22/03/2026: It absolutely astounds me to see the awful videos and photos of these poor cows imprisoned in stalls and allowed no movement whatsoever, yet people ❤️ & like them! Perhaps the ❤️’s & Likers should spend the winter season with that nasty metal frame around their neck while chained to guarantee no movement. And yes I know this is due to snow outside & the cows can’t graze. No need to keep them locked up like that though, how about a barn they could at least move around in???? Response to reply below. I was giving 1 star to the way the cows are tethered up in those metal neck harnesses. I’ve now upped it to 3 in response to your comment. I know a fair bit about how farming works, grew up in Cornwall and had a lot to do with farms, mostly dairy. As for giving 1 star I give what I feel, you can see my reviews and I’ve never seen a business promoting itself with photos & videos of cows locked up like this, so I haven’t given any other mountain farms 1 star, yet. Where I grew up the cows were not locked up like this! I know this is common practice in these environments but it doesn’t have to be. You point out they are outside May-October so that’s 6 months chained up like the photo & video then, unless I am missing something. As for the excuse why they can’t move around, you’ve answered it yourself, “cost of the buildings” so the cows endure 6 months locked up like this so the costs are kept down, exactly my point. But as I wrote, I have upped the stars. I hope you can take on board that these cows are living creatures, have done no wrong but the system feels it is perfectly acceptable to imprison them like this……. To save money🤐

18/03/2026: Cool bar, good atmosphere, nice terrace, and a great location in the city center! Unfortunately, no toilets… at least not the night we were there.

02/04/2026: Delicious crepes. Reasonably priced. Great views. Really impressed by the customer service. The waitress remembered everyone's order (group of 8) and the proprietor came to check that we had enjoyed everything. We hadn't realised that we had stayed beyond closing time, but they did not hurry us out. We were made to feel very welcome.

17/01/2026: Passing through the area, we stopped for dinner at the inn. We ordered two chicken escalopes with Reblochon cheese and fries, two Monaco chocolates, and a crème brûlée. The escalopes were very tender, the Reblochon sauce was full of flavor, and dipping the fries in it was a real treat. The crème brûlée was light, perfect for finishing the meal without feeling heavy. The manager is welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Thank you for this delicious meal, all the best! 😌

27/12/2025: We had a wonderful evening. The service was excellent, and the owner was very kind and attentive. As for the food, it was delicious and reasonably priced.

12/04/2026: Very good beer and wine selection even at the very end of the season for Samoëns. We would really like to come back in the summertime. The staff are very friendly and the location is easily accessible on skis from anywhere in the Grand Massif resort or via Gondola.

08/04/2026: Where to begin? Just to clarify, there were 2 servers and 5 tables for a maximum of 20 covers… A 25-minute wait for a Coke with ice and lemon and a beer. The Coke arrived without ice or lemon… great start… The charcuterie board, ordered at the same time, arrived after 45 minutes… No bread, no butter… When I asked the server for butter, he told me they didn't have any… I asked for a piece of cooking butter because, yes, good charcuterie goes perfectly with good buttered bread, but apparently, that only exists in my world… Then came an interminable wait for the two pizzas ordered at the same time as the drinks and the charcuterie… The staff seemed overwhelmed, frantic, or desperate. We finally left the table without having received the pizzas after a 1 hour and 45 minute wait… Their excuse? End of season… You won't see us again… and a word of advice: if you're looking for a quick lunch between runs, don't come here… 1 star because I can't give 0…

10/06/2026: Absolutely fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we enjoyed excellent food and beer. Special mention to the waiter who, even though all the tables were reserved, managed to find us a small round table where we could sit comfortably. Thank you for the warm welcome, we'll be back! A couple from the south :)

14/05/2026: I'm only giving one star because the gentleman who served us was nice, but honestly, the food... I don't mean to be unpleasant, but it wasn't good, nothing more to say. I'm not going to publicly shame anyone, but there's definitely room for improvement. We were extremely disappointed, truly disgusted... What reassures me is that the ladies at the next table were saying the same thing about their fondue... so it wasn't just us...

24/05/2026: A superb and wonderful place! A very accessible family chalet. Very clean and a warm atmosphere. No waiting between courses and no rush either... just right, and it has to be said, it's much appreciated! The cuisine is truly excellent, at least the kind of cuisine you expect from a GOOD restaurant. So delighted to have spent time on the terrace. Generous menus, 5-star service. Delicious home-style cooking, the potato gratin with porcini mushrooms was exceptional, as were the desserts and the starter! We were won over. Thank you for this wonderful experience in every sense of the word!

06/06/2026: Rare, very rare place. Incredible atmosphere, you feel like entering a world from your old memories, antique porcelain, french traditional recipes. Incredible location and very hard to find something like it at the same price level (medium).

01/04/2026: Superb setting. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing; the dish was poorly reheated, hot on one side and cold on the other. The Jacquère wine by the glass was flavorless and shouldn't be on the menu. No amuse-bouche was served.

12/05/2026: Honestly, nothing to complain about. The prices are average for the area, for impeccable quality. Even on a packed off-season lunchtime with local construction workers, the service was perfect and pleasant. Absolutely top-notch. ++++ What can I say about Matouille du Yeti? 😍

28/03/2026: We were very happy with our visit to Le Grand Cry. The food was delicious, and the waitresses were very pleasant and smiling. There was just a slight wait between courses and to pay, but we will definitely be back.

27/03/2026: This hotel is very pleasant, comfortable, and has a family atmosphere. With only 15 rooms, excellent cuisine, and a breathtaking view of the Mont Blanc mountain range from the room's balcony! Don't hesitate to stay there!
