27/09/2026: So I read the reviews and I think we must have gone to different restaurants. The old lady who greeted us was really unfriendly, and her daughter even less so. We waited almost half an hour before getting our order. The place itself is very beautiful, but the service needs improvement.

26/09/2026: A shady courtyard where you can enjoy your food, in our case delicious tarte flambée, in a lovely atmosphere. The service was very friendly and personal!

02/08/2026: This is a tiny bakery with a limited selection of sweet items. The croissant was solid with the classic crisp/flakey exterior and soft/fluffy interior. There is zero seating inside or outside so head over to the nearby park and enjoy.

12/05/2026: I visited around 7:30 in the morning to buy bread for breakfast. I bought a croissant, a chocolat, and a boucho. The in-room dining at my Airbnb was delicious.

06/09/2026: A wonderful discovery at Le Bœuf Noir! We had a fantastic time. The meal was delicious, with high-quality ingredients and exquisite presentation. The service was pleasant, attentive, and professional. We highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return!

29/08/2026: A wonderful family evening in a traditional setting! We came to the Hammerer for dinner on a Friday evening as a family and had a fantastic time. The traditional Alsatian decor adds a lot of charm and immediately sets the mood. After a very pleasant aperitif to start the evening, everyone at the table enjoyed a delicious meal: * For the adults: A generous and perfectly executed five-meat sauerkraut for me, and a delicious vol-au-vent for my wife. * For the children: Everyone found something they loved, from the mini sauerkraut to the rich and flavorful tarte flambée au gratin and the mussels and fries. Special mention goes to the fries, which were truly excellent! To finish on a sweet note, we opted for the iced kugelhopf (a real treat!), a very refreshing citrus crème brûlée, and ice cream for the children. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere warm. A lovely traditional restaurant in Colmar that we highly recommend!

26/09/2026: Wonderful experience! Our host, who gave us the address, told us it was "well worth it," and we weren't disappointed! The portions were generous and high-quality, the welcome was warm—everything for a fantastic evening. We were so impressed that we booked a table to return the next day! We highly recommend this restaurant.

12/09/2026: One of the best, if not the best, within a 30km radius. Fresh, fast service, and on top of that, he's a master kebab maker. His meat is delicious and melts in your mouth. Nothing like those pseudo-chains selling frozen meat from Germany. Plus, he's got a great sense of humor. A must-try!

20/08/2026: Family meal today. Pleasant service. Small menu, so we expect everything to be homemade. Black Angus beef, but the fries are frozen, which is a real shame. Our bill came to €124 for six people, without starters except for a small charcuterie board at €8.50. And no dessert for anyone. We found it a bit pricey. The setting is nice, but a little more effort on the side dishes would be appreciated.

16/08/2026: Very disappointed. We arrived at 1:00 PM sharp. I had reserved a table on the terrace to get some fresh air and enjoy the view. I was immediately told there were no more tables available on the terrace without any explanation. So I expressed my dissatisfaction to the waitress, and again, no explanation. Inside, it was very hot and full of flies. The service was icy. The meal was acceptable, but when it came time to pay the bill, perhaps a small gesture of goodwill? You didn't say a word. I absolutely do not recommend this place!

24/08/2026: A pleasant surprise! With only two people in the dining room, the service ran like clockwork, and was friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will gladly return.

05/10/2026: Was very excited to try this place as it had a lot of acclaim and hype. The service was brutally slow even by European standards with plates not cleared for long stretches between courses. Took a long time to get seated and place an order. The cauliflower soup was delicious. The onion tarte was ok. The pork knuckle was decent. The fish was below average. The desserts were also mediocre. Perhaps after spending a couple weeks in Italy and France our expectations of a Michelin Guide recommended restaurant were a bit too lofty. Also, this was the first and only place that explicitly asked us for a tip. Curious if they do that to all their patrons or just the ones from countries where it might be customary. There is probably better value to be found at other restaurants. Food was no better than schwendis down the street.

05/10/2026: We had a fantastic experience for our Saturday night dinner. My husband had the Choucroute and I had the Char. Starters were the Munster salad, and dessert was the Forêt Noir (with very boozy cherries!). Before the meal we were offered a small cup of cauliflower soup, which was absolutely delicious. The service was very attentive without being over-bearing. Everything about the experience was excellent.
