25/07/2026: Huge disappointment. We're not tourists, so we won't be back, which is a real shame. The setting is indeed pretty, but we waited 10 minutes for a menu, then for water, and finally 20 minutes in total. Remember, it's hot, so it's really not pleasant. The real problem is paying €23.50 for a dish that's the size of a starter! It took us 4 minutes to eat the contents of the plate—barely two tablespoons of rice at the bottom of the dish—and frankly, it wasn't good, just average. Given that the waiters weren't as friendly as the reviews here on Google suggest, I suppose we were just unlucky! It was a very expensive bill, and we were still hungry when we left. Given the price of the meal, we stopped there, and for the first time in our lives, we went to McDonald's after leaving the restaurant. I'd never done that before, and I hope I never have an experience like that again. I'm really disgusted to have paid so much for such a terrible experience.

28/08/2026: A bit annoying when you have looked at the menu from home, that it does not match what is in the restaurant. One waiter who knew a little English. 5 people chose a 3 course menu - the last one chose a main course and dessert, got a small appetizer while the rest of us got a starter - it was a nice gesture. Nice courtyard to sit in.

30/08/2026: Five stars. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Le Maquis in Montpellier is the real thing. We ordered the yassa de poulet and the choukouya de poulet, and both were excellent. The yassa is chicken simmered in a pile of sweet caramelized onions with lemon, mustard, peppers and olives. Tangy, a little sweet, and the sauce soaks into the rice. Comforting and bright at the same time. The choukouya is the grilled Ivorian-styled chicken. Smoky, well-spiced, with that street-food char and tender meat. Add the dynamite hot sauce and it really wakes the whole plate up. Heat with flavour 🔥, not just burn. Cassandra looked after us. Super hospitable, friendly, beautiful smile, and she made us feel properly welcome. We’ll be back. Thank you for the Le Maquis team 👏👏👏

We dined on the terrace, enjoying a delicious exotic amuse-bouche with freshly baked baguette, followed by duck breast with a "magic sauce," which was truly magical. The "smart menu" for under €30 was perfect, featuring an exquisite Thai curry. We highly recommend this excellent restaurant with its very pleasant waitresses.

12/06/2026: This was my second time at Casa Belle. It's a fantastic place, surrounded by greenery! The welcome is very warm. In this 200-year-old house, you feel a great sense of serenity. Each room has its own unique character. They are tastefully renovated with quality materials, preserving original features and adding artistic touches. Breakfast on the terrace, with pear clafoutis and homemade jams, adds to the feeling of well-being! I discovered an exceptional place and I will definitely return. Myrtha Martinet

05/06/2026: You can tell how good a place is by its breakfast. No boring buffet or terrible concentrated juices here. Sitting on the lovely terrace in the sunshine it was such a refreshing change to be served homemade jams, freshly made juice, great coffee and best of all a delicious clafoutis tart. The best I’ve had.
