04/05/2026: The service and welcome were good. The setting is lovely. However, we were very disappointed with the matcha latte and matcha cacao latte. In fact, both drinks tasted only of milk.

29/04/2026: A small establishment at the foot of Biarritz beach. The ice creams are sumptuous and very generous, which justifies their high prices. It's difficult to finish the largest ones alone unless you have a voracious appetite. The place is perfect for enjoying a delicious ice cream or sipping a good beer while taking in the view!

09/01/2026: A warm and friendly welcome awaits you; the servers are smiling and approachable. The food is authentic and delicious. Finally, the atmosphere is pleasant and cheerful. It's best to book in advance, especially on Wednesdays and Fridays for the steak and fries!

22/12/2025: We had a reservation, but despite that, the restaurant wasn't heated. I ended up freezing by the end of the meal; it's very unpleasant to eat in those conditions.

07/07/2025: Very friendly little restaurant. From the €25 menu, I had mussels à la diva as a starter; excellent. However, the main course was squid. A huge surprise, really very little in the pan. Nothing to eat. And for dessert, a homemade tiramisu, which was also a real disappointment. Otherwise, the waiters and waitresses were very decent.

14/03/2026: The bakery is well-stocked. A wide selection of breads, pastries, and sandwiches. I tried the one with Tomme cheese and country ham, and a Basque cherry cake. Delicious.

12/12/2025: Atypical hotel, very friendly staff, magnificent location, beautiful view and the perfect room on the top floor, large comfortable bed, air-conditioned room and above all clean with air conditioning.

08/04/2026: Wow ! Betty and Pascal are the most wonderful hosts. They looked after our group of 6 with a great level of care and attention. Pascal was super helpful with allowing us to store cars and bikes for our Camino Trail. The walk to the hotel from St Jean Pied de Port is very scenic and not too long. Best of all is Pascal's cooking - incredible quality and such an amazing dinner. Thanks to you both for your hospitality.

18/05/2026: We are lactose intolerant. After mentioning this to the waitress, she offered us Vegetop as a substitute. I therefore chose the ribeye steak, thinking the Roquefort sauce would be replaced. Unfortunately, the Roquefort sauce was still on the meat (the Vegetop was only on the side). When we pointed out the mistake, the waitress seemed annoyed and said that the dish was served as is. She took the plates back and brought them to us with a very meager garnish: only three carrot pieces and two arugula leaves, compared to the generous garnish on the first plate. The final apologies were unconvincing, and no compensation was offered. We do not recommend this establishment for people with food intolerances.

15/04/2026: Excellent for a worker's meal, nothing to complain about, the price was right too, I recommend it. The service was top-notch.

Don't believe the previous comment from a Bordeaux eco-conscious hipster.

29/03/2026: We had lunch as a family on Sunday; the meal was delicious, the day was sunny, and we ate on the terrace. The cuisine is traditional and of high quality. Be warned, the portions are generous! 😉

28/05/2026: The problem with this establishment: the service. The orange juice was good. The terrace is nice. The fact that credit cards aren't accepted below a certain amount is clearly displayed before ordering. But one waiter (unfortunately for me, the others seemed professional) was far too intrusive. He claimed he was joking. Personally, and I'm far from the only one who feels this way, I call it a series of completely inappropriate remarks and insistence.

25/04/2026: At the price of the set menu during the ham fair, I think it would be fair not to take advantage of your customers. 34 euros for the portions we received, especially the five tiny pieces of pineapple... We're the ones who keep you in business the rest of the year, so you shouldn't be ripping us off when events like the ham fair or the Bayonne festivities come around. We booked with you because we considered you a reliable establishment, and we were very disappointed, as was the table behind us.

15/05/2026: I entered this establishment and said "hello" and was greeted with a rather sharp "WHAT" from a seemingly angry French man from behind the bar. As I didn't reply (momentarily stunned) he followed on with a "WHAT DO YOU WANT". 1st, I asked whether hot chocolate was on the menu. 2nd, I asked why he felt the need to shout at me. He replied that he was like that !!!! Basil Faulty rides again is all I can say. The hot chocolate was average. Service was shocking. I rated the establishment 1 star because -10 wasn't an option. Pilgrims be careful.
