12/08/2026: An exceptional experience on the banks of the Ill River. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the elegance and refinement of the setting. The white-clothed tables, tastefully decorated, created a serene and very welcoming atmosphere. The exquisite cuisine completely charmed us. Every detail, from the delicate presentation of the amuse-bouches served in small bowls to the wine selection, testifies to remarkable expertise. We had an unforgettable time and will gladly return.

30/07/2026: We had a lovely dinner at La Gourmandine, Côté Marché, overlooking Marché Victor Hugo. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The ingredients tasted fresh and the dishes were nicely presented. We started with the fried artichokes with gribiche sauce, which were crisp, flavourful, and especially good dipped into the sauce. Yum!! For our mains, we had the grilled wild hake with black rice, the cassoulet with duck and Toulouse sausage, and the Turkey Cordon Bleu. All three dishes were enjoyable and well prepared, though overall we found the food very good rather than exceptional. We also enjoyed a refreshing St-Germain Spritz and some lovely rosé. For dessert, we had the Passion Fruit Trompe-l’œil, with a chocolate shell, creamy filling, and passion fruit centre. It was beautifully presented and SO delicious. Overall, La Gourmandine offers a pleasant dining experience with a nice atmosphere, attentive service, and fresh ingredients. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend it.

17/03/2026: We had dinner at the Ferme de Cupelin restaurant. It was our first time there since the new owners took over. We were surprised to find a set menu of either 6 or 8 courses. We chose the 6-course option. The food was of good quality and well-presented, but we were a little disappointed with the accompanying jus and sauces, as they lacked flavor. The service was very professional, but we preferred the kindness and friendliness of the previous owners. The staff was a bit rushed. We had a pleasant time overall. In previous years, we were regular customers, but with the new management, we might not return.

02/08/2026: A fantastic restaurant with a truly excellent vegan menu – kudos for that! The service was top-notch, with lovely waiters and waitresses. I highly recommend it.

31/07/2026: We stopped by chance (we're a couple with three children) and found the service very welcoming. The dishes were simple but beautifully presented, and finally, a croque monsieur without béchamel sauce! Everyone was happy, even the pickiest eaters! We'll be back on our next visit to Brive!

11/08/2026: This restaurant is the best I've ever been to! Patrick, the owner, is incredibly friendly. A truly great cook (and pastry chef!)! A true artist! He's passionate about his work, but also very down-to-earth and approachable. His partner, Kéra, is very graceful and always smiling. She deserves a lot of credit because she's a night-shift caregiver in a nursing home and she also works as a waitress at the restaurant. Respect, Madam! I know this restaurant well now and I'll be going back soon. When my friends and I say "let's go to Patrick's for dinner," it's already a pleasure even before we arrive!
