31/01/2026: A charming little authentic bar-restaurant, just the way we like them. Bar des Sports is family-run, and you can feel it from the moment you arrive: kindness, generosity, and genuine simplicity. The food is home-style, unpretentious, but truly enjoyable and made with love. I usually eat my ribeye steak there. I'm never disappointed. The flank steak is also excellent, according to my son. It's a place where you want to relax, take your time, and feel right at home. A lovely terrace that, on sunny days, gives it a touch of Marcel Pagnol-esque romance. The homemade desserts are simply wow.... Everything is impeccable. A place we love and wholeheartedly endorse. A great spot in Pignans, warm and genuine. Go there. Owen.z

06/12/2025: We waited 40 minutes to order drinks, and were served 20 minutes later with two platters of shellfish for 10 people. There were about ten mussels and 12 prawns from the northern section, all of normal size and tiny. The platters looked like leftovers; there was practically nothing left. We even had to ask for water and bread, which are basic necessities when a customer arrives. One waiter was attending to two tables (presumably people he knew). As for us, we were treated like tourists, and the bill was exorbitant. In conclusion, if you want a relaxing evening, not in a canteen, find another restaurant. Avoid this place at all costs: the service, the shellfish dinner, etc.

13/04/2026: Perfect homemade food prepared by the owner. Generous portions. One small drawback: the fresh bread tasted like supermarket bread, which was a shame. Anyway, everything else was perfect, we'll be back.
05/04/2026: We stumbled upon this little restaurant completely by chance during a motorcycle ride and were not disappointed, pleasant welcome, very kind and friendly staff, fresh products, therefore limited, do not hesitate but remember to book in advance.

15/04/2026: A lovely atmosphere and good local cuisine. Having had pizza for lunch in Toulon, I opted for the tasting menu. The fish soup was excellent, the octopus stew quite good, but not spicy enough for my taste. A very good Côtes de Provence rosé, and a complimentary limoncello at the end. The coffee was also excellent. We'll be back for the pizzas!

14/03/2026: We went there for the first time; we'd heard about it from friends and family. It was a real treat! The salad was generous, as was the meat dish (venison with morels). I highly recommend it. A very warm welcome.
14/03/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant. The dishes pictured include a salad with warm goat cheese and honey, and venison with morels served with vegetables and homemade fries. For dessert, there's caramel ice cream with caramel sauce and whipped cream. A true delight for the taste buds! The service was also very good. I'll definitely be back... 😊

08/05/2026: A lovely little terrace near the main square in Salernes. Fresh ingredients; we had two salads with cheese fritters—delicious! Homemade desserts too 🥰. The town is charming, and this little crêperie is well worth a visit. Bonus: the owner's kindness and warm welcome! Very friendly 😊
06/05/2026: Passing through Salerno on Sunday, we stopped to eat at this crêperie. We received a very warm welcome, the galettes were excellent and very generously filled. I highly recommend it and will keep the address for next time! 👍

20/04/2026: Found this excellent restaurant and didn't regret giving it a go. It had only just opened for the evening so was very quiet, but that didn't detract from an excellent meal. We chose to share the Planche de Chacutere to start, which was excellent and then we both had Sea Bass, which had been cooked over the coals, in the restaurant. The fish were a beautifully cooked and bigger than what is generally served at home. I finished off with a Crème Brulée which was great The service was excellent and really made us feel at home. Thank you.
17/04/2026: Excellent… we were received after 10pm after an evening at the theatre… with a smile… ribs cooked over a wood fire… goat cheese salad… and the profiterole was out of this world with its delicious melted chocolate… thank you for your welcome….

30/11/2025: First of all, over the past few years we've dined at every restaurant in the Pays de Fayence region several times. Every single one, without exception, sometimes with friends or with our association, but we have a pretty good grasp of the local culinary scene. So much so that we could write a guidebook... We were at Carré d'Ange for the third time in three years. The first two times, we were blown away and even ranked this temple of gastronomy among the top 5 restaurants in the Pays de Fayence, including Terre Blanche. Alas, last night was a disappointment! Only two tables were occupied on a Saturday night, ours by the fireplace, which was still very pleasant. The welcome was quite decent, provided by a waitress and a young sommelier. A limited menu, which is usually a good sign. The waitress highly recommended the rabbit à la royale (in tiny print hidden on the menu: a €20 supplement on the €79 set menu, honestly!). In the end, we chose starters (quite good, let's say 18/20) and pigeon (very small), and a veal dish that was incredibly tough! You practically needed a saw to cut those pieces. Unacceptable! On the positive side: plenty of amuse-bouches, a veritable cascade of words explaining every precious detail of the dish, a truly magnificent dessert, a large cheese platter from a supplier in Châteaudouble, and a good wine list ranging from €40 to €2200. In short: the meat left a bad taste in our mouths! Unacceptable for a fine restaurant. A lot of fuss for food that was just okay, nothing more, and downright bad in the case of the veal. There's clearly an imbalance between the usual high-end service and such poor cooking!
