24/08/2026: The setting was very pleasant and we enjoyed our meal. The service was quick and the wait time for each course was clearly indicated, which was a plus. The non-smoking terrace was also very welcome. The only slight drawback was the prices, which seemed a little high.

02/08/2026: Discovered today with my family Just one word WOW! We ordered Moroccan chicken with potatoes, beans, and sauce. But the tapenade was simply incredible!!! Thank you for the wonderful explanation of your various chicken dishes and for your kindness. You are now officially our go-to place for Sunday chicken.

08/09/2026: Everything is perfect: the cuisine is intelligent, daring, gourmet, well-executed, with perfectly portioned dishes, etc., etc. It's true bistronomy, unlike all the others that call themselves that when they're actually rubbish (including in Saint-Jean-de-Luz). The service is impeccable. The head waitress manages everything with a master's touch, the sommelier ensures excellent service and finds the perfect little gem (he doesn't show off with his €200 bottles, but he does have them, and the wine list is as thick as a dictionary 😍). And even the young guy who looks like a geek, needing money to buy the new PS5 controller, well, he's efficient, smiling, and describes the restaurant menu with passion 🤘 All this in a traditional Lyonnais bistro atmosphere which, personally, prepares my soul and body to receive the food as it deserves 🤪 Anyway, thank you, and see you soon 😘

23/08/2026: The baked eggs with foie gras here is other worldly. So glad we took the waitress advice and got the fresh catch of the day - beautifully baked and soaked in emulsified lemon butter sauce. Our waitress offered us amazing advice and food recommendations - she is a delightful sunshine!

21/06/2026: A warm welcome, a comfortable room, Refined cuisine featuring local produce—it was delicious!—a chef who took great care of his guests, not forgetting his mother. So I say go for it, you'll find what you're looking for. Our club wasn't disappointed (there were 24 of us). If you're passing through Aincille, don't hesitate to stop by.

18/04/2026: Hello, I don't usually write this type of review, but I was disappointed with this establishment. I contacted them but received no response, so I wanted to share my experience. First, I want to clarify that this message is intended to be constructive and help improve the experience for future guests. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with our stay, especially compared to the expectations associated with your establishment's 5-star rating. Regarding the overwater bungalow: • The size and layout did not match the photos on Booking and other platforms. We had a bungalow of approximately 20 square meters, without a lounge area, which was less comfortable than we had imagined. • The sloping floor was difficult to live in, and a constant noise, probably from the pump, disturbed our stay despite our complaints. • The finishing touches in the suite were disappointing: damaged and torn curtains, a poorly attached toilet paper holder, no way to play music, a telephone not fixed to the wall, and marks and imperfections on the walls and paint. These details give an overall impression of lower quality than one would expect from a 5-star hotel. Regarding the spa: • Upon arrival, we waited 10 minutes without being greeted. • Bathrobes and towels were neither available nor neatly arranged, which created confusion regarding seating. We therefore shared a lounge chair, and no drinks were offered. • The spa did not match the images: no hammam, only a small sauna, and the showers showed signs of mold. The slippers appeared to be reused, which was neither pleasant nor hygienic. Regarding breakfast: • Arriving at 10:00 AM, several items were missing. For €36, the service seemed somewhat out of step with what is offered on-site. Other points: • I noticed on resale sites that some prices were lower than those offered directly by the hotel, with additional services included. When I mentioned this, the response was that it was due to supply and demand. It remains surprising, especially for 5-star establishments, that third parties can offer a lower price than the hotel. Positive points: • The staff who took us to the boat were very friendly and welcoming. • The sommelier was pleasant and attentive. In summary, our overall experience did not live up to our expectations for a 5-star stay, and I was quite disappointed. However, I hope that this feedback will be taken constructively to improve services and the satisfaction of future guests. 26/08/2026: We weren't staying at the hotel, but we stopped by the shop to buy some pâté and some really nice t-shirts. The young woman who served us was very friendly and helpful.

22/09/2026: We had lunch right in the center of Bayonne, opposite the tourist office. The welcome was friendly and pleasant, and the service was quick. The dishes were very well prepared; the skewer from the daily special was cooked exactly as I wanted it, and the Axoa was delicious. The portions were generous. We ate on the terrace in the shade, near the plane trees. A good, well-regarded restaurant that deserves its rating. We will be back.

18/08/2026: A small tapas bar/restaurant on a little street in Bayonne. That alone is promising. Well, Izarrena lives up to that promise. Fantastic welcome, fantastic tapas. No doubt about it, a real Bayonne gem!
