01/04/2026: Unfortunately, much worse than expected. The table we had reserved in person wasn't available. We were given a different table, but it was too small for our group. The food didn't meet our expectations. Duck with sauerkraut, chicken with mushroom sauce, steak with vegetables... everything was bland or barely seasoned. The vegetables consisted of one small piece of zucchini and one small piece of carrot. The waiters were bored and rather unfriendly. Not recommended; we wouldn't go back.

25/02/2026: Originally from the area, I discovered this gem. The road leading to the inn has finally been completely renovated. The inn, nestled in the heart of the woods, sits in a large courtyard where tables are set up in the shade of centuries-old trees. The place is airy and full of charm. The menu offers starters and main courses made with quality ingredients, beautifully presented. To celebrate a birthday, we ordered a vacherin glacé: a real treat. The staff, smiling and impressively efficient despite the crowds, contributes to making the experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful discovery, congratulations to the whole team!

07/03/2026: I can absolutely recommend this restaurant 😊 Attentive, friendly service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. There was absolutely nothing to complain about with the tarte flambée, burgers, salad, and drinks! The service was attentive, they were delighted by our three French words as "tourists," and they also spoke good English. We would definitely come back. A clear recommendation if you're not expecting fine dining and just want a relaxed meal and drinks 😊

11/04/2026: Delicious and generous cuisine in an authentic Winstub setting. A hearty starter of cervelas and Gruyère cheese, excellent sauerkraut, and a ham hock cooked in a terrine with melted Munster cheese. Friendly service. The restroom decor is a fun curiosity.

28/02/2026: What a delightful surprise! There was so much finesse in this simply delicious and indulgent cuisine. We were expecting a simple meal. I can't decide whether I preferred the pike-perch quenelles or the poached pear. It was sophisticated and original. And we'll definitely be back, despite the drive. 21/12/2025: Beautiful heritage hotel in a beautiful town. Despite arriving late we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff who made sure we had the best possible experience. We could park our car for free in the car park next to the hotel . The rooms were comfortable and cosy, the staircase is magnificent with lots of delightful historical features. The restaurant on site is very pleasant where we had a very tasty breakfast. It's a great spot for families, our children loved the hotel and we had a unique experience learning about the history and practicing french. The owners gave us a lot of great tips for sightseeing in Alsace and we ended up having a great holiday. Thank you!

19/12/2025: This is the place to be! A very charming and cozy inn at the heart of the dreamy Chatenois. It is so pretty all around, the bed is super comfortable, amazing views, very warm and attentive staff. Loved every minute here.

25/03/2026: A great find for lunch. Cosy, fiendly, and really good food at a reasonable price. We had a great dandelion salad (Salade de Pisenlit) with bacon and a fried egg on top of it. Delicious lunch!
