30/12/2025: A warm welcome, and the food is delicious and plentiful. The ravioli with beef stew is a must-try; they're homemade, as are some of the desserts. The view from the dining room is spectacular; go on a clear day with a blue sky.

22/02/2026: We waited for 20 minutes for the order to be taken. When I said that it’s already 20 mins the lady shouted at me (and we were seated at the table that was still dirty from previous clients…) and when she was gesticulating with her hands all the bread crumbles were falling almost in my face, never felt so ashamed in a restaurant…

22/02/2026: Fresh oysters, but shockingly rude service perhaps in the entire France. One particular server (pictured) was extremely rude & arrogant — plates and cutlery were practically thrown onto the table, and when we politely asked for the bill, we were told in a dismissive expression to wait & not expect immediate service. (We DID NOT ask to be served immediately) The restaurant was only 1/4 full & i don’t think it is customers’ fault that they hate their job. To be fair though, the young lady serving the oysters were kind and professional, but the overall attitude from the rest of the staff was real rude and unwelcoming. A real shame, as Nice is such a beautiful city but this restaurant does not reflect its hospitality at all.

01/01/2026: We had a wonderful meal in a unique setting…it was a bit cold, unfortunately…but the food was served piping hot 👍 The duck was cooked to perfection! Only the appetizer platter didn't meet our expectations and was too expensive…

Excellent cuisine, friendly and impeccable service, and a pleasant atmosphere enhanced by discreet background music featuring hits from the 80s to the 2000s.... Even though it might seem like a common, even ordinary, dish, don't miss the delectable duck confit with roasted new potatoes.

27/01/2026: A truly excellent place! We arrived as a couple just before 2 pm. We were greeted by a warm smile from Delphine, the restaurant manager. Romain, always smiling, took our order and suggested some dishes, confirming our excellent choices. A warm atmosphere, a pleasant playlist, and staff who were clearly happy to be there. Chef Serge explained his octopus recipe, which was absolutely delicious! A delightful touch: a wide selection of wines in all three colors are offered in pitchers of three different sizes. The term "bistro" doesn't do justice to the quality of this restaurant, which is more than just a bistro; it's fine dining at reasonable prices. A huge thank you to the whole team! I will definitely be back!

05/01/2026: It was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! You absolutely have to experience it at least once in your lifetime. The food was incredible, and the wine pairings were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The staff was outstanding, with such a deep knowledge of both the food and the wines. To top it all off, we received a beautiful journal from Chef Jan at the end of the night—a thoughtful gift that perfectly captured the essence of such a memorable evening. We’re already planning to visit Chef Jan’s other locations in South Africa. Thank you again for an unforgettable experience! We’ll always cherish this special night.

15/10/2025: It is an impressive journey in JAN in Nice. We can feel the idea the chief would like to bring to us for each dish. Really impressed by the cheese room. The service and vibe are quite good and comfortable. Worth to visiting again! Also the Rusks , it is good!
