24/05/2026: Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly, and most importantly—something that's rare—the prices are affordable with impeccable food quality! (€13.40 for lunch: miso soup + rice + coleslaw + 6 salmon and avocado California rolls + 6 salmon maki rolls is literally unbeatable, especially in the 6th arrondissement. They also generously offered me a free drink.) I highly recommend it!! ✨

27/08/2026: Absolutely love this bar. Our 1st visit was February 2024, where we had a lovely sunny afternoon eating oysters & drinking wine in the February sunshine.
Due to my dad’s visits to France from Arizona we have only been able to visit at the end of august since then and the seafood is out of season until September. Fabulous meal in the bistro last year but a fabulous surprise early opening tonight for L’escalier. We enjoyed fabulous oysters, tuna rillette and mussels. Made our trip!!!

05/09/2026: The owner is extremely ill-mannered and clearly displays a dismissive attitude toward Asians. We went as a group and ordered coffee, but they didn't answer. Thinking they hadn't heard, I repeated myself, and they suddenly lost their temper.
Then, they placed all six ordered cups of coffee in front of me and left.
It was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable.
25/08/2026: An extraordinary restaurant. A truly unique visual identity, an owner, a waiter, a chef—the perfect combination for a timeless evening in Old Lyon. Delicious, traditional Lyonnais cuisine with a modern twist. What more can I say? Thank you.

10/09/2026: Discovered this place on TikTok for its famous octopus, so we ordered the "Peace of Appetite" set menu with foie gras, octopus, and dessert. Everything was very good. The only slight downside was the fries, which were soggy and too greasy for my taste. But I would recommend this restaurant because the food is very good, the desserts are excellent, the welcome is warm, and our waitress was really very, very kind. I will go back to try other dishes.
30/08/2026: We came as a family; the restaurant was cozy and pleasant. We ate on the terrace, which was very enjoyable. The staff was excellent, and above all, the food was top-notch. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

01/09/2026: The food is very good, no complaints there. However, I find the prices quite high. The service also needs improvement: the staff are rather cold and not very friendly, which unfortunately doesn't make you feel very comfortable. It's a shame, because a warm welcome is just as important as the quality of the food and could really enhance the experience.
12/08/2026: I've been coming here for four years, but it's not the same as it is today. The portions have become stingy, especially for a €14 kebab meal. Otherwise, it's very fast.

The wine was great, so were the starters.
As an area of improvement: I would think about enhancing the beer menu - like adding a good IPA.

17/09/2026: Restaurant tried after a show. I arrived late but was still accepted, which is definitely one of the real pluses. The location also plays a big part in its appeal. Otherwise, the experience is more mixed. The pizzas are good, but far from generous. For a pizza at this price, you expect more quality and quantity.
The service was still quick and the servers were friendly.
16/09/2026: 45 minutes for a dish that's also overcooked and full of oil. Avoid!

It will be the last.
There were only 3 tables in the dining room!
Starter: terrine... No preparation required, just presentation...
The starters took 50 minutes to arrive!
The portions have been reduced, which is a real shame.
This used to be our favorite little restaurant on the slopes...

The salads are generous and very fresh! You can taste the quality of the ingredients.
I recommend it!
23/08/2026: Forgotten glasses, forgotten bread, forgotten wine, forgotten desserts. Hours of waiting for meager, unremarkable dishes served on plates that were impractical for cutting your meat or appetizer. Even the checkout was a farce, making you wonder if it was a hidden camera prank. And on top of all that, it wasn't cheap.
