The service was top-notch: they were incredibly quick to serve the child (and every parent knows how precious that is). The food was delicious, well-presented, with generous portions that were satisfying without breaking the bank—a winning combination! Special mention for the view of the Launes slopes, simply magnificent. The food was excellent… and the setting was a bonus. A warm welcome, a pleasant atmosphere—in short, everything we love for a great time. We'll definitely be back… especially if our little chef approves again!

12/07/2026: ⚠️ Good food, but nightmarish service and honesty (surreal experience). ​We left this place with decidedly mixed feelings, but the bitter taste in our mouths (and not because of the food) unfortunately prevailed. ​The atmosphere and the cuisine ​Positive note: the place looks good, it's cute, and the initial atmosphere promised a lovely lunch. The cuisine also deserves praise: the dishes were truly delicious, well-prepared, and flavorful. It's a shame that everything else completely ruined the experience. ​Hygiene and service: ​The problems started right away with the table setting: when we sat down, we found visibly dirty and sticky glasses and cutlery. Furthermore, the service was decidedly slow throughout the meal. The height of absurdity came with the drinks. We were served water in an already opened bottle, without a cap, warm, and with strange writing that had nothing to do with any well-known brand. The waiter explicitly told us it was tap water. When we got the bill, however, a surprise arose: the bottle was listed as "Evian Water" at the modest price of 8 euros. When we asked for an explanation, a full-blown argument ensued. The waiter denied the evidence and everything he had previously said, insisting on the Evian story despite the fact that the bottle was clearly another one, already opened and warm. As if that weren't enough, for defending our consumer rights in the face of an inflated bill, we were met with an irritated and condescending remark: "Eeee, the Italians...", as if to insinuate that we were the ones trying to cheat. A classist, rude, and totally unacceptable comment. In short: If you're just looking for good food and don't care about cleanliness, go ahead. If you expect hygiene, honest service, and respect for the customer without being ridiculed (and insulted) on the bill, stay away. We won't be returning.

26/04/2026: We came to celebrate our first anniversary and enjoyed the Sunday brunch. A lovely welcome, full of humor and joy. A very high-quality buffet with a wide variety of both savory and sweet options. (The only slight drawback... the pancakes, but that's really nitpicking because compared to the gravlax salmon, eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, and everything else!!!) In short, an excellent time. Thank you for everything.

26/07/2026: We were strolling down the avenue with friends when we met the wonderful Chiraz at the entrance of the restaurant. She was so warm and welcoming that she made us want to go in for dinner! Out of curiosity, we walked the entire length of the avenue to see the other restaurants, but in the end, we came to La Bodega just for you, Chiraz! Thank you for your kindness; we had a fantastic time :) And on top of that, the best mussels I've had in the south!!!

03/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A huge favorite! If there were a sixth star, we'd give it without hesitation! La Bergerie à Caille is simply an exceptional place, one of those we recommend without reservation. Everything is there for a fantastic time with friends or family. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a smile. From the front-of-house staff to the kitchen staff, the entire team is remarkably kind, professional, and attentive. You can tell that everything is done with passion. The dishes are absolutely delicious, prepared with high-quality ingredients, many from local producers. The portions are incredibly generous, and the value for money is simply amazing. It's become so rare these days that it deserves to be highlighted! The setting is equally magnificent: a superb terrace where you can fully enjoy the fresh mountain air, and a warm, authentic interior, tastefully decorated in the true spirit of the Southern Alps. Just 55 km from the coast, you're transported to another world. What a joy to discover such an authentic place! A huge congratulations to the entire team for this wonderful experience. We will definitely be back, and we will invite our friends and family to discover this hidden gem. Thank you for this marvelous moment, and see you very soon!

26/07/2026: Absolutely recommended. The staff were truly lovely. Everything was delicious. We had a mountain salad, with very high-quality ingredients and a generous portion. We also had melted cheese, homemade fries, and excellent charcuterie. Special mention goes to the gigantic wood-fired pizzas with their thin crust... the best we've ever eaten (and being from Marseille, we know our stuff). Well done!

05/08/2026: A pub that in 1997 offered live music and where drink prices weren't outrageous, lol. 7 euros for a beer is almost the price of a 6-pack! 😂😂😂 And just as I arrive, I'm listening to The Doors with "When the Music's Over." Well, I think the "music" is over for this pub where you have to shell out 7 euros for a beer, and the atmosphere... don't even get me started. No socializing whatsoever, people huddled together around their "barrels" that serve as tables outside. So, I think that was the last time I'll ever come here. A pub that was once an institution, now doomed to self-destruction. 😭😭😭 This is the end...

28/07/2026: Great location, fabulous view, very welcoming team, lovely food and beer. Very kind to the children. Visited Café de l’Union several times last week, Atef and the team were so welcoming whether we arrived as a table of 13 or 2 and whether we wanted food or just a drink. The food was excellent, the little ones were welcomed and treated very kindly, the grown ups were also looked after very well, the service was great, would recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

07/08/2026: We received a very warm welcome at this traditional restaurant, which has a pleasant and authentic atmosphere. We ate very well, everything was delicious, and we had a wonderful time. One small comment, however, regarding the stuffed vegetable dish, which I found a little small considering the price. Apart from that, no complaints! A great experience, we will gladly return.
