08/09/2024: Great restaurant with a local feeling and high standard overall. Elton in the kitchen cooked us some tender and tasty Meat, while Mamadu served our table with his warm and genuine presence. Would definitely visit again.

21/08/2024: Very nice discovery in the small village of Saorge. We had local salads, a Caesar salad and a baked camembert served with fries and salad. The plates are generous and the products are fresh. Very good meal.
20/08/2024: Nouvelle équipe très sympathique, qui n'hésite pas à ajouter des tables dans la ruelle pour satisfaire notre envie d'être en extérieur. Nous avons choisi une assiette du terroir, avec un assortiments de tourtes de Saorge, de viande séchée, de fromages et de charcuterie. Des produits locaux et de qualité, sans excès de sel comme trop souvent ailleurs, et accompagné d'un rosé frais à point. Un prélude parfait à une soirée musicale au Monastère, dans ce village aux charmes tout à fait à part.

the cheeseburger too. But it is spicy 🌶 but very good😇 the mozzarella sticks are very good the service is fast

20/08/2024: The only positive thing is the view. Restaurant without charm, service that leaves something to be desired. Dishes without flavors, the prize goes to the sole in brioche which looks like a fish hot dog covered in a tasteless sauce.
The perfect example of these restaurants found on the Côte d'Azur which take customers for pigeons. Nothing is going well, plus we have the feeling that we are disturbing.

I was out for breakfast this week the owner kicked a pigeon because a customer gave him some crumbs of brioche and also hit the customer without apologizing by screaming... I strongly advise against it.. .if he treats animals like this, let alone people....

18/08/2024: Our only disappointment in our visit to La Ciotat.
We should have known to expect the worst when our Tabouleh entree arrived and was genuinely worse than a similar product bought prêt à manger from a Casino grocer.
The gambas dish was mediocre at best.
Honestly nothing about this food was competently assembled. Poorly thought out, and poorly executed to boot. There seems to be an over reliance on pre-preparing food, to the detriment of the end product.
I have worked in food service, and normally grade things very generously - here I just cannot.
Lovely location, staff seemed friendly enough.
17/08/2024: Superb welcome, it's a pleasure because it's increasingly rare during tourist periods. Very well received from the flow at the end. Thanks to the team. We had Tagliatelle Burrata Raw Ham Basil. The sauce lacks a little something, it's a little bland. And the cheesecake didn't seem dated, a little rancid taste in the biscuit. The prices are reasonable and the dishes quite original.

13/05/2024: Tres beau cadre.le personnel très gentille. Carte assez réduite vin très limité en choix dommage. Cette endroit mérite plus de travail en cuisine et certainement un sommelier.
09/04/2024: This place was bad. The waiter was below average - he did not understand what we were asking and did not have knowledge of the menu - but still tried his best.
We had two vegetarians (religious reasons) at our table and they specifically asked for no anchovy sauce on the salad, but it came with.
The three risottos were cold in the middle. We went somewhere else (the bill was still €50! Even after all that! Sacre bleu!) and honestly were glad about it. Le Quebec was lovely, and we didn’t look back. Highly recommend that place. Very good.
This place though. Yeah. Avoid. They obviously don’t make the food fresh, and the ambience was not fun. Very stuffy.

Where is the cheese in cheese naan? €4.50 for cheese naan and 0 cheese
The portions were divided in 2 and I took a tikka massala as usual normally it is spicy and today 0 spicy and to finish the hot coke
It's a shame it was a very good restaurant..

15/08/2024: Thursday August 15, 2024. Very very good surprise. Given the location and the “no” outdoor decor. Super good, hearty, authentic and delicious desserts. Pleasant waitress and nice young man at the cash register. Well done in the kitchen. Just blah for the pitcher of rosé

19/08/2024: In the shaded calm and away from the hustle and bustle and tourist noise of the seaside, and yet 5 minutes from the Prom, we are happy to have discovered the Insolent café: excellent cuisine, copious dishes, very good desserts, attentive service and very friendly welcome, one of the best value for money in the Carré d'Or.
