21/11/2025: Over 20 years since I last went to Chez François!! And yet, everything is perfect, delicious, and so fresh and flavorful. Oysters of unparalleled delicacy, truly homemade cuisine preparing delectable baby squid, pasta with clams, and so much more. To top it all off, amazing value for money and an excellent, warm welcome.

09/12/2025: Good evening. We went there this Saturday. The atmosphere was just okay. Unfortunately, the restaurant has lost its charm with the new decor, which is certainly modern but has no connection to Leon's origins (beaches, Belgium, the name of all the mussel dishes). The aprons on each server used to give a nice, local touch from the north. Before, we had a wide selection of mussels (more than ten) and waffles too. Now there are only four or five mussel dishes, no more seafood, and a few other dishes, but nothing special. The casserole size has been reduced, as has the portion of fries. And the beer selection is limited to three amber beers. The famous Leon waffle/Grandpa Leon waffle is no longer available, even though we came specifically for it. The waitress was pleasant, but nothing more. I think the new designers are trying to appeal to a younger clientele (I'm one of them, but they've missed the mark) with a rather bland atmosphere. The Hawaiian/beach theme has nothing to do with what was presented before... it could have been improved, but we were disappointed; there were other ideas they could have used. So, we've been coming for years, but frankly, we won't be back because we're disappointed with the choice.

18/09/2024: Nous avons eu du mal à trouver un restaurant qui ne soit pas crêpes ou burgers et sommes tombés par hasard sur cet endroit surprenant par son accueil, générosité (amuse gueule pour mettre en bouche, nappe en tissu, ramassage des miettes avant dessert) et le plus important : plats succulents,(même le pain est délicieux ) et bien présentés. Nous avons été ravis de notre choix . À conseiller.

06/12/2025: This was my second time eating at this restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I had monkfish with curry sauce. I liked the atmosphere and the service was very quick. The waiters were friendly. In short, it's an excellent restaurant that I happily recommend.

11/11/2025: Restaurant with a magnificent view of Pors Ar Vag beach… The menu is a bit pricey for what's offered, and the food is rather bland, lacking in "oomph"…. I'll try it again someday so as not to leave with a bad memory.

29/10/2025: We had a very good lunch. All the dishes were high quality and the price was fair. One small drawback: the service could have been a little friendlier.

29/06/2025: Very good!! We were very well received. The only downside was that we ate near a window in the full sun... it was a bit unpleasant, but it's just a suggestion if you could put sunshades on the windows. 🙂

An excellent meal with quality ingredients, beautifully presented on each plate, and excellent wines 🍷, all for €25 for a full menu. Served with a smile 😃 We'll definitely be back. 28/09/2024: I like the architecture of the building from the outside which is atypical and original. Then going around it we discover a pretty terrace in the shade. A small, tasty home-cooked menu. For all tastes, seafood or grilled meats, all a la plancha. Simple and effective. Good value for money.
