23/07/2026: Trusting the positive reviews, I booked a table for lunch. The welcome was friendly, but a restaurant is also meant to offer good food. And the dishes on offer were quite ordinary, starting with the appetizers. The €20 meat dish was a tiny piece of rump steak (accompanied by a few salad leaves and some fries) so tough it was impossible to eat… We were very disappointed with the experience.

26/07/2026: We went here because of a previously good experience, but this time something was wrong. The air conditioner was broken, and it was hot out. The waiter argued with us regarding our order, and he must have confused himself because he brought the wrong dinner. My duck was like rubber. The oysters, the french fries and the roasted fish are good. At the end, the check was from another table. It was a really offbeat night. The food is OK, but not amazing. Not coming back, Paris has better food than this.

21/07/2026: I would not recommend this restaurant. As soon as we arrived, the waiter had an attitude towards us (maybe bc we're american? maybe bc we had a 5 year old in tow which they assured us over the phone would be fine??). We had looked at the website online but didn't realize it was a prix fixe (this was 100% our mistake, maybe a language barrier?) and the menu example we saw online showed a lot more options. On the night we were there, they had ONE option for starter, for meal they had one fish, one meat, or one vegetarian option. This is not what we had in mind at all. We explained the situation to our waiter and he said he would charge us 150 euro if we wanted to leave. I completely understand this policy for no-shows bc restaurants need to fill their tables to make money. This was a genuine misunderstanding (there was another whole issue with their reservation system that I won't get into....). The waiter was so condescending in the way he repeatedly told us their policies. I then caught him sending back our first course (a 'surprise' appetizer spread from the chef that I saw other tables getting), telling the server that we wouldnt be eating that (he didn't know I understand some French). I told him that was flat out rude. If we were stuck paying for this experience, we should atleast get the full experience.... Now. I expected after all of that well OK at least the food should be good. But it wasn't??? The best thing we ate by far was the 'surprise' appetizers that he eventually did bring out. The entrees were so underwhelming. Part of the dessert was literally a strawberry in a bowl (Im sure something fancy had been done to it but it tasted... like a strawberry). I will say I appreciated that they hurried the meal along (because we had a 5 year old with us, we couldn't sit there for hours) and I also appreciated the fact that they had a kids meal. That being said, perhaps the fact that they have a kids meal is what made is think this establishment might be something that its not. Incredibly disappointing experience overall.

19/07/2026: One of the highlights of my 2026. And I certainly wasn't expecting such a wonderful evening. The restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide but doesn't yet have a star at the time of writing, which it easily deserves. What a lovely evening I had here! First of all, thank you to the chef who presented each dish with such passion. What a delight the current menu was! The wine pairing was excellent, and if you choose it, trust the sommelier completely; let him select the wines without hesitation. You'll be pleasantly surprised. I made some wonderful discoveries tonight. Here is my menu for tonight: STARTER Mediterranean cuttlefish Almond milk - Snow peas - Chili green oil FISH Mathieu Chapel's mackerel from Côté Fish Green beans - Nectarine - Samphire MEAT Camargue AOP bull Black rice - Tomato - Gravlax CHEF'S SUGGESTION Roasted lobster Macaroni gratin - Sweet onion - Bisque CHEESE Julien Chazal's cheese selection DESSERT Provence apricot Fermented milk - Buckwheat - Marigold passion fruit If I had to rank the dishes, which is very difficult, the mackerel would come first, followed by the lobster, the apricot dessert, and the bull. But frankly, ranking them wasn't easy tonight. What beautiful dishes, what wonderful flavors! Several dishes were presented on multiple plates that were similar but not quite the same. Discovered this restaurant thanks to the festival tonight, and as much as I've made a wonderful discovery with this festival this year (2026), I will definitely be back next year to this lovely restaurant. I hope to have the same two people, chef and sommelier/waiter, serving me. Thank you!

18/07/2026: They opened for my great-grandmother's birthday and gave us a really warm welcome. They are very helpful and kind. The young chefs are truly talented, and the food is excellent. Thank you so much to the restaurant team!

09/07/2026: Superb restaurant! But beyond the restaurant itself, I'd also like to mention that their catering service is simply exceptional! Thank you to Côté Cuisine for making our wedding so special! From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was just perfect! The staff's attention to detail was magical! They truly went above and beyond. I highly recommend them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

17/07/2026: I loved the ambience, the owner and staff were all very nice, and the food was excellent. I asked if they could make me a specific cocktail, and despite not having all of the ingredients, they made me a drink that was delicious.

17/07/2026: Came here for a group celebration in Paris. The dining experience was great - thank you Georgette for a wonderful evening! Extremely friendly and patient waiters. They helped us celebrate a birthday, and went all out for it. Food was very good - on the expensive side for what you get. Favorite dishes were the leeks and cabbage. The ambiance is pleasant; had a three hour dinner and it didn't feel long at all. I would recommend and will come back.

30/07/2026: We had a lovely dinner at La Gourmandine, Côté Marché, overlooking Marché Victor Hugo. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The ingredients tasted fresh and the dishes were nicely presented. We started with the fried artichokes with gribiche sauce, which were crisp, flavourful, and especially good dipped into the sauce. Yum!! For our mains, we had the grilled wild hake with black rice, the cassoulet with duck and Toulouse sausage, and the Turkey Cordon Bleu. All three dishes were enjoyable and well prepared, though overall we found the food very good rather than exceptional. We also enjoyed a refreshing St-Germain Spritz and some lovely rosé. For dessert, we had the Passion Fruit Trompe-l’œil, with a chocolate shell, creamy filling, and passion fruit centre. It was beautifully presented and SO delicious. Overall, La Gourmandine offers a pleasant dining experience with a nice atmosphere, attentive service, and fresh ingredients. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend it.

06/07/2026: Attention vegetarian friends, the vegetarian option offered at the time of booking is simply a reorder of all the dishes without meat or fish, with nothing to compensate for the missing flavors (let alone vegan, it's not an option). Aside from that, it's excellent, including the wines, the service is very friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy.

07/08/2026: Fantastic, both the accommodation and the restaurant. My son and I stayed for two days and opted for full board in a dormitory room. It was spotless and very comfortable (air conditioning, a large kitchen, a fridge, a great coffee maker, etc.). We also had the opportunity to try the set menu, which featured refined and excellent cuisine at a really great price! So I highly recommend taking the time to savor your meal on the terrace in the shade of the plane trees, enjoying the wonderful atmosphere and the friendly service from the staff in the kitchen.
