13/03/2026: As part of the restaurant's festive events, the menu item at Kastelberg was described as: "Celery ravioli with mushroom duxelles, finely shredded smoked eel in a vibrant ginger broth." The dish I received contained only two slices of celery sandwiched between other vegetables. When I asked where the shredded eel was, I was bluntly told that it was cooked in the broth. In that case, the more accurate description would be "eel-infused broth," not "shredded eel in broth." The description clearly implies the presence of fish on the plate. No compensation or alternative was offered, leaving a distinct impression of false advertising and a misleading description of the final product. It's a shame, because the main course was decent, and the average dessert resembled a piece of mass-produced fruit mousse cake. Edible, but nothing special; I didn't detect the promised cardamom flavor. Overall, I was disappointed by this restaurant for the first time.

25/02/2026: It's always a pleasure to stay at this lovely, traditional hotel. The food is excellent, very generous portions at unbeatable prices. The friendly staff are incredibly attentive. I highly recommend it.

04/05/2026: Good restaurant, welcoming atmosphere, service, and dishes offered were very decent. A minor drawback was the fries, which were a bit hard. Prices were reasonable.

12/04/2026: Excellent family meal. From the foie gras to the veal tenderloin and the array of desserts, everything was delicious. The vegetarians and those with dietary restrictions in our group also left delighted. As always, a sure bet for our family meals. Well done and thank you to the whole team.

04/05/2026: The food was satisfactory. However, the noise level in the restaurant was appalling. People have no respect for others, especially children, who are allowed to do whatever they want, including constantly shouting. Furthermore, the staff themselves don't know how to move the chairs quietly, which I find particularly bothersome. I've been twice, and there won't be a third time!

02/05/2026: A restaurant that makes absolutely everything from scratch, from the main course to the condiments and side dishes, is very rare, and I wanted to emphasize that. The food was excellent; everything was delicious, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced, with generous portions. The waitress who served us was very kind and smiling. It's an excellent place to go.

04/03/2026: Hello, we celebrated my father's 90th birthday last February, and everything was well organized, from the private room to the service and the meal we chose. Thank you so much, the party was a great success! 🤗👍👍

24/04/2026: We only went to the Auberge restaurant for dinner. Here in Scherwiller, about 20 minutes from Colmar, they offer upscale, sometimes outstanding, country-style cuisine, which means even more in Alsace than in Germany. We treated ourselves to a set menu with accompanying wines, while our daughter had some difficulty finding something suitable on the à la carte menu. Visually, everything was Michelin-star quality (see photos). The amuse-bouche (homemade bread, a creamy soup with garnish) was a fantastic start. The appetizers were homemade foie gras and cured salmon accompanied by a complementary cream that resembled a sorbet. The main course was filet mignon, one with an excellent escalope de foie gras, the other with spaetzle. The only criticism was that the meat might not have been cut against the grain. This didn't detract from the taste, but the texture was noticeably too firm. My daughter chose fish, possibly cod in an excellent saffron mushroom sauce; I can't quite recall the exact type. Hopefully, we'll reap the rewards of this culinary education someday. For dessert, we had a meringue on a berry sauce, and the second one, a sorbet hidden beneath a praline topping, served in a perfectly matched cream. The wine pairing was superb. I'll definitely be buying one or two of them for myself. All in all, thanks in large part to the incredibly friendly service and inviting atmosphere, it was a delightful excursion into the rural Alsatian gourmet scene.

21/04/2026: Hello The hotel and restaurant are very professional, with a warm welcome, and the food is consistently excellent. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, which were very clean and at a pleasant temperature. Thank you again to everyone.

19/05/2026: I absolutely didn't regret stopping here; the owners were lovely, and the faux filet was the best thing I've had in a long time. I highly recommend Le Rhinkaechele.

16/05/2026: Amazing quality and quantity of food. Service was quick despite a full restaurant. We hadn't reserved but they found us a table. Great Alsace food but we need to reserve next time.

16/05/2026: I'd been wanting to try the cake for ages, like ages, but every time I went there it was sold out. But I hadn't given up hope 😂 And this time I was lucky enough to taste it, and I don't regret the wait at all 😅 It's absolutely delicious. A bit pricey for a cake, but you're mostly buying the name, and the flavors were definitely there.
