03/07/2026: A 10/10 restaurant!! We went as a family and Sephora served us. She's an incredible and professional person, one of the few left in the restaurant business. She helped us choose everything, even though we don't speak French and she doesn't speak English. As for the food, it was simply spectacular, the fondue was incredible and the raclette magnificent. A must-visit if you're in Tours. French Version. A fantastic restaurant!!! 31/07/2026: An annual (or even biannual) stopover, this is our favorite inn...our go-to meal is tagine or couscous... The owner welcomes us with a smile, her eldest son lends a hand in the kitchen...and lunch unfolds in perfect serenity. A much-needed break on the banks of the Loire...do as we did, take a seat and let yourself be tempted! Take your time...Those who shout to grab a quick bite...move along! Here, we take our time and chat! Thank you to this delightful family for hosting us!

05/08/2026: Honestly, I just went for a drink and I didn't enjoy it. The price of the drink, with half the amount of ice, is just highway robbery! So I won't go there to eat for fear of being disappointed... knowing there are plenty of pubs nearby, I'll choose another place!

08/08/2026: We ate lunch at this restaurant on Saturday. We agree with another review: very poor value for money. 19 euros for a piece of beef with a little salad and 6 or 7 half new potatoes is outrageous. 17 euros for a huge salad, 4 slices of melon (very good, admittedly), 3 tiny slices of ham, and 4 canned asparagus spears is also overpriced. In total, with 3 small slices of cheese for one of us and a small chocolate cake for the other, plus a beer, the bill came to 52 euros. This is excessive for the quantity and quality of the food. We do not recommend it. Perhaps during the week, as it seems the prices are lower.

07/06/2026: We stayed at this hotel for a spa break at La Roche-Posay because the hotel offers discounted rates. It's a real gem, very charming. It's located in the center of Yzeures-sur-Creuse, a small, traditional town with a few shops. A car is necessary to get around (10 minutes from La Roche-Posay). The Relais is very spacious, tastefully decorated in a traditional style, and very comfortable. There are several small lounges for reading, relaxing, playing games, or having coffee or tea... a gym, and coffee and water machines throughout... The room was pleasant, bright, and clean, tastefully decorated. It was well-equipped with a Dolce Gusto machine, TV, hairdryer, towel warmer, large shower with toiletries, and air conditioning... It's quite quiet at night, both inside and out. Everyone has their own preferences. For us, the curtains weren't dark enough, we were woken up at the crack of dawn, the bedding wasn't to our liking, and the pillows were too flat, but everyone has their own habits. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and everything was very good. At the restaurant, everything is homemade, and a large portion of the breakfast is too—it's all very high quality. The staff is helpful, friendly, and very pleasant. Special mention goes to Madeline, with whom I exchanged numerous emails to prepare for our stay, and who was absolutely perfect. A place we would gladly recommend!

28/07/2026: It looks expensive, but after our visit, we can say that the value for money is excellent. The ice cream is fantastic and exceptionally well-made. Only 4 stars because the hot waffles were just so-so. The ice cream deserves 5 stars.

24/07/2026: Great little restaurant in a pretty village. The three of us arrived early without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table outside. We received a very warm welcome. The service was impeccable, the dishes were superb, and we had a truly excellent meal. Thank you for the warm welcome and the delicious food.

09/08/2026: It was open, the only bar/restaurant with people eating, and they only gave us drinks, not even a plate of chips. They came out and gave a couple the menu. That's not how it's done...

02/08/2026: This isn't the first time we've eaten at this restaurant, and each time we've received a warm welcome. The service is simply perfect, and the waiters are incredibly kind. Add to that the fact that the food is simply delicious. The dishes truly transport you. Moreover, the portions are just right. Le Palais du Raja remains the best restaurant in Tours, both for its exceptionally good cuisine and for the service where we are always pampered. ☺️

The owner is lovely, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. A truly convivial moment in a comfortable setting.
