06/06/2026: A wonderful discovery! This is my first time in Annecy. I was immediately drawn to the restaurant's exterior. Today, the weather is beautiful with a temperature of 24°C. Their outdoor terrace is very well designed and can be shaded if needed with an electric retractable awning. As for the food, it was excellent; the dishes were generous and very appetizing. The service was efficient yet discreet. I had a lovely time, a perfect post-meal break.
05/06/2026: Disappointed with our visit to this restaurant.
First of all: the restrooms, both men's and women's, were an absolute disaster. They weren't even cleaned. In the women's room, a door was completely see-through, perfect for guys who want to ogle...
Then, the waiter wasn't very friendly. Frankly, there are better options. We felt like we were bothering him.
The food was nothing special, and the burgers were starved of sauce and very dry, plus the Coke cost €5.
My boyfriend and I ended up paying €60, and frankly, it hurt to pay for that.

Having stayed for two nights in March 2026, I found the hotel truly exceptional: the welcome, the room, the jacuzzi. Thomas is accommodating and attentive (and the pizza is very good (thank you Thomas, you'll know who I am)). The après-ski was top-notch, thank you for everything.

A burger that's a cut above the rest with incredibly tender meat, superb frog legs, and perch fillets that go down a treat.
Next up: the breaded Reblochon cheese 🫵🏻.

The view of Mont Blanc from the bed was amazing,,🤍 and the friendly staff made it perfect!
29/05/2026: Excellent hotel, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room with a view of Mont Blanc – impeccable, the bedding was perfect and the staff welcoming. I highly recommend it.

16/05/2026: A very disappointing experience.
A major error in the burger's ingredients: it was supposed to be pork-free according to the menu, but it contained bacon. This is unacceptable, especially for a dish where the ingredients must be clearly listed.
The replacement burger wasn't any better, with undercooked meat. They offered a gesture of goodwill with an Orangina, but this doesn't make up for the ordering and cooking errors. They really need to be more rigorous with the menu and the preparation of their dishes.

01/04/2026: I've visited Vaffieu many times over the last 5yrs of their 25yrs since 2001, and ALWAYS had great food, service with a smile, and they always do their best to accommodate you, even when so busy they don't have to!
The boss & très élégant Carole & Christian Gravier (divorced, but still a team!)
It's a great family business with son Hugo running the bar team.
(not forgetting son Ronan, super DJ, see him at Happy Hours and more Morzine venues)
Kitchen headed by Chef Marco, 14yrs and counting + team of 5

13/05/2026: Snails like I haven't had in ages, absolutely delicious. Frog leg, very good, and I tried the tartare au gratin with Vacherin cheese... Quite a great experience, the cheese doesn't overpower the other flavors, the tartare itself is full of taste, not disappointed at all, and I'll be back soon! 👍
