08/12/2024: Friendly setting and welcoming staff to be highlighted, even on a busy evening like for the Festival of Lights Original cuisine, a huge choice of beers with the wise advice of the waiter, in short a great experience, I highly recommend

01/12/2024: We ate one weekend evening, it was delicious. Both burgers were really good with good meat. We will come back without any problem!

13/09/2024: Rough service and major supply issue - unclear if this was a one-time bad day or if perennial issue. --- Visiting the Halles on a Sunday and wanted to have a simple, nice sit-down lunch with a friend outside. We were warned before sitting that there were a few menu items that were 'out' for the day, but did quite realize how many items were unavailable. We each tried to find three or four of the different plates from the menu that seemed most interesting, but once again we noticed they were literally all out. From there we asked instead just to have drinks, but we were told we would have to leave our table and pushed awkwardly to the outside. Once pushed to the outside, we were unable to get any service beside the initial drink we ordered at the table. While food looked good and drinks were fine, it was disappointing to be given poor service AFTER we tried our best to order several different food things. I understand supply issues happen. But my unsolicited recommendation to the restaurant is that rather than put up all the things you do not have on a blackboard away from the table, perhaps just create a new menu for the day that is more limited and clear.

30/09/2024: This is the second time I come to this cafe. The first time I had a bad experience so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. We arrived 40min before closing and sat at one of the tables. The main female waiter seemed super busy so we politely waited to be served. Nothing happened for 10min. I called the second waiter to tell her that we wanted to order and she said "ok", but no one came to our table. 10min passed and I decided to stand up to go to the comptoir to place my order. The woman at the bar told me they were closing (it was 20min before closing) and she wouldn't serve us. I had to tell her that we had been waiting for 20min and she said that she'd made an exception and -annoyed- she asked me what we wanted (she has the right to be annoyed, but HEY we've also been waiting for a while now!). I ordered 2 teas but she refused to serve us the tiramisu we wanted to try. We drank our teas and as people started to leave the waitress that I called to order, came and told us the museum was closing. We were almost done with the teas so we sped up a little. Later a man came and told us "The museum has been closed for 10 minutes already, we are close now" in an unpleasant tone. I said thank you, finished our teas, and left. My advice: The service industry is under tons of recruiting stress which is clearly the cause of their current service; so come to the garden with your snacks (the food is ok but the service makes you feel like you're an inconvenience) to enjoy the garden at your own peace. No need to spend energy ordering at the cafe for now.

26/09/2024: Being a regular at this place I had stopped coming for a while because I no longer appreciated the service I came occasionally, today I met Simon the new manager I would like to point out that Simon is very professional so I will come back more often thanks to Simon for his professionalism

21/08/2024: Lunch with a child. Not great French fries, cut to pieces, for a child, not great. A Cesar salad without cheese, 4 chicken nuggets, salad with large pieces of rib. Crossroads sauce. A Lyonnaise salad with bacon as big as your arm and even carouf sauce. The icing on the cake, an ice cream for the child. In an adult cup so above the child's head once placed on the table. And a hair in the cut. In the end, very disappointed.

29/06/2025: Rouge Gorge is, above all, an immersion... into a world where the rules of hygiene seem to have been abandoned. Glasses artistically decorated with limestone, questionable cutlery: a true return to basics. Special mention should be made of the restrooms, which offer a rare olfactory spectacle for a multi-sensory experience not to be missed. The service, meanwhile, immerses us in a chic prison atmosphere: absent smiles, bored looks... it's as if we were there. An innovative concept! As for the food, the salad has undoubtedly seen better days; the bacon was fresh from a bath, and the croutons paid homage to SpongeBob SquarePants. But I still admit the poached egg was a success. In short, Rouge Gorge isn't a restaurant; it's an experience. One of those you have once in a lifetime and quickly forget. Thank you for this moment.

22/07/2024: A very nice discovery during our Lyon getaway. The products are very good. The store is clean which attracted us with the curiosity of Lebanese and Armenian dishes. Almost disappointed not to have discovered it sooner!

16/07/2024: Great, never disappointed, the only criticism is the prices, and even being a loyal customer (white and French, that works too), never the slightest gift, despite 40-50€ of purchase for 2 people, REGULARLY... otherwise good address...

09/01/2025: More than ten years that I have been frequenting the establishment occasionally, always the same, superior quality, by far the best Kebab in Lyon. Super nice person.

08/09/2024: Very warm staff. Excellent home-made meal, even the foie gras. Excellent beers. Very pleasant terrace possible. Too bad it's no longer possible to have dinner in the evening since covid due to lack of staff, they told me, so we can no longer go there

20/09/2024: I have eaten at many Thai restaurants in Lyon, and this restaurant is the best I have ever eaten. Whether it is the most basic ordinary menu or the special dishes, they are all very tempting! Although this store has relatively few employees, the food service is not slow at all, and the kitchen looks very clean, far exceeding the standards of most family restaurants! The food quality and portions are very good. I will come again next time!

04/09/2024: Ben oui, c'est la première fois que cela nous arrive, on s'est trompé de restaurant. On avait réservé chez son voisin et un début de pluie, un moment d'inattention et on s'est trompé. Alors le cadre est très agréable, le service efficace et souriant, moins cher que son voisin, mais la carte est plus simple, moins élaborée. Un gros bémol avec les entrées chaudes qui sont arrivées 1 minute après notre apéritif ! Nous y avons quand même passé un bon moment malgré les grande tables familiales et les gamins qui font un caprice pour un rien, qui courent dans tous les sens et leur parents qui ne réagissent pas.
