03/09/2024: The dishes are getting colder and colder. The service leaves something to be desired I order in clicks and collect, I have to check on site if I have the right order because I often miss dishes. Some servers are rude.

21/11/2024: Christophe Roure and his team gave us a great moment of conviviality and taste. The wax-cooked Arctic char and the wood-fired Wagyu blackmore beef are pure marvels of originality and flavors. All complemented by quality service. A truly recommendable establishment.

29/01/2026: An absolutely charming restaurant that, despite the variety of excellent restaurants in Lyon, has its own unique style. So much so that even a quick glance through its window made us want to visit. We were the first customers that evening, so there was no rush, no noise, no fuss. The dishes were served quickly and were exquisitely delicious.

16/01/2026: If you're looking for a bar to relax in, this isn't the place. Upon arrival, despite the bar being empty, you're immediately seated at a table next to the only two other people already there. The table is wobbly, and the atmosphere is so dark you need your phone's flashlight to read the menu. The cocktails are good, but nothing special. The waitress is pushy; you're asked for more drinks as soon as you've had a sip. I hope other people complain about this waitress's attitude, like Julia Ré's post which described it very well. These people should find another job. Anyway, they changed waitresses before the end, which was nice. I'm not sure I'll be back; the quieter terrace is definitely worth it, at least you can choose your seat. Not recommended.

22/01/2026: A very good experience. The food is delicious and expertly prepared, with perfectly balanced seasonings that truly enhance the dishes. You can taste the care taken with the flavors and the quality of the preparation. The service is also excellent: professional, pleasant, and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

15/01/2026: A return visit today to this establishment that I've enjoyed for several years. The food is flavorful and delicious. A great menu with something for everyone. The place is well-run by the very welcoming owner and her team. Affordable prices for generous portions and simple but delicious glasses of wine. A friendly restaurant that has become my second home. Thank you for your hospitality.

07/07/2025: Genuinely some of the worst food I’ve ever had. The food was almost pure fat and was very expensive. Was a very memorable meal for all the wrong reasons. Food took a long time to come (ordered the prefix menu). The service was extremely snobby and didn’t speak english. Somehow they couldn’t understand the google translate to french either and brought a well done piece of lamb when I asked for medium rare. Surprised they would let a dish like that leave the kitchen - don’t let the pictures fool you! Given the reputation of food in Lyon this was more than a disappointment and I’d go as far to say it was an embarrassment to the city. The only way it could have been worse is if I got food poisoned but thats impossible because nothing edible was served!

26/06/2025: It's impossible to miss its purple storefront, both elegant and unique, a foretaste of what awaits you inside. At Albert, the cuisine is refined, creative, and masterful, with dishes full of meaning and seasonality. The chef offers a personal and modern interpretation of the product, without ever overdoing it. An intimate atmosphere, attentive service, and true consistency from start to finish. A discreet gem in the 1st arrondissement... that fully deserves to be in the spotlight.

09/07/2025: This is the best restaurant in Belleville. In fact I don't think I have ever visited a better one anywhere. Yes, there are more sophisticated, more expensive, more polished places here. But nothing this good. The food is simple, honest, wonderfully cooked, and very reasonably priced. The team, front and back of house, are friendly and welcoming. The clientele is principally local, and loyal.

29/01/2026: A sure thing, time and time again. I come regularly and it's always flawless: an incredibly warm welcome, delicious food, impeccable service, and a truly pleasant atmosphere. And on top of that, the prices are more than reasonable, totally affordable considering the quality offered. Smiles everywhere, you feel comfortable from start to finish. A real pleasure every time, I recommend it without hesitation.

06/11/2025: Impeccable service! You can tell the owners and chefs love their work. How to describe this bistro in the heart of Croix-Rousse? A village bistro atmosphere and delicious, unpretentious cuisine! A menu that changes weekly and remains affordable. We'll be back!
