20/02/2026: We just had pizzas and a salad delivered, and frankly, I don't recommend this place. The pizzas are tasteless and very sparsely topped, so you need to drink plenty of water while eating them (cheese pizza and mountain pizza). And the salad… what can I say? It was very poorly dressed and had very little filling. In short… everything needs improvement. Once bitten, twice shy…

20/03/2026: Excellent value for money, quiet location. Good and plentiful breakfast. Easy to find, its location south of Bayonne allows you to head towards Spain without being held up by morning traffic!

15/03/2026: Overall, I had a good stay. The room was generally pleasant. A minor point for improvement: the shower head could be checked, and adding a shower curtain would be helpful to prevent splashes in the bathroom. Thank you to Lola for her warm welcome and understanding at reception.

07/03/2026: I've heard about Cazenave chocolate for over 40 years. I went to try it recently and was disappointed by the quality of the frothy hot chocolate, which cost €7.90 and was served in a small cup. Furthermore, the tables are very close together inside: you have to squeeze past people to let them pass behind you. Finally, you have to wait outside the entrance for an employee to come and get you before you can sit down.

30/03/2026: We had a pleasant time at Boulevard, enjoying the view of the snow-capped Pyrenees during the hour-long wait before someone finally deigned to attend to our table. We ended up calling the waitress, who explained that she hadn't thought that part of the terrace was her responsibility, despite the chairs bearing a "B" logo (for Boulevard, I presume). So, as it was teatime, we asked for a menu. The waiter asked if we were going to order food, and we replied that it was possible before bringing it to us after several trips back and forth. When it came time to take our order, the new waiter informed us that desserts weren't served on that part of the terrace but suggested a charcuterie board instead 🤨 (the neighboring table was just as bewildered as we were). Oh well, we only ordered drinks, which we had to pay for upon arrival, with no discount, of course. Luckily, the unobstructed view accompanied us throughout this ordeal.

22/03/2026: Very disappointed with the Amatxi tart for the first time. Frozen for over €25. Not only did the saleswoman give us a hard time about having it refrigerated, which we did, but the leftover tart the next day was inedible. Furthermore, the service at the Socoa shop was extremely poor!

28/11/2025: It was my first time eating there. I pass by several times a day, and this lunchtime I went with my colleagues and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was really simple, very good, and the price was more than reasonable. Thank you, and I hope to see you again very soon.

17/11/2025: Nice atmosphere, a visually appealing village restaurant. Not too long a wait, which is pleasant. The set menu is quite simple; it's not haute cuisine, but it's effective. They used to have a mushroom omelet and salad dressing, which I think is a shame they don't have anymore. However, the service really depends on the waitress. You either get yelled at or you get a smile. A little smile and a bit of joie de vivre are basic, aren't they, when you work in a restaurant? It's a shame to be afraid to ask for things when you're in a restaurant... a friendly piece of advice: make sure you treat your regular customers properly, because if you do, they'll come back!

13/12/2025: Not recommended for a group… the starter was excellent. Dessert too. However, the main course had tough meat and tasteless vegetables.

29/11/2025: We used to come here regularly, but last Saturday we were very disappointed. The service was adequate, though inconsistent depending on the waitress. Our dishes arrived at different times... More than 10 minutes is far too long. The portions were small, and the side dishes were insufficient. We will not be returning to this establishment, which I do not recommend.

16/04/2026: Hello, I'm not usually one to be so vindictive, but this was the last straw. To begin with, a friend and I entered the restaurant, and it took a good 10 minutes before we were even noticed. We were seated at a dirty table. A waitress (very nice, which is important later) came to take our order but told us that what we wanted was unavailable. She called her colleague, who was much less pleasant. So we changed what we wanted, and they made a mistake with my friend's drink order (a Diet Coke instead of a regular one). They forgot my ravioli, which I had to ask for again. We heard other customers complaining about the prices. On the other hand, the food was decent, despite the dirty dishes. Then it was our turn to pay, and the unpleasant waiter took our money. My friend ordered both drinks and her main course. The waiter didn't understand, and when it was my turn to pay, he told me it would be €18. I politely disagreed, but he insisted, adopting an unpleasant tone. We reminded him that my friend was ordering my drink. Not an apology, he just took my money. So I paid my €14.50 with my restaurant card. We were about to leave when he stopped us to tell me my payment hadn't gone through. I asked if they accepted restaurant cards, and he said no. No instructions, no warnings. Luckily, I had cash; otherwise, I would have been in a real bind. So, thank you to the kind waitress, but I certainly won't be returning to this establishment, which is of mediocre quality and deplorable service.
