27/06/2026: Screening on June 26th at 6:55 PM: I booked 6 tickets (5 adults, 1 child) for a total of €80. It's an outrageous amount, but oh well, it's not really the theater manager's fault. However, the popcorn: yes! It's shameful to sell such expensive products that are all soggy! In January 2020, I already left a review stating that the food and drinks were far too expensive, but things have changed! Now they're expensive and awful! Do they realize the price per kilo of popcorn at this theater?! It's equivalent to caviar! And they dare to sell it in such deplorable quality. You might think it's just popcorn, but no, at that price it's an exceptional product, so it deserves exceptional service. Otherwise, they cut the price in half, and then I won't complain: I pay a low price for a product of comparable quality. Review from January 2020: Excellent cinema, however, the missing star is justified by the far too expensive food and drinks.

26/07/2026: I arrived at this establishment with six friends, practically drooling with anticipation, so highly praised had it been. Once there, reality quickly proved otherwise. One of the major advantages that remains since the change of ownership is online booking. And it was precisely this booking that convinced us to stay at our table. Indeed, it was Saturday, and as tradition dictates, we were taking advantage of every dance in Mouans-Sartoux to accompany the town's elderly clientele. What could be better than having a table reserved for us, right next to the dance floor? The Place to Beers was the go-to spot. However, no sooner had we sat down than we received the "special dance" menu. A new feature since the change of ownership. Imagine our astonishment at the frankly Cannes-like prices. A plate of tapas for €25 in Mouans-Sartoux, really? Even the pasta restaurant owner wouldn't dare stoop to this level, and God knows he's the very embodiment of greed in the Bible. Besides, Cannes at least has the decency to offer a decent setting. You're gentrifying a popular event, and that's absolutely despicable. But let's overlook the prices. Once you've looked at the menu and its prices, and tightened your belt a bit more than expected, what about the choices? Oh, well, a change of ownership just a week ago and practically no vegetarian options? A tapas mix with chicken wings, calamari fritters, spring rolls, and samosas. A cheese and charcuterie platter. Colorful tomatoes with stracciatella and Parma ham. A caparccio, a pinsa with Parma ham. And that's just the beginning. Oh yes, a quick mention for the stuffed vegetables (basically a plate of vegetables, at €20) and the truffle tagliatelle (€24). Not even a vegetarian alternative to the burger, the pinsa, or the tapas platter. Offering vegetarian options isn't about catering to just one dietary need; it's about giving everyone (excluding those with intolerances) the opportunity to enjoy a meal. Could you tell us, "We should have checked before coming?" I'd love that! Your website is unfortunately outdated, even though reservations are still possible through it. Your special menu for dances isn't listed there either, or at least it's not prominently displayed. It's difficult to plan ahead, yet it's a necessary precaution when several people in a group have different dietary requirements. And then, events unfolded one after another. There weren't "enough water carafes for all the tables" (on a dance day, really?), three employees took turns serving our table, information was given twice and still didn't arrive (the glass of wine and prosecco was omitted, the sauces never arrived, nor did the bread...). To create vegetarian options (and to avoid abandoning our reservation for seven people), we ordered a cheeseburger without a patty, and two pinsas without ham. And the one that was supposed to have ham... arrived without it. Naturally, the service isn't to blame. The staff are probably new hires and it's a busy day. They're doing the best they can, and this isn't a rant against the people who took the time to serve us. They're simply dependent on the resources available to them. I appreciate the offer of a coffee or a limoncello as an apology for the inconvenience, but I'm not sure it resolves anything regarding the menu's diversity. Recent reviews speak for themselves; even though the change is very recent, it's urgent to adapt to the modern world, and offering shots of limoncello doesn't really change that. Women are often asked, "Would you rather choose the man or the bear?" I think they'd answer "the man" rather than The Place to Beers, and that says it all.

