28/05/2026: A local restaurant in Nice. We visited without a reservation, but luckily there was one table available, so we were able to get in. Reservations are recommended. We ordered a set meal with various dishes. We had a plate with small portions of tapas, stew, and pizza radière. The dishes were unlike anything I'd had before, but everything was delicious, especially the lamb, which was incredibly tasty with no unpleasant odor.

23/05/2026: A very good restaurant offering a wide variety of Niçoise specialties at excellent value. It's just a shame that the waitress brought us the dessert menu but never came to take our order. After a 20-minute wait, we left without having been able to try the Swiss chard tart.

28/04/2026: The food was alright. We ordered five dishes, but one of them, pasta, never arrived. After waiting for an hour, they said we hadn't ordered it at all and the kitchen was closed 😅 Then they pretended not to understand English 😅

06/03/2026: We tried the snack bar as a couple and had a wonderful time: excellent cocktails, delicious, generous, and fresh food (truffle brie burger and pulled pork burger), and a fantastic, warm welcome. We definitely plan to go back, but this time to try the restaurant. We also really liked the decor and atmosphere.

16/02/2026: Disappointment... No accompaniments with the aperitif, meager starters, unoriginal and bland main courses. Desserts were acceptable but small portions... We do not recommend!

23/05/2026: We were very disappointed with our experience at La Pépite last night. There were three of us, and not a single dish was up to standard. I ordered a completely tasteless meat dish, the kind you'd find at home with no effort whatsoever. My friends had a wok dish without sauce, dry and frankly awful, as well as pasta with a cold burrata. After sending it back to the kitchen, the dish came back reheated in the microwave… the burrata had exploded on the plate. The worst part? The price. We paid an arm and a leg for such mediocre quality. Clearly a restaurant to avoid. The only positive point of the evening: the view. Thankfully, it was there to somewhat redeem the experience.

22/05/2026: I've been coming to this restaurant for several years. The prices had already gone up quite a bit in recent years… my favorite goat cheese salad is no longer on the menu. I ordered the Caesar salad with crispy chicken. First of all, it wasn't healthy, and one of the main ingredients—the avocado—was black and stringy… it's impossible for the chef not to have noticed… I pointed it out to the waitress, who seemed completely indifferent. So, at €24 for a salad, that's unacceptable. Very disappointed.

The « formule petit déjeuner » seems to be good value for the money as they give you orange juice, a croissant and a hot drink for only 6,50€ Croissance also look fresh out of the oven Would recommend this place

16/06/2026: It's been a long time since I've eaten so well in a restaurant. The dishes were delicious, the meat was incredible. The service was excellent, with a very friendly and helpful waiter. A beautiful restaurant with lovely decor. Truly a superb place.

23/05/2026: In my opinion, Johnny Walsh's is the best bar in Lyon. Along with Johnny's Kitchen (a bit bigger, which also serves food), they make a great entertainment duo in Vieux Lyon. The draft beers are excellent, and the service is very good. On some days of the week (Thursday to Saturday), the bar has live music. I highly recommend it when in Lyon!

21/04/2026: We were thirsty after a fantastic escape room adventure in Lyon and stopped by. We were treated to great cocktails, a lovely owner, and even some chips. The terrace is very pleasant, it's just a shame it's so small; I'm not sure I'll find a table when we go back, because we'll definitely be back.

01/07/2026: Incredibly good value, seemed like the only good value place in town and all the clientele seemed to be local people for that reason. It was also really nice, simple and unpretentious and a bit of a throwback but that's charming and what makes it good.

27/06/2026: I've been eating at Palais d'Avis on Saturday nights for several years now. Excellent food and a very warm welcome. More than reasonable prices.
