2026: The food was unfortunately not very good. The tarte flambée was completely burnt, and the service was abysmal. We had to wait 15 minutes just for a server to bring us the menu, and then another 30 minutes before they even took our order. That was our first and last time there.

01/07/2026: A fantastic vegan café that offers delicious cakes (the lemon poppy seed cake is divine), great drinks like cappuccino, and tasty sandwiches. The interior is warm and inviting, and the service is very friendly!

13/07/2026: This is a must-try if you're looking for traditional Alsacian food at a traditional Strasbourg restaurant. Don't waste your time with tourist traps near the cathedral; go here instead! The food is absolutely amazing, the wait staff are helpful, and we were able to sit outside to enjoy the evening air. There's even two macaron shops right across the street!

12/06/2026: We spent a weekend there as a couple. What a shame! There was no kettle or coffee maker in the room... No slippers for the spa or tea corner. We didn't like being seated next to other people in the restaurant, even though there are several dining rooms... it lacked a cozy atmosphere. The meal wasn't exceptional, even though there were four courses for the price we paid. Outside, there was no space by the pool; all the lounge chairs were occupied by towels, but no one was sitting there! To top it all off, we were charged for drinks we didn't order... What a shame for such a beautiful establishment! We don't recommend this hotel...

10/06/2026: What a place to turn 40. 🎂 We spent three nights at Hostellerie des Châteaux on half-board for my birthday and left genuinely happy. The location on the Alsace Wine Route, at the foot of the Vosges, is beautiful, and the property's 2,500m² spa with its pools and saunas gives you plenty of reasons not to leave. The restaurant is the star. ⭐ Each dinner opened with an amuse-bouche, the courses built with real intention, and on our final evening the kitchen surprised us with an unprompted foie gras pâté and a full cheese course. The sommelier deserves his own mention: deep knowledge of Alsace wines, recommendations tailored to our table across all three evenings, and the single biggest reason the dinners will stay with us. 🍷 Breakfast matched the standard: a fresh juicing station, egg station, proper pastries and well-chosen local cheeses. The half-board is worth it. We also slept very well. Some honest improvement notes for this lovely family-run property to take it to 5 stars: - the rooms haven't kept pace with the public areas and the website imagery (and the artificial grass roof, not really nice to look at from the window.. why? 😄) - the pool was way too crowded and the website image shows much less recliner seats when the area was rather cramped at times especially on the weekend. - tea/coffee facilities and individual toiletries in the rooms would lift the experience (they only have a body wash in the shower - an opportunity to improve) - menus in English/German and dietary alternatives (vegetarians etc) would serve the international guests better - the pool bar closing at 18:00 on a warm summer evening, feels way too early but I saw the staff had to rush to the lobby bar (perhaps hire more?) - strength training options would complete the gym which currently has cardio only. - tvs didn’t have any working English channels and the ability to cast to the TV wasn’t properly advertised, perhaps add a proper TV smart guide? None of this took away from a wonderful stay and a birthday to remember. Thank you to the whole team, and especially the restaurant and bar team. 26/06/2026: We ordered a chocolate muffin for dessert, which turned out to be dry and hard: I couldn't even finish it because it was definitely not fresh (more than two days old...). The service was a bit slow for the salad/open-faced sandwich and the filled croissant. The filled croissant was very good. But I was left with a bad impression because of this dessert, which spoiled my overall experience.

26/06/2026: We returned to this farm inn for Father's Day, after a family hike. What a pleasure it was to rediscover this place 11 years after our first visit! Despite the restaurant being full that day, the service was exemplary: a smiling, dynamic, and very friendly team who knew how to handle the crowds professionally. As for the food, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The menus (game, duck, Alsatian dishes) are generous, delicious, and offered at very reasonable prices. A must-visit in the area that we highly recommend.

04/06/2026: Local, regional dishes at fair prices. Generous portions; we had wild boar and a set menu with cheese and sampler cheese. The service was very friendly, with parking on site and a resident dog on the terrace. An ideal stopover for day trips. Highly recommended, would gladly return.

13/07/2026: A great place, very friendly, a very cool owner, and excellent food. Passing through, I followed the reviews, and it's true that the carpaccio is excellent; judging by the other diners, the pizzas were too. Corsican beer, Pietra and Colomba Blanche, excellent! A very good pear for a digestif. So, in conclusion, I highly recommend this friendly restaurant.

12/07/2026: A friendly and welcoming place with a large terrace and the option to open the roof inside the restaurant. It has a lot of character, with exposed beams (a real gem!), and is a former winemaker's house. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and helpful. The tarte flambée and pizzas are delicious. There are other menu options as well. The desserts were a real treat. Highly recommended.

18/05/2026: A warm welcome, generous and delicious dishes – we had a very pleasant time.

15/05/2026: We were at Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, and since the restaurant at the castle didn't accept card payments, we went to this restaurant based on a recommendation. My girlfriend immediately tried her first tarte flambée and was very impressed. The roast pork with crackling, as well as the desserts crème brûlée and fondant au chocolat, were also très bien. We didn't speak any French beyond what Google Translate could provide, and she didn't speak any German, but with a bit of gesturing and a little English, it was a very pleasant restaurant visit. We highly recommend it, even if it looks closed from the outside—just walk in.

10/07/2026: A lovely setting in the heart of the forest; we were seated on the terrace. There's an outdoor tarte flambée oven. The waitress was very pleasant. The tarte flambée was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the seared tuna and the beef tataki – a real treat! For dessert, the profiterole was amazing! We highly recommend this restaurant; we'll be back soon! 👍🏻😜

19/05/2026: Nice little restaurant, we chose the asparagus, ham, mayo, and vinaigrette option (medium size)! We booked by phone for an asparagus tasting evening, and the asparagus was excellent and melted in your mouth 😋 The mayo was a little too salty, but everything was fresh and from a local producer 💪 The service was quick, professional, and friendly. The price was reasonable for the asparagus option 😀 We'll be back for another tasting evening 😉

29/03/2026: We were delighted from beginning to end. We came specifically for the frog legs, which were delicious, as was the rest of the meal. The service was attentive, warm, and just the right amount of present. We immediately felt welcome. The cuisine was excellent, very refined, and prepared with great care. The wine perfectly complemented the meal.
