02/03/2026: I'd spotted this restaurant on Google Maps beforehand. What a great idea! We had a pitcher of sangria here; it was a little spicy but delicious. We also ordered the charcuterie platter, which was incredible, and the croquettes were also very good. A truly flawless experience that earns this place a spot on our list of favorites! Bravo!

10/11/2025: I stumbled upon this tapas restaurant that served after 9 pm. It's worth noting that in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, in winter, it's difficult to find a restaurant still serving after 9 pm. The service from the grandmother is excellent. The atmosphere is friendly, and even if everything isn't homemade, the value is still good. I ended up going two nights in a row. A very good place.

27/02/2026: I don't usually leave reviews, but this pizza... wow! The crust was crispy and flavorful, the flour was a great choice... not to mention the very generous toppings. Well done, Mr. Pizzaiolo! We thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll be back soon for another order.

14/12/2025: Based on the reviews, we chose this restaurant, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed with both the pizzas and the desserts. The pizza dough was very hard, while the toppings weren't cooked (the cheese wasn't melted). As for the desserts: the panna cotta was too sweet, and the pear and chocolate tart was extremely cold and therefore tasteless. The restaurant itself is cozy, but the staff wasn't very friendly.

20/04/2026: Passing through La Ciotat, I went to dinner at La Pêcherie on a recommendation. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and the friendliness of the staff… Then the mussels and fries were very good, with a special mention for the local wine. 😉 As for the atmosphere, it was quite calm, but apparently they organize themed evenings on weekends!

13/04/2026: Good evening, Regarding the atmosphere, I won't give it a star, as it was off-season and market day, and I came on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Anyway. The service was deplorable, and the wines were of very poor quality. I politely explained that the wine tasted off. He took my glass (with my permission) and tasted it, explaining, "The wine is perfect, sir, you're just not used to it." Okay, fine, why not, he poured me another glass. Ordering mussels and fries: firstly, the mussels weren't cleaned, the cooking was highly questionable, and they were dry. They looked like they'd been reheated three times in two days, as if they were using up unsold stock from the day before or two days prior. The accompanying fries were absolutely not fresh. The waiter, otherwise friendly, shouts when he speaks, standing right next to your table while talking to his colleague inside. And I think that sometimes, in life, there are signs. When it came time to pay, the card machine wouldn't accept my card, as if the universe had sent a sign saying, "You're not going to charge them for a meal that's beneath you." I'm neither God nor judge, but I think it's better to spend your money elsewhere.

02/06/2026: The food was generally good, especially the escalope, which I found very well done. Unfortunately, the rest was very disappointing. When we asked for a glass of Château La Coste, we were told rather condescendingly that this wine wasn't served by the glass, on the grounds that Château La Coste didn't sell boxed wine. A surprising explanation, to say the least, especially since in many restaurants, certain wines are served by the glass directly from a bottle, not a box. After the main courses, we were completely forgotten about dessert. After a long wait, we had to flag down the staff ourselves. We were then told, "Oh yes, sorry, we forgot about you." At that point, we simply asked for water and gave up on dessert. This water was never brought to us. Even when it came to paying the bill, the problems continued. The bill had to be rewritten three times, as each time it included desserts and coffees we hadn't ordered or consumed. Despite this series of errors, we received no gesture of goodwill, not even a simple acknowledgment to compensate for the inconveniences we experienced throughout the meal. We felt like we were bothering them simply by asking for a correct bill. In short: decent food, but disappointing service. I won't be going back.

07/05/2026: I'm giving 5 stars so as not to criticize the rest of the team, who were fantastic! The owner (I think it was him) was lovely and always smiling, whereas the woman behind the bar didn't offer a smile or even a "goodbye"—her welcome was icy. We ate very well, thank you to the rest of the team.

Leo and Marion are welcoming hosts if you're open to conversation. Go on a recommendation, and return because you want to.

25/05/2026: Nice evening, great atmosphere and all, but the beers are a bit too expensive, frankly... €8 for a pint of IPA, this is supposed to be an alternative place, so for me it's too pricey; €7 would be more acceptable. A previous review says the pints aren't 50cl but 45cl, so if that's true, it amplifies my complaint. I'm still giving it 4 stars for the place, what it represents, and the people who keep it going.

27/03/2026: Huge garden, really lovely, it has everything: vegetables, fruit, you can even create your own little garden plot, etc. Lots to do with children, especially since they host activities for schools from Air Bel, they organize friendly parties, there's a refreshment stand, and the team is really great. Go check it out!

17/05/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ A very enjoyable time spent at La Rotonde. The setting is truly pleasant, with a lovely atmosphere and an ideal location in the city center. The service is generally efficient and well-organized, the dishes arrive promptly, and the quality is excellent. A minor drawback, however, was the welcome; a lack of smiles and warmth from the staff contrasted somewhat with the rest of the experience. But this didn't spoil the meal, which remained very good and enjoyable. A good address in Aix-en-Provence, especially for enjoying the ambiance and solid service.
