14/08/2026: I ordered duck in confit. The order arrived quickly. The mashed potatoes were cold, and the duck was tough. I simply had nothing to compare it to, and the check took a long time to arrive. Apparently, I chose a very touristy place where they don't pay much attention to the quality of the food and service.

14/08/2026: Such a shame... we arrived here without (unfortunately) reading the reviews. Everything went well, nice setting, quality of the drinks was fine... okay, there was a young waiter who missed regularly, but everyone has to learn their trade, so that didn't bother us at all. Beautiful interior, admittedly a discussion between some staff members when we went to the toilet, but we weren't bothered by that either. On the contrary, as a family, we planned to return together for dinner. Unfortunately, the truth came out when settling the bill. A surly waiter suddenly added 20 percent to the final bill, of which we didn't receive any details by the way: just a much too high amount on the card machine. Only then did we read the reviews to see if we were the only ones... apparently not. It's a pity, because this place would do just fine without this scam. Although this is mentioned multiple times in the reviews, this practice clearly continues among some tourists... bad faith, in other words.... We went to eat somewhere else in the evening and were treated very correctly. No more Café de France for us!

11/06/2026: I like the value for money at this chain. The major drawback is that classic sandwiches like a ham and butter baguette aren't ready at 8:30 am. (Only the more elaborate or hot savory items are available.) It's a shame; I'd like to be able to grab my sandwich on my way to work.

27/05/2026: I went into the Marie Blachère bakery at 12:40 PM. I was just browsing to buy some sandwiches when I heard an elderly woman with glasses yelling at an old man, "WE CAN'T UNDERSTAND A THING YOU'RE SAYING!" as she slammed a coffee cup down on the counter. He asked for sugar, and she replied, "It's right here!" while maintaining her tone. There were at least ten people in the bakery, and that's how you talk to customers?! I'm a sales assistant myself, and if I did that, I'd be reprimanded immediately. Anyway, I left right away and went to another bakery.

24/10/2025: €5 or €7 pizza, take your pick!! I simply urge you to avoid this place. Pizza undercooked in the center and burnt on the outside. You'll end up with a bad case of diarrhea. I wonder how this joint is still standing.

04/10/2025: I was traveling to Nice from China and this was the best Neapolitan pizza I've ever had, well worth the money!

26/06/2026: Friday is aioli day! The cod was perfectly cooked, as were the vegetables. And the aioli sauce was delicious! 😋 The carpaccio and fries were also perfect. Ideal for lunch. Good value for money.

21/06/2026: The air conditioning is broken... I think it's been broken for a long time... frequented by a bunch of drunks... smell of all the smoking stuff in the indoor dining area... a shame because the home-style cooking is good

02/06/2026: Very disappointing. The pizzas were sparsely topped and burnt. It's not good value for money. I do not recommend this pizzeria.

29/05/2026: As a regular customer of this place, I was (for the second time) very disappointed by the delivered pizzas. The dough was rubbery, and the toppings were sparse. This is no longer the Bella Pizza I know. Is it a drop in quality coupled with increased sales? I won't be ordering again. What a shame.

29/07/2026: The waiters are extremely rude to their customers and charge money to refill water bottles even though their rules clearly state it's forbidden.

28/07/2026: The worst "restaurant" of my life! If you can even call it a restaurant. I drove 45 minutes for a cold welcome; the manager is incredibly rude! Disrespectful to both customers and employees. The buffet was half empty and the food was cold. Special mention goes to the bottle of cold tap water. I wouldn't say "Avoid at all costs," but rather, shut it down!

01/08/2026: Poor boss... the female employee takes large sums of money from customers to buy their tobacco in Italy! She's competing with French tobacco! For a tobacconist, it's a disgrace!! They really rip you off afterwards, since they take your money and only give you back the "total" plus a month later! I was behind the woman when the switch happened! A disgrace... a total disgrace, we'll never go there again!

01/07/2026: HOTEL TO AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! When I arrived at the hotel to check in at 7 PM, I tried desperately to contact the number on the front door. Someone finally answered on my fourth call. The "receptionist" gave me the code, and I retrieved my room key. Upon arriving in my room, I discovered the state of the sheets and the room itself. I asked for just the sheets to be changed, and after my seventh call, I was moved to a different room (see photos). Once that was done, I went to my second room, and the sheets were "a little" cleaner, but the shower curtain (mold) and my bath towel were in a deplorable state. I resigned myself to accepting the room since no other hotel was available that evening and decided to take a shower. I was shocked to discover there was no hot water, even though I had reported the problem when I changed rooms. In short, a superb night's sleep... even if this hotel is only 2 stars, I think it should be at least minimally clean. I should add that I'm not particularly fussy about comfort and cleanliness.

25/04/2026: We stayed at the Hotel La Victoire, located on Place du Grand Jardin, right at the entrance to Vence's historic center. It's a small, two-star hotel. It doesn't have private parking, but we were able to use the public underground parking garage opposite the entrance, which made arrival much easier. Inside, the layout is simple. We stayed in a double room. The room was clean, with a wardrobe and a handy storage shelf. The room was equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a functional bathroom. However, the shower could use some improvement: the curtain, although visibly cleaned, could do with being replaced. There's a small elevator for luggage. The soundproofing is effective: although the hotel directly overlooks a lively square with many restaurants, we weren't bothered by the noise once the windows were closed. Check-in and reception are handled by phone and text message, with the entry code sent to you so you can retrieve your room key. A simple continental breakfast is served on the ground floor each morning. This is a good value hotel that we appreciated for its convenience, as it allows you to explore the entire city on foot.

04/07/2026: Cafe Agnelli has closed down, and a Smash Burger place has opened in its place.

20/05/2026: Honestly, one of the worst Asian restaurant experiences of my life. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, but there was practically no real meat in it, no chicken at all. This restaurant is a rip-off. The texture was really strange and frankly disgusting… I'm still wondering what I ate; I was sickened. I paid €10 for an inedible dish. Luckily, it came with rice, otherwise I wouldn't have eaten anything at all. Very disappointed, I definitely do not recommend it.

28/06/2026: The staff were unwelcoming, we were really bothering them... And it was 7:30 pm. As for the very expensive pizzas (€15) for just dough and grated cheese, we had to look for the other ingredients. A real tourist trap.

24/07/2026: A pizza that scares you... This is the second time I've ordered from Mister Pizza. The first time I was disappointed; the "thick crust" option wasn't actually thick. Tonight I'm giving them a second chance, but unfortunately, I've never seen a pizza so small, so thin, hard, and pale. The price is outrageous. I only admire the speed of delivery and the friendliness of the driver; the rest is best avoided.
