20/07/2026: Slow service. We ordered four meals, everything was fine until the desserts: we ordered three coffee milkshakes and one vanilla, but we ended up with three vanilla and one strawberry. We used the drive-thru, so we weren't going to make the trip back. This isn't the first time there have been mistakes. We check every time, but having to taste the desserts becomes a problem, especially since they're all white, making it impossible to tell what they taste like.

19/07/2026: A disaster! McDonald's has already become pure garbage, but when you have a kid nagging you to eat there... you have no choice... Anyway, the service was awful, everything was filthy for a Sunday evening, the ashtray was full of food, so where am I supposed to put my cigarette butt? I went in, sat down at a table, used McDonald's+ to order, and thanks to the daily special, I got a free McFlurry. Perfect, I placed my order. The person (a grumpy young man) at the counter told me I wouldn't get my ice cream because their machine was broken... fine! I came all the way here to take advantage of this offer. Oh well, I asked to substitute it with any dessert, and he told me NO, impossible! We don't do that here... false advertising, and then McDonald's complains about Burger King ads that are making fun of them? I'd be the first to spread the word against McDonald's, especially the one in Loches. And then this kind of kid gets a contract at McDonald's, thinking he's superior to the customers, while other poor kids looking for work don't even stand a chance... At 37, I'm obviously not talking about myself, but about a general situation. This opinion is certainly justified in giving a reprimand, because if you want me to raise my hand and say, "I swear..." I swear to you that everything is exactly as described. Loches... surely the most beautiful city in the world, and on top of that, this experience... thanks Waze for sending me here... AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

18/07/2026: We came for lunch today with our two daughters and it was perfect... The food was absolutely delicious... The staff were lovely; we ordered one dish for both of our daughters and they were able to separate everything ;) Absolutely fantastic... I highly recommend it...

14/07/2026: My first experience ordering in-store with home delivery, and I'll never do it again. The delivery was delayed day after day without any notification from the carrier, the online chat customer service was useless, and it was impossible to reach the store by phone. I've never seen anything like it, especially from a brand as reputable as Ikea, with whom I've never had any problems before. I hope to be reimbursed for the correct amount (I should mention that I had to send the order confirmation to the chat because the amount quoted was incorrect). It's a real shame they don't invest in a local, high-quality customer service. This would be far more effective than an opaque platform and bots or agents who send scripted or AI-generated messages that don't address customer requests.

27/01/2026: I went to eat lunch today, there were very few fries. The piece of meat was too small. In my opinion, it said on the board that it was a 200g piece of beef, I was told that the pieces were standardized at 180g, but there wasn't even 180g.

26/07/2026: We visited this café with friends a few days ago. We initially came to eat, but we were quickly put off by the rudeness and lack of respect shown by the staff and the manager, who was about as welcoming as a prison guard. So we just had a drink, where we witnessed a manager barking at her employees and staff demanding payment without thanking customers. The location is certainly nice, but there are far better places to experience Chinon if you want to truly appreciate it.

22/07/2026: The waitress who led us to the table was very nice and welcoming. However, the waiter who came to take our order afterwards was curt and looked at us suspiciously when we asked for a coffee each and a dessert tart to share. We were then required to pay immediately, which felt like they wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible. This was despite the fact that the terrace was not full and it was just past lunchtime. Finally, the tarte tartin we ate here was delicious, but the cappuccino (small cup and for €3.90!) tasted like nothing.

19/01/2026: This is an informed review following a disastrous experience at this "brasserie." The restaurant boasts a pleasant setting and an attractive storefront, but that's where its appeal ends. The menu offered few dishes, which often suggests homemade cuisine, so we were initially confident. We ordered three appetizers: a kidney puff pastry, a spinach and goat cheese tart, and a country terrine. Our main courses were three duck breasts with orange sauce (an extra €3) and sliced ​​beef with pepper sauce. We also ordered a floating island dessert, a San Pellegrino, and two glasses of St. Nicolas de Bourgueil. The result: a rather spicy puff pastry, a relatively greasy terrine, and a tart replaced by a quiche Lorraine (which was also very salty). We mentioned this, and were told that the chef hadn't informed us. Next up: the duck breast was sinewy and quite tough (a sign of poor quality), roughly sliced ​​lengthwise, and the orange sauce was nonexistent; instead, there was a jar of some kind of stock with leftover shreds of meat to which small pieces of orange had been added. And the side dish was something I'd never seen before: potatoes, lentils, and carrots. A complete mismatch. As for the sliced ​​beef, our daughter ate absolutely nothing, just the salad. The beef was overcooked (resembling boiled meat), and there was no pepper sauce as promised. Faced with this litany of errors, we put an end to the carnage and cancelled dessert. Finally, they don't accept Connect holiday vouchers, only the paper version. The bill came to €95.70. Change the chef or call in Philippe Etchebest… when there’s nobody in a restaurant, you have to ask yourself some questions… (the bistro was taken over under a lease agreement in January 2025, from what I’ve seen)

28/04/2026: Disastrous experience. We ordered click and collect from their website, and as regular customers, we're used to eating Domino's Pizza. The order was ready quickly, but when we arrived, they barely spoke to us and didn't even tell us the price of the pizzas. Furthermore, we ordered pizzas with a classic crust, but we received a thin crust, even though we specifically requested it. Then, the man at the counter charged us the wrong price, €21.79, instead asking for €29.71. In short, we weren't given napkins, and as for the pizza, the sauce had already spilled everywhere before we'd even touched it.

02/06/2026: The location is lovely and Christopher (I could have the gentleman’s name wrong) was delightful. The lady serving us was distinctly unpleasant. While she may only speak French it is body language that makes up 80% of speech. She was unpleasant and made the whole experience uncomfortable. The starters were lovely but the pork very dry. I requested we take our cheese plate back to our hotel and it was put in a container that was covered in dirty greasy hands. Of course we paid for the full dinner, we were not offered to take the desserts home. We are guests, in your country and love to visit France but we are your guests in your restaurant and should be treated with kindness, respect and a little patience.
