17/06/2025: I think you will see that I review a lot and rarely do I give low scores.
I stopped by this morning to see if there was a drinks list with a view to visiting this evening. There were some QR codes on a notice board so I stepped into the shade to try and see my mobile phone screen in the bright sunshine.
Any elder gentlemen came into the same space and said bonjour, and I responded bonjour. I thought he was some local or someone who just wanted shade . That s is 6 hours before opening time. All fine so far.
The gentlemen was right next to me so I stepped out away while sorting my phone out. He then proceeded to place one of the outdoor chairs in a position to stop me going back to the notice board and shaded area. Extremely rude. I realized then that he either worked there or was the owner. There was no engagement. No asking if I needed something.
If this is the greeting you get them there are plenty of other bars. Try Ma Nolans as another Irish bar.
In the picture you can see the gentleman's reflection on the door to the right, making sure I don't step into his previous shade

12/09/2024: Lunch yesterday Wednesday September 11. A treat like this croque monsieur with truffles, and for my granddaughter homemade hamburger, perfectly cooked fries. The staff are lovely.

24/08/2024: Lorsque vous vous interessez a l’histoire de l’établissement et à la passion du patron, il s’ouvrira et vous donnera inévitablement envie de tester la carte et de suivre ses judicieux conseils vin ! La cuisine Sarde proposée était absolument parfaite ! Un délice ! L’Ulivo est sans aucun doute un établissement à ne pas manquer si vous goûtez à Menton !
22/08/2024: Accueil inexistant, pas chaleureux du tout, on a l’impression de déranger pourtant le restaurant n’est pas plein…. Les assiettes sont bonnes ! Déçue

31/08/2024: A regular visitor for over 20 years, this beach is my haven of peace. I come there to recharge my batteries and enjoy a relaxing day. I love this beach, their pan bagna and the simplicity of the place. Very very reasonable prices, family welcome and zen atmosphere. Thanks to Christine and her dad for making this place a simple and friendly island. An unconditional fan. Thanks to the whole team 🙏❤️
24/08/2024: On vacation in the South, we spent several days at the Plage des Sports, where we had reserved mattresses. We also had lunch at the restaurant.
Despite a frantic race and a rush, the waiters always served us quickly. The employees are always smiling and kind. The servers are joking and friendly. La Plage des Sports creates a real family atmosphere and takes care of its regular customers. The lifeguard is also very nice and fun.
Regarding the food, it is good and offers good value for money. However, we were a little disappointed with the scallop salad. The fish and beef tartars are excellent. The fish are very well cooked and the daily specials are varied.
As for the mattresses, they are starting to age, but remain comfortable. In addition, this beach employs beach attendants who are very attentive and caring. With their waterside meals and drinks, the day at the beach is very pleasant.
The only negative point we noticed is inside. The facilities are starting to age, especially the toilets and shower.

Personnel hyper gentil et serviable. Ça fait plaisir de voir encore des jeunes se donner à fond dans ce dur métier de restauration.

17/11/2024: Nourriture vraiment pas terrible. La table niçoise n'a de niçois que le nom malheureusement. Et ô surprise quand nous demandons où sont les WC. "Il n'y en a pas, ce n'est pas obligatoire" nous répond la serveuse. Il faut donc, en plein repas, quitter la table et aller au parking pour trouver des toilettes et un lavabo (oui, nous nous lavons les mains avant de manger...)
Je n'y retournerai pas
30/10/2024: Quelle déception,ce restaurant ne mérite pas de s’appeler la table niçoise. Pas de salade niçoise. Assiette niçoise ,avec farcis ,pissaladière sans saveur.Passez votre chemin.

28/09/2024: Great beach restaurant, a sure value, I've been there several times and always a good experience.
Obviously it's expensive, we pay for the frame.
The view of Juan Bay is great and the decoration is really elaborate. I think I will come back next summer to try the private beach experience.

30/08/2024: This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend, but we were not delighted with the experience. The waiting time is very long, I am offered a steak tartare with frozen fries, so I take a melted camembert with 1.5 potatoes (1 more would have been better...) and some cold meats. The bread 🥖 is a cheap frozen white baguette, the pizza is not one of the best, the penne bolognese was good for once.
We bought the bread at the village casino during the week, and it was much better and much superior in taste and quality.
I think it’s a restaurant that is riding on its success. Indeed the room was full, but in terms of quality it was not crowded…

06/09/2024: Als mijn vrouw mosselen wil eten strijken we neer op het op straat gelegen terras van deze zaak. De bediening is vriendelijk en we bestellen de mosselen voor mijn vrouw en voor mij fish and chips. Het eten smaakte prima en ook de prijs was goed. Een karaf water kregen we van de zaak.
06/09/2024: Nothing special in terms of taste. Dough tastes like it comes from the supermarket, tomato sauce is very watery. I won't go there again.

29/09/2024: Rather average pizza, the dough is very flat, generally lacks taste and salt. Error on my order which came out as a merger between the order of one of my guests and mine, also the egg was not cooked on the cannibal.
The server, on the other hand, is very friendly, helpful, positive and energetic.
Passable cuisine for a price a little too high for my taste, but a nice setting.
08/09/2024: Neighborhood restaurant where it's good to go, the terrace is enjoyable in the evening, the pizzas and dishes are excellent.

27/03/2025: We were going to spend a weekend with them and then go dog sledding. We had to postpone our activity to the following weekend because due to bad weather it was canceled. 48 hours before we call the hotel who answers us we cannot postpone because we are closing soon. Lost reservation I called them back this week because I saw the boss's response from the place we are not an association and if everyone canceled for a little cloud outside it was not calm. So ok you are not an association but I am in the business of respect and a gesture can be made. The hotel would have gained one more meal at the restaurant and a customer for the next year if the experience was good. So to flee just for the welcome
17/03/2025: We came for a drink this weekend, there were a lot of people and unfortunately the wait was a little long due to lack of staff. But the server was able to make itself available as quickly as possible 🙏🏼
