08/09/2026: Starting from Eschbach-au-Val, near Munster, a picturesque little road winding its way up the mountainside—very easy to drive—leads to the Auberge Obersolberg. The inn is nestled at the end of a cul-de-sac, surrounded by nature, overlooking a splendid valley where a few sheep and two donkeys graze. Parking is easy, and several tables are set up facing this remarkable panorama. At the end of the day, we loved settling in there to enjoy a drink. This was our second stay at this inn, and this time, both couples had opted for a six-day half-board package. Upon entering, we were greeted by Myriam, the owner, always smiling and welcoming. The cozy and beautifully decorated interior offers a typically Alsatian atmosphere in which one immediately feels at home. The room is comfortable, the bed linens and towels smell lovely, and the bathroom is fully functional. A flat-screen TV with a wide selection of channels is available, and free Wi-Fi covers the entire property. Breakfast is generous: yogurt, fruit, cheese, ham, various breads, as well as fresh and delicious pastries. As for the dinners prepared by Chef Jean-Luc, they were—as I wrote in their guestbook—true little celebrations. From appetizer to dessert, each dish is beautifully presented, showcasing high-quality, flavorful local produce in generous portions. Our taste buds still remember it. We don't know if Jean-Luc has a secret, but it's clear that his pots and pans contain much more than just good ingredients: there's real talent behind every plate. Between Myriam and Jean-Luc's kindness and professionalism, their daily attention to detail, and the overall atmosphere, we felt right at home… only better. The inn's location is also ideal for exploring this region, which has so much to offer. We left with wonderful memories—and perhaps a kilo or two heavier. And since this was our second stay, there's no doubt it won't be our last: when a place manages to combine tranquility, beauty, and delicious food with top-notch service and excellent value, you always end up coming back.

29/08/2026: We had a wonderful stay at the Auberge Obersolberg a few weeks ago during the heatwave; it did us a world of good. And what a beautiful view from the veranda of the cozy restaurant, where the plates were generous in both quality and quantity. We loved having breakfast in the charmingly decorated little room. And, most importantly for us, the hosts were down-to-earth, very welcoming, and attentive. We will definitely be back to enjoy it all again.

23/07/2026: The restaurant was full, and both waitresses were incredibly fast (they were also in charge of the bar) – great service. We ordered one dish from the daily specials menu, beef cooked medium, but they could barely cut it… it was like chewing gum. And it definitely wasn't medium/see photo. We mentioned it when they were clearing the table (unfortunately, no one came before because it was so busy). The response: "Oh, would you like dessert?" 😂 …that was all. The waitress was also baffled when we said it was like chewing gum. We then paid. The baked cheese was good. The beef wasn't worth the money. Maybe we were just unlucky and got a tough piece…

An excellent meal featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients! From aperitif to dessert, everything was perfect! We will gladly return! 02/09/2026: If there's one restaurant in Guebwiller I always return to with pleasure, it's Le Bratzala. Once again, I wasn't disappointed! Dinner was truly excellent, with superb regional dishes, and the service was quick, attentive, and very friendly. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone passing through Guebwiller who wants to spend a pleasant time in a calm, charming, and picturesque setting. A sure bet!

Our waiter (unfortunately forgot his name) was an absolute pleasure to be around. Highly recommended!

25/09/2026: DO NOT RESERVE A TABLE AT THIS RESTAURANT. I booked a table for two over one month in advance. When we arrived, we were rudely informed that no table was available, in spite of having received a confirmation from the restaurant the day before. No effort was made to acknowledge the mistake or to try and make it right. We were simply told to come after 9pm and maybe they would have a table us. Probably for the best because the smell of cooking grease and rancid meat coming from the kitchen was overwhelming. It was a totally disgusting place, with even worse attitude thrown in for good measure. Stay far, far away from this place. I’m only giving it 1 star because 0 stars is not an option.

01/08/2026: Magnificent restaurant in Riquewihr!!! I highly recommend L’Écurie. This restaurant excels in every aspect one could expect from a good establishment. The service is impeccable; the waitresses are very kind, smiling, helpful, and offer excellent advice. The wine suggestions are interesting and stand out. I'm thinking in particular of the Chardonnay or the barrel-aged Riesling from Maison Dopff, wines that are less commonly found in Alsatian restaurants. The restaurant remains rooted in its local tradition with a menu of specialties: I highly recommend the green sauerkraut! L’Écurie offers sophisticated dishes, beautifully presented and expertly prepared, such as duck breast with cherries, or the daily special: a risotto with prawns and scallops. The entire service was carried out with great professionalism, and it was a very pleasant experience for our family. Thank you to the team for this wonderful time. Finally, the terrace and the restaurant's interior are beautifully decorated and have a very friendly atmosphere. Ultimately, you feel very comfortable there and have a wonderful time. I highly recommend it!

29/07/2026: In a magnificent setting in the heart of a historic city. A very good restaurant with excellent ingredients. The flavors are consistently the same. I highly recommend this restaurant. But I advise making a reservation.