14/07/2026: A couple of friends and I spotted a table outside for drinks. We asked the waiter if we could sit down. He asked us to wait two minutes while he cleared the table. The owner arrived with two customers to seat them at our table. We explained that the waiter had told us to wait because he was going to prepare the table for us. The owner (or waiter, who thinks he's the boss, "I'm the one who decides") kicked us out, telling us that he was the one who decided! So much for customer service and business acumen. Pathetic. (I'm not mistaken about the establishment.)

24/05/2026: The staff were incredibly unfriendly! We were ignored for ages until someone finally came to take our order. Some of the food was cold and oversalted. Not recommended.

29/06/2026: Unfortunately, it's not what it used to be, and the quality has dropped. It's a real shame, because we used to love this restaurant. The chicken no longer has that authentic Portuguese taste: it's dry, dry, and clearly lacks flavor. As for the ribs, they're good, but far too fatty. The prices have also gone up considerably. We're disappointed by this decline in quality and, unfortunately, we no longer recommend this restaurant.

15/06/2026: The food was very good. The only downside was the noise. The music was loud, and consequently, the other customers spoke loudly to be heard. The noise.

07/07/2026: If you're looking to be treated like dirt, humiliated, and yelled at by a rude and arrogant waiter, go ahead, you'll get more than you bargained for! If you were hoping for a pleasant time, go somewhere else entirely. Never set foot in this place!

06/07/2026: At first, we were a bit concerned because of the relatively low rating, but the relaxed and friendly staff—and, above all, the quality of the food—pleasantly surprised us. This place definitely deserves a higher rating.

12/07/2026: Unfortunately, the service was terrible and really affected our experience. We asked for water as soon as we sat down and waited for a long, which was especially frustrating in the heat. We had to ask three different waiters multiple times for simple things like a spoon and bread, and we constantly felt forgotten. Food wise, the calamari and sweet and spicy shrimp were both great starters. The seafood paella was also very good. The steak, however, was a bit underwhelming. Overall, the food was good, but the service was extremely disappointing.

11/07/2026: Good evening, Dishonest person. 40-minute wait for our entrance, unpleasant establishment. We wanted to leave and pay for our food and drinks, threatening to call the police. Completely awful, avoid at all costs!

20/01/2026: Nothing more... however, access to the room is impossible 45 minutes before the displayed closing time... a recurring practice among many businesses in France... the displayed time is often the staff's time, not the customer's... just so you know 🤦

09/06/2026: I just bought a Nutella cookie, and the €5 price tag already seems excessive. Then, outside the shop, I open it. I had previously asked the saleswoman if the cookies were homemade, and she had said yes. However, when I pick up the cookie, it feels like it's frozen. It's extremely hard, and I can't even break it by hand. Someone needs to revisit the definition of "homemade."

05/04/2026: Small but cozy place, friendly staff and very good food. Furthermore, which is very rare, they serve coffee with a free glass of water. Finally, the place is not called margot as on Maps but (o ble des lys).

30/05/2026: An excellent restaurant, the kind you rarely find. Everything was perfect, even though I'm used to dining at fine restaurants. This one truly impressed me. I wasn't expecting such delicious dishes, and the service was simply impeccable. What a team! You can feel their genuine passion for their craft. A huge thank you to Quentin, Loïc, Thomas, and Olivier: you are all fantastic.

15/05/2026: I was very disappointed by my visit to this establishment. We were expecting a pleasant experience, but it was a complete disaster. The food was unbalanced: Of the three dishes we ordered, two were excessively salty. The service was nonexistent and unpleasant: The two waiters were remarkably nonchalant. We felt like we were bothering them every time we asked. Special mention goes to one of them who seemed openly fed up with having to serve us. A little politeness and a smile cost nothing. To top it all off, construction work right outside the door punctuated our meal with deafening noise. No one bothered to apologize for the inconvenience or even warn us at the beginning of the meal. In short, avoid this place. For 60 euros per person, there are much better Italian restaurants in the area that respect their customers and their recipes.
