20/09/2024: We have been coming at least once a year for 18 years. The welcome is always there, the cuisine always at the top!! The discovery plate with 4 species of fish is exceptional!!

14/09/2024: Too good! Everything was good: the oysters (well done to whoever opened them, not a single little piece of shell in them) the lamb shank very well cooked and well seasoned, the tiramisu 😋 generous portion (it's for 2). Fast service. In short, nothing to say, it was perfect!

23/08/2024: A stone's throw from the motorway, an excellent village restaurant with good products and a warm welcome. Menu at €15.90 unlimited starter (quality), main course and dessert plus wine, all excellent: for the same price you have a stale sandwich and a Coke on a motorway rest area... terrace possible depending on the period. In addition, the village is magnificent and worth the detour in itself. Thank you to our hosts!

24/09/2024: Came with family and we discovered this restaurant! The menus are either a la carte or the menu of the day. Excellent cuisine 😋. The wait between dishes is long, but that's nothing when we discover our plate, we enjoy it, it's fresh, well cooked. Well done 👏👏👍 to the master restorer!! This is a great restaurant to know.

25/09/2024: Tout a commencé par l'accueil. La gérante nous a accueilli avec un grand sourire et beaucoup de sympathie. La suite s'est passée dans l'assiette. Tout simplement extra, les produits sont frais, très bons, et très bien cuisinés. Les assiettes sont très bien dressées et donnent envie de manger. Les quantités sont parfaites. Nous pouvons dire que le talent du chef est grand. Un mot aussi sur la propreté des lieux. Tout est impeccable et très bien entretenu. La fin du repas se termine par un petit moment d'échanges avec la gérante du lieu et un très beau sourire à notre départ. Le restaurant est facile d'accès, de nombreux stationnements juste à côté. L'été, la terrasse est ombragée, cependant il vaut peut être mieux réserver pour être sûr d'avoir une table en terrasse. Un moment vraiment parfait passé dans ce restaurant. Merci merci et merci. 20/09/2024: Habitué depuis plusieurs années repas entre amis, nous avons été déçus, les portions moins copieuses et dans le menu le fromage est supprimé. Nous sommes sortis avec la faim. Dommage.

24/07/2024: Surfait … vous trouverez bien meilleur et moins cher sur La Rochelle . 26€ le menu entrée plat … ou plat dessert c’est abusé ! Portions très petites …

24/07/2024: Exzellentes Essen zu vernünftigem Preis. Alles sehr frisch und von Hand zubereitet. Vorspeise „Oeuf de Marans“ war besonders fein, aber auch das pièce de boucher.

18/09/2024: Café Snack “Le Chougare” (= Sugar!) just opposite the La Rochelle SNCF train station. Very warm welcome by the owners (Jean-Noël and his wife). Very reasonable prices (much more than others in the same sector…). Family type bar (not “Tourist trap”). Ideal for people or students passing through the area, especially between the train station and the different schools. Very clean. In addition, a big advantage for internet users: as much as you want on the terrace or 20 minutes indoors (editor's note: yes, indoors, you have to leave room for others...). Good and economical breakfast (coffee + pastries). All I have to do is try the sandwiches, the homemade dishes and the wraps which all look very good. I recommend this small business, especially for young and old looking for peace and quiet, both to study and to chat in peace. Provisional score: 19/20.

09/09/2024: Delicious quiche and excellent homemade flan in an establishment that exudes good humor. Very practical for a quick bite to eat between two trains, or when connecting a train and regional coaches at the bus station.

08/09/2024: Buffalo Grill...what else can I say. Classic, but here the welcome and especially the service are really nice. So no hesitation if you want to not worry and eat for a reasonable price. And what’s more, dogs are allowed and well treated 😀
