19/09/2024: I had dinner with friends. We asked if we could eat on the terrace. Answer: we don't have the staff for!!!!!!!!! It's true that it will be available in November. We are offered an aperitif, perfect, too bad we don't add a few pretzels. I make the request and the waiter tells me that people generally have a pie. Ugh as an answer. we didn't want a pie but something to accompany our aperitif. The waitress, much nicer, took care of us. I still had to ask for bread with my salad. The evening continues, small crowds, we order desserts. Everything is fine. the restaurant is gradually emptying out, and there are few people left. Without asking anything, the waiter, not a penny trader, brought us the bill, making us understand that it was time to go to bed. We hadn't asked for anything. I have never seen this!!!!!!!!!!

03/09/2024: It is always pleasant to have a snack with high quality pastry desserts in this place, as well as to have lunch or dinner enjoying their typical Alsatian and non-Alsatian dishes, of excellent quality!!...more than fair portions and good value for money! Despite being very busy, there is always room for everyone as it has 2 large internal rooms, a tea room and outdoor tables on a lovely central square

07/09/2024: Fast service. Nice exterior. Haven't seen the interior. Just a shame, it's not possible to have fried potatoes without bacon. We asked the waitress and she said it wasn't possible.

11/09/2024: We celebrated a birthday there with around thirty people. Service, cuisine and atmosphere lived up to the event. Great availability for the organization and a lot of flexibility for our 2 babies. What professionalism! THANK YOU again! I highly recommend...

26/08/2024: Déjeuner du Dimanche midi en famille tout à fait convaincant. Le repas était de grande qualité avec un très bon point pour le filet de sébaste avec son rizotto, la chair du poisson bien nacrée attestant de sa fraicheur et d'une cuisson parfaite. Le seul bémol aura été à propos de la longueur du service quelque peu excessive, sinon le service était bon avec un serveur particulièrement zélé et courtois. Bonne maison familiale, nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

05/09/2024: We called on Philippe Rome for our wedding on August 31, 2024. Great follow-up from the salesperson, Maun. We see that he enjoys his work and is very professional. Reception organized outdoors, the team adapted perfectly to the location, to our needs and those of the guests. Dinner in the evening, coordination with the DJ to send the dishes. 16/08/2024: Service anarchique, un serveur qui s’énerve sur un autre, le pain n’est pas servi, nous avons dû le réclamer et lorsqu’il a fallu en redemander ( à 21h ), il n’y en avait plus, verre de vin sale. Clou du spectacle, mes enfants n’ont pas eu leur dessert compris dans le menu enfant. Des gens qui se font installer à la même table alors qu’ils viennent séparément. Un prix exorbitant pour une piètre qualité, poisson sans goût et pomme de terres trop cuites ( pleines d’eau ). Je déconseille fortement. Vous trouvez bien mieux ailleurs en terme de qualité et d’authenticité, parole d’alsacienne !

15/09/2024: Vegan food and drinks. Very bland. Service is friendly but with a fast food vibe (bring back your dishes). Nice seating on the street.

14/09/2024: I bought a slice of eggplant tart for 5.70 euros for a (really) small slice. She was truly disgusting. And given the (pretentious) price charged I feel doubly disgusted.

13/09/2024: I've been wanting to come and eat in this famous place for a while... I was actually not disappointed (we came there for my birthday with my husband) As it was a Thursday it was a special "tapas-style" evening "...a little surprised but no regrets since we were able to taste several dishes which were all excellent: spaghetti with parmesan...simple but "deliziosi" as well as the veal with chanterelles etc...only downside was the waitress! ! I can understand that it is not an easy job but a minimum of kindness and respect! We don't go to a table and say: "How are you two?! What are you having next?", or she cuts you off during a conversation etc... Even our neighbors were not satisfied with the waitress 😒 ... fortunately there was the "versatile" sommelier to catch up... who was a very pleasant person by the way (Pauline should take inspiration from her!!) In short... I hope I will have a better experience during a next visit.

03/08/2024: Good restaurant with incredibly friendly service. We were warmly welcomed and they immediately referred to the allergy I had mentioned when making the reservation. It's always nice when the staff acknowledges this. Delicious wine (naturally, as we are in Alsace) and we enjoyed the charcuterie to share as a starter. Afterwards, we both had a generous piece of meat, well-seasoned and served with tasty fries and some salad. The tiramisu ice cream was a delightful surprise. The ambiance was good, with plenty of space so you’re not eating packed with your neighbors. Definitely recommended and at a very reasonable price!

18/09/2024: we had a great dinner here on our last night in strausborg. this is a small and intimate restaurant with a limited menu, just how my dad and I like it. we especially appreciated the owner, who was willing to speak french with my dad. he was raised by quebec french speakers and the french in france are not always enthused when foreigners try to speak their language. ultimately, we were the quietest americans in the restaurant (low bar). on to food. started with the beef carpaccio, which could have been a bit thinner but the nice pesto spread over the top of it made up for it. I had perfectly cooked steak frites in pepper sauce and my dad got the duck. we both throughly enjoyed our meal and had to finish with creme brulee. i would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend. the owner made us feel like family and that is the key to good dining. cheers and hope to return sgain.

11/07/2024: Good quality even if the quantity can sometimes be a little lacking (this remains reasonable for the asking price). The waitress is quite unpleasant and does not hesitate to show her annoyance. If the position no longer suits her, it would be better for her well-being and that of the clients she plans to change as quickly as possible.

08/09/2024: Very pleasant terrace. Friendly service. I really enjoyed the summer salad. The meat is also very good. I went there with my family twice in August and September, each time a treat for everyone. The decor is nice. Parking nearby.

24/09/2024: Excellente cuisine dans un cadre très sympa et grand parking devant le restaurant. La Volerie du Forez est toute proche donc adresse à retenir pour votre déjeuner.
