22/07/2026: A host this welcoming is a rare find! He was wonderful with our three teenagers, and we were able to enjoy watching football on TV! The full meal for €17.50 is unbeatable in terms of value for money. It included a buffet of starters, various main courses depending on the owner's cooking style, cheese, desserts, and unlimited wine. We had two fantastic evenings at this restaurant, and we'll gladly return if we're ever in the area again.

18/07/2026: Very disappointing Routier. The buffet salad to start was very unappetising. We weren't offered a choice of main, just had a plate of meat balls and chips put in front of us, then told that was it, cheese if we wanted it for a desert. No offer of wine or any drinks with the meal. I don't mind paying for decent food, but twenty euros for that rubbish and a bottle of beer, I felt ripped off. It's a shame as there is reasonable parking and a public loo outside, which is handy. Facilities (toilets and shower) very dated, probably best not use.

31/07/2026: A (very, too?) small all-you-can-eat buffet. Upon arrival, we hesitated to enter the "Ciecle" d'Or... The windows are dark and the location isn't very inviting. However, once inside, we received a very warm welcome! The food was good, but the buffet was really sparsely stocked. We won't be returning to this restaurant on our way back from vacation.

19/07/2026: The only thing missing to make it a 4-star restaurant is fries. Really cool waitress.

24/07/2026: The owner gave us a very cold welcome. Not a smile. We were clearly not welcome.

16/07/2026: A fantastic brasserie I stumbled upon. Pleasant atmosphere, really nice decor (even in the restrooms). They only offer daily specials on a chalkboard menu, using fresh ingredients. Everything is homemade. A real treat! 😋

21/07/2026: The mussels marinière were okay, but not a generous portion for nearly €18. The piece of meat was good, but the Roquefort sauce was runny and not enough. A glass of Sancerre cost €6.90 and was NOT good at all! In short, two dishes, a beer, a Coke, and a wine came to €56.90 because of an error on the bill—an extra drink not ordered. Not bad, but overpriced. That's probably the place; we won't go back. The service was friendly, and the waiter was nice.

12/07/2026: We had an amazing experience at Le Bouchon Tourangeau in Tours. Before coming, we saw some negative Google reviews, but our experience was completely different — this place was wonderful! The atmosphere truly brought us back to the spirit of a classical bouchon-style restaurant: warm, authentic, and full of character. The menu offers great choices of entrée, plat, and dessert, with traditional flavors done very well. We started with the escargots, which were served hot, beautifully fragrant, and absolutely delicious. The beef bourguignon was the highlight — the beef was incredibly tender, and the sauce was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The steak with frites was also excellent. We enjoyed a nice selection of wine that paired perfectly with the meal. The staff were kind and attentive. They may not be the most expressive with smiles, but their service was efficient and thoughtful — we never had to wait, and every staff member made sure we were well taken care of. A great place to enjoy authentic bouchon-style cuisine in Tours. We highly recommend Le Bouchon Tourangeau and would happily come back again!

05/08/2026: A resounding success for this family dinner: Reine pizza, tagliatelle carbonara, and ribeye steak with Roquefort sauce. EXCELLENT! We were celebrating our child's birthday, and they made the effort to turn off the lights and light a candle. Highly recommended!

07/07/2026: For our daughter's surprise birthday party, we chose Papaye. They gave us excellent advice. The managers are very welcoming, friendly, and attentive to their customers. The cocktails are excellent. The platters are a real treat. A fantastic DJ who created a great atmosphere. A big thank you to the whole team for your warm welcome and professionalism. 30/06/2026: Disappointing! A €40 buffet that doesn't include any cold drinks, except for a simple syrup and water, but that's not the worst of it. What's really unacceptable is the selection and quantity. The choice is extremely limited, and when something is sold out, well, tough luck, it's not replaced. At this price, that's unacceptable. It's a shame because the place itself is lovely, in a beautiful setting!

31/07/2026: Very nice location, food was fine. Staff were nice, one a bit grumpy but ultimately nice.

22/07/2026: I sat down to have a beer and watch the people in the square. I ordered a type of salami that came whole on a wooden board with a knife, I thought it was strange but it makes sense. Cutting it right before eating is better. The waiter was attentive and every time I ordered something I had to pay when he served it. Practical and functional.

22/07/2026: A very good brasserie, with high-quality food. Good cuisine with a good selection and reasonable prices. And a lovely terrace overlooking the square.

07/08/2026: We arrived at 8:53 PM, and were told it was over (it's not clear what it was over), they didn't explain anything - and the website says the place is open until 10:00 PM. There was seating, and they brought out pizzas from the kitchen. It sucks because it looked like a promising place
