17/05/2026: While visiting Alsace, we wanted to enjoy a traditional, local meal on this public holiday. Le Cheval Blanc was recommended to us for this purpose. When making the reservation, it's amusing to see that the customer suggests different possible times, and the owner immediately gives us a time of her choosing. ^^ The welcome is friendly and warm. We were immediately taken care of and served quickly. The food has everything going for it: quality, quantity, and flavor. Thank you for this wonderful experience. It's a shame you don't accept holiday vouchers.

20/05/2026: No complaints about the quality of the asparagus. However, €30 per kilo when this year there's an overproduction of asparagus (€27 last year) is starting to get expensive. Another thing. There were eight of us, and we ended up with four slices of ham, not one slice per person, plus other charcuterie... The wild boar meat, for eight people, was the same... A small bowl for eight... The mayonnaise was very light, in my opinion. Still good, but very thin. In Alsace, we're big eaters. We've been going there for years, but I don't know if I'll continue... and that's a shame!

18/05/2026: On Saturday the 16th, we went to the store. In preparation for a family gathering, I bought some bekeaoff... Not good at all, the leek tasted like hay, the meat was dry... disappointed. The other two dishes were okay.

10/06/2026: I've worked in aviation for decades, Through clouds, continents, and endless runways. I've traveled the world, from crêperie to crêperie, In search of flavors, treasures, and poetry. But today, at Crampous Mad, what a delicious revelation! I was completely blown away. Out of the 194 countries on our round Earth, I've never tasted a crêpe so rich. At your place, the batter doesn't crease, It soars higher than a jet airliner in full flight. And in this crêperie, forgive the audacious pun, I realized that "Crampous" surely comes from "cramp of the gods." It was pure delight, an almost mystical feast, A taste experience bordering on magic. My taste buds awakened unsuspected chakras, Secret doors I had never explored. The waiter was remarkable, attentive, inspired, Like a captain guiding a starry flight. And each bite of that crêpe offered for tasting Carried me non-stop to a new dimension. So thank you, Crampous Mad, for this memorable journey, This rare and unforgettable gourmet stopover. I've seen the whole world from the sky and its currents, But your flavors, they remain definitively above the clouds and time.

26/05/2026: What an extraordinary experience! Step through the door of this establishment and you'll be greeted warmly and professionally! Homemade dishes, affordable set menus (30 euros for the first course), and impeccable service. And what a wine list... two volumes (white and red) featuring the very best wines from Alsace and all over France. We left delighted and certain we'll be back. Many thanks for this wonderful experience!

10/06/2026: The only downside is that there isn't a separate line to order for the tea room; you have to queue in the line with those buying bread or pastries.

23/05/2026: We were very skeptical due to the negative reviews. But we had a wonderful evening there. The food was excellent and the service extremely friendly. We don't speak French, but the staff were incredibly patient with us. Using gestures and a translation app, we managed to get exactly what we ordered. We highly recommend this restaurant.

20/05/2026: I had a salad and something like a thin-crust pizza. It wasn't surprising, but it was pretty good. Considering the high cost of living in Paris these days, it even felt like a bargain. I wanted to eat outside, but smoking was allowed, so I gave up on that idea.

17/05/2026: One star. I ordered a dish expecting it to be served hot, but it arrived completely cold and they didn't explain it but just told me to look to the dish on another table. I politely asked if it could be replaced, especially since I hadn’t even touched it, but the owner refused. In the end, I paid for a meal I never ate. Very disappointing customer service and overall experience. Adding in response to the owner: I asked to replace a plate that was taken out of the fridge and you could just put it again in the fridge since it was not touched neither someone had to cook it just for me at the moment. You told me you couldn't change it anyway and was too late. For the tarte flambè and the salad, we didn't have any problem as you wrote, but as soon as we had a problem, your response was in short "too late, you ordered it". In other places where there is real attention to clients, at least they offer alternatives better than this.
