15/07/2026: Our family arrived from different parts of the world to a family gathering in Lyon. My husband brought me and our three daughters here, a place that means a lot to him since he used to bring his late mother here years ago while visiting Europe. He was excited to share it with the girls, and the reviews online had us expecting a great meal. Sadly, the food didn’t live up to it this time. My husband and I both ordered the steak, and it was tough. My daughters had the chicken, which came out dry. It was disappointing given the reputation and the sentimental reason for our visit. The one bright spot was the service, which was attentive and warm throughout. I hope this was an off night rather than a sign of things slipping. The restaurant was not busy that evening.

12/07/2026: Everything was perfect, from the friendly and professional service to the flavorful dishes. Not trying the famous custard tart would be a crime against the region!

08/07/2026: A small roadside restaurant, impossible to miss. I opted for the platter: tentacles, cuttlefish, and prawns, all drizzled with a subtle and fragrant Sicilian olive oil. The ingredients were fresh and well-prepared. I recommend it.

Everything was fresh and saturated with flavours. Athmosohere there was super homely and calming. Lady on the counter is incredible sweet. So I definetly recommend this place for everyone !

27/05/2026: 5/5 A really great place to get cookie dough! You have multiple options and can order it similarly to ice cream (different cup sizes and different flavors). I tried two of the flavors including their classic cookie dough, with nutella drizzled on top. My brother opted for the hot cookie in a cup. Both were really delicious. It's a good portion size and definitely a little heavy (I ate my cookie dough in two sittings)! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a decadent sweet treat.

19/07/2026: We've been ordering from Ahika regularly for years and have always appreciated the quality of their meals, which remain consistently excellent. Unfortunately, this latest experience has led us to stop ordering. The delivery service is completely unacceptable in 2026. It's inexcusable that a delivery driver doesn't have a card payment terminal or any change for cash, especially since we specifically stated in our order that we would pay in cash. We presented €150 for a €135 order, but the driver claimed he didn't have any change. After gathering all the money we had, we were left with €9. Instead of finding a solution, the owner returned almost an hour later to demand this amount, even threatening to call the police. The situation became utterly absurd, with an incomprehensible display of behavior, when everything could have been avoided with a card payment terminal or simply some cash on hand. It's a real shame, because the quality of the food doesn't make up for such deplorable service. They've lost loyal customers due to delivery and payment management that is no longer acceptable.

28/02/2026: A particularly friendly welcome, but also a fantastic meal! The starter, the Egg Cocotte with Auvergne Blue Cream, was truly delicious. The Beef Tartare was tasty but also presented with care. My wife had a Cabillaud on a bed of ratatouille and had to think long and hard about when she had ever had such a delicious meal. For dessert, we chose the Crème Brûlée, which we hadn't encountered in years. In short, highly recommended!

06/06/2026: Tastes are very subjective, it's true, but for me, this is the best ramen in France! Having not been to Japan long enough, I wouldn't dare say the world, but in my heart, it's practically the same ;) The broth, the quantity, the ingredients, and the balance of flavors are perfectly executed, right down to the dessert (matcha tiramisu being a standout). Another testament to its quality: the restaurant has been around for almost 15 years!! I've been a regular since it opened and I've never been disappointed. Although I no longer live in Lyon, I love making pilgrimages back :) So, if you love ramen, go without hesitation, and if you're new to ramen, this is the best place to discover it ❤️ Long live Okawali!
