09/08/2026: Simply an exceptional restaurant and owner ❤️ The food is absolutely delicious (I had THE Niçoise salad (every ingredient was of exceptional quality)), the service is quite fast (even during peak hours), and the staff are lovely and helpful. The decor is incredible: you can spend your entire lunch hour admiring all the carefully curated vintage items, collected over the years and in perfect condition. It feels like being a guest in someone's home. I love it 🤩

The coriander, subtle spices, and vegetables perfectly complement the tender and flavorful semolina. As for the service, it was simply perfect: warm and attentive.

Finally, a restaurant that doesn't rely on fancy decor or trendy trends, but on the raw, authentic quality of its cuisine. The couscous is extraordinary – it's a real couscous, flavorful and generously garnished. Every bite speaks to the authenticity of Berber cuisine: the flavors are there, precise, complex, without any pretense. It's cuisine that speaks for itself. And the service is impeccable. Attentive, warm, discreet when needed, and always there when you need it. It perfectly complements the experience. In Marseille, where North African cuisine abounds, it's rare to find such an honest and delicious place. Le Véritable Couscous Berbère truly lives up to its name. I highly recommend it! 07/09/2026: Exceptional caterer In addition to creating excellent and beautifully presented dishes, he listened attentively and provided us with excellent advice and reassurance throughout the entire planning process. Choosing a good caterer takes a huge weight off our shoulders when preparing for a wedding. We were able to relax completely and enjoy our evening without a worry, knowing everything was perfectly under control. A special mention to the head waiter and the servers, who were exceptionally professional. Our wedding was a success thanks to him!

14/07/2026: For a birthday party with 50 people, we randomly chose Papillologue online, and what a delight from the very first bite! We were won over, even though we hadn't tasted anything beforehand. The workshops were as beautiful as they were delicious, and the team was highly professional and discreet. We wholeheartedly recommend them.

16/08/2026: Distressing behaviour from server completely ruined our night. ​I would much rather leave a good review, and I genuinely sympathise with how stressful working in hospitality can be, but this meal was an absolute disaster and completely ruined our night. ​We ordered two bottles of wine and the starters were actually delicious. After that, everything went downhill fast. ​We both went for the 45 euro set menu and picked the same main. Even though we asked for separate plates, they brought out what was clearly just one single portion for the two of us to share: one skewer with six miniature pieces of beef, two tiny carrots, and a quarter of a potato. For that price, it was a joke. I brought it up with the waiter, but he basically just shrugged it off with a quick sorry and did nothing about it. They also completely forgot the cheese course until we had to ask for it. ​The biggest issue, however, was the behaviour from the lady serving. To be fair, she was perfectly pleasant whenever she came to our table. It was like she put on a mask the second she stepped outside. What she clearly did not realise was that everyone on the terrace could see and hear everything happening inside. She was screaming at her coworker, throwing menus at him, and kicked a bar stool across the floor. We could hear her crying from our seats outside, and when I came out of the toilet, she was visibly weeping by the till. It was awful to see someone in that state, but having that level of volatile conflict happening right in front of diners and families with young children sitting at adjacent tables was totally unacceptable. ​Her behaviour created such a tense, uncomfortable atmosphere that it completely killed our evening. We ended up paying the bill, leaving our wine on the table, ditching dessert, and heading to a nearby bar just to get away from it all. Good starter, but an utterly dreadful experience.

04/09/2026: My favorite burger in Aix-en-Provence! A perfectly risen and light bun, homemade fries, and a tube of mayo and ketchup for the table, just like in an American diner! My steak was perfectly rare, which is rare enough to mention. 10/10!

27/08/2026: We went there 3 times during our vacation because we loved the double smash burger so much. Besides that, it's a very nice place to sit!

12/08/2026: A nice concept with three bowl options (vegetable, pasta, cereal) and lots of fresh toppings. We had a bowl with couscous, four toppings, and a drink for €10, and a bowl with pasta, six toppings, a drink, and dessert for €12.50. Very good value and fresh!

10/09/2026: I had an absolutely incredible dinner at this restaurant. The menu is quite limited, but that doesn’t matter because every dish is a masterpiece. Each dish is light, balanced, and bursting with complex flavors. It’s a truly fine dining experience. ❤️
