08/12/2024: Very warm welcome, 100% friendly staff, the kitchens had just closed but we were offered very nice aperitifs.
03/12/2024: Excellent accueil et repas fait maison (bœuf bourguignon succulent et mousse au chocolat parsemée de noisettes à tomber par terre). On n’oublie pas la petite bière maison aux agrumes juste magnifique. Le cadre fait vieux bistro d’antan et on s’y sent très bien.

17/09/2024: Le restaurant est chaleureux, le personnel hyper accueillant et la nourriture copieuse et pleine de goût, attendez vous à ne pas finir votre assiette !!
Foncez sur le tartare grillé c’est une folie !
17/08/2024: This is the perfect French steak eating experience and excellent value for money. There are some negative reviews but like the steaks served, a pinch of salt is required. All cultures do steak differently and this is how the French do it. Have the entrecôte, ask for a wine recommendation and enjoy. And book - unless you’re a solo diner, in which case get there for 7.30pm for a warm welcome!

01/10/2024: I have eaten at La Scala several times; the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The dishes are delicious, but the downside for the pasta dishes: I find that there really isn't enough pasta each time, I'm left wanting more.
28/09/2024: Fairly good atmosphere, too bad the dishes are not seasoned enough and disappointment when cashing, no commercial gesture or reduction on the bill despite a small error from a server who did not do it on purpose.

23/09/2024: We loved our dinner at Le Chien Jaune! The barrata di bufala was especially delicious! The maquereau had a fabulous sauce, and, of course, profiterole is always my favorite. The whole atmosphere was friendly and inviting.
23/09/2024: The ideal bistro, warm, copious fresh produce and home cooking. Well chosen local wines. I'm going back tomorrow 😉

22/09/2024: Véritable scandale, le site précise que le Restaurant sert jusqu’à 22 heures, après une heure de route, je me présente à 21h, et je me fais gentiment ramener à la porte en me disant que certes le restaurant sert jusqu’à 22 heures mais à table jusqu’à 21 heures, car à partir de 21 heures, ce ne sont que des livraisons. Cela est un véritable scandale, je déconseille fortement
09/09/2024: We went to dinner by chance in this small pizzeria in the center of St Avertin and the discovery was very pleasant. Really great pizza recipe, unbeatable value for money, I recommend the house beer (really homemade!!) and very friendly team.

05/09/2024: Superbly maintained castle with beautiful terraces including an Italian one, with a magnificent park! Good quality room. The dishes are succulent, refined, served by impeccable, discreet and friendly professionals. The breakfast is copious, accompanied by excellent products. To conclude, we were able to enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, sufficiently equipped with parasols and deckchairs. Great!
01/09/2024: We stayed at the castle and particularly appreciated the family, relaxing atmosphere of the place.
Attentive staff, high quality breakfast, gourmet cuisine with a sublime chocolate dessert
We highly recommend this place.

Propriétaires et serveurs sont prévenants, plein d’humour et à l’écoute de la clientèle dans une ambiance décontractée. Le menu du jour était copieux, très bon et servi sans attente. Nous avons apprécié également le conseil pour le choix du vin.
14/09/2024: Nous y étions mardi dernier pour un déjeuner. Très bon accueil, un menu du jour de qualité, copieux et très bon, dans un cadre sympathique et confortable que je recommande. Très bon rapport qualité prix et un service rapide.

10/04/2024: Exceptional quality of food and drinks.
The meat cooked over a wood fire is a delight and every little detail (seasoning, accompaniment) is a treat!
The old setting with its fireplace, its tarare and its wheel is remarkable!
I highly recommend and thank the restaurateur for his kindness and sense of service!
